Hello, We have two Nutanix box each one has a node, both of them are connected to one physical switch. The Scenario is: We have one VM with Windows Server 2019 that has a File Server solution that needs to be accessible for two different VLANs (10.9.61.xx && 10.9.64.xx)The Steps that we did.1- Created one virtual switch "vs0" with Active-Back2- Created 3 VLANs on the same switch "Vlan0, VLAN 61, and VLAN 64".3- Attached 2 vNICs with VLAN 61 and 64 to that VM.The issue is: that we are unable to access the server from the "user device that is part of VLAN61 or 64". but accessible from VLAN 0 if attached to the VLAN 0.
Dear All,I’ve have a question about a licensing of the AOS (ROBO per per VM).Environment: vSphere7 (vCenter7 + 2-node ESXi clusters). Basically, fresh Nutanix cluster with HA feature enabled is hosting x4 “service” Virtual Machine:* x2 CVMs, x2 vCLS ( https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/80472 )As far I understand CVMs don’t need to be covered by the ROBO license, but what about a vCLS? How AOS is qualifies vCLS: as a service or a “standard” VM?Also, do I need ROBO license for the powered-off VMs?Regards,Dominik
Hi All,We’ve got a cluster which we have recently not renewed support/maintenance on as we are in the process of decommissioning it, however still have some workloads which are lagging behind being decommissioned.Noticed today that the license expiry is approaching (November 2021), what will happen once the license expires?CheersJason
Hello,Nutanix AHV service chain with Fortinet FW test as belowVM1 and FWVM1 in AHV node1, VM2 and FWVM2 in AHV node2, enable service chain redirect traffic successful.BTW, when shutdown FWVM1 simulates FW failure, VM in node1 service disturbed until disable Service Chain redirects traffic to FW. Any solution and setting could provide high availability, except disable Service Chain?

Hello,I Hope finding some help here, I have a now freshly outdated 3 nodes NX-1065-G5 on AOS 6.5.2 LTS with Starter License, recently a SSD crashed on a node and CVM failed. My nutanix portal is now closed, and documentation access is restricted...Cluster is in production with now no resiliency,I manage to find a new accepted SSD and start the phoenix repair process to rebuild the CVM.CVM started now successfully, wrong management IP after phoenir repair, so I set it up in /etc/sysconfig/ifcfg-eth0 OK, now I can ping it, BUT CVM didn’t rejoin the cluster. What can I do to make my CVM fully operationnal and getting again resiliency ? Thanks you,A desesperate IT guy.
Are there any examples or GitHub repo with snippets how to restore a VM Recovery Point from Prism Central? I could not find any in documentation https://www.nutanix.dev/reference/prism_central/v3/

The RAM usage on the Controller VM or Prism Central VM has been high, I have tried deleting all the old logs from the affected CVM’s Logs folder, and freed up space upto 6 GB. But still getting this the crritical alert every few hours.
Hi My Nutanix Cluster System is in Darksite(no internet) so require to do a Download and bring it to direct upload.I am still confused on why and when do we need to put the CVM and host in maintenance mode? as the upgrade guide did not mention about putting the CVM or host in maintenance mode as per below.ProcedureOn Prism Central clusters, do these steps. Perform an LCM inventory, which also updates the LCM framework. Do not upgrade any other software component except LCM in this step. Upgrade and run Nutanix Cluster Check (NCC) on Prism Central. Upgrade Prism Central. On Prism Element clusters, upgrade LCM and NCC, then run NCC. Perform an LCM inventory, which also updates the LCM framework. Do not upgrade any other software component except LCM in this step. Upgrade and run NCC. On Prism Element clusters, upgrade remaining software. If it has been more 24 hours since the last LCM inventory, perform an LCM inventory. Upgrade Foundation. Upgrade Cluster Maintenance Utilities.
Hello Nutanix API devs (or community),Our team currently uses v1, v2 along with v3 versions of Nutanix API. Wondering if there is published documentation on how long into the future the older versions (v1 and v2) are going to be working and/or supported. Thank you in advance!
I am using Nutanix community edition and I want to install Nutanix move for migration of AHV vms to Aws/Azure. But I am unable to get/install nutanix move zip download file or image file for 4.x versions or even 3.x versions as Support portal is asking for service tags. Any suggestions how can I use Nutanix move for community edition?
Hello everyone, new to Nutanix and we are starting to migrate off of ESXi and into Nutanix. We have migrated 20 Vm’s with no issues. We are doing our next 10 migration and we are reciening this error when seeding “Reader client error: rpc error: code = DeadlineExceeded desc = context deadline exceeded” I have verified that Nutanix Drivers are installed on the source VM’s. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you’re working with a Nutanix AHV Cluster and need to download IOS files, here’s a step-by-step guide to make the process seamless.Step 1: Connect to CVM via SSHOpen a secure shell (SSH) session to one of the Controller Virtual Machines (CVM) in your Nutanix cluster. Use the following command:ssh nutanix@<CVM-IP-Address>Step 2: List Available ImagesOnce connected, use the Nutanix Acropolis Command Line Interface (acli) to list available images:#acli image.listStep 3: Copy Image UUIDIdentify the IOS image you want to download and copy its UUID.#acli image.get <Image-UUID>From the results, copy the vdisk_uuid associated with the desired imageStep 4: Download Using WinSCPDownload and install WinSCP, a popular file transfer tool. Connect to one of the CVM IP addresses on port 2222 using the SFTP protocol. Ensure that you use the username ‘admin,’ not the Nutanix CVM username.Navigate to the container and locate the disk image corresponding to the previously copied vdisk_uuid
As far as I know, Nutanix CVM uses CentOS 7. But from official announcement, CentOS will EOL June 30, 2024. Will Nutanix plan to use another version of CentOS?
