So I’m currently in the middle of a Nutanix Deployment and are in the process of setting up our Nutanix Move 6.2 application for our new Nutanix environment. The goal is to start migration of VMs off our existing VMWare 8 environment. I noticed that Nutanix Move requires VMware’s VDDK (Virtual Disk Development Kit) in order to safely snapshot, clone and restore VMs for third party developers.Originally I put a ticket in with Nutanix and as part of their KB about setting Nutanix Move up. It mentioned going to the latest VDDK available on Broadcom’s page and downloading it. Unfortunately that link no longer works: So next step was to open a ticket with Broadcom’s support. Broadcom’s response was the VDDK (Virtual Disk Development Kit) has moved to VMWare’s TAP portal (Technology Alliance Program). You have to be enrolled with a support contract. Which I am and just updated my profile to enroll in the TAP program. I later received an email as part of the onboarding process for TA

Hi, Hope everyone are ok,I have a quick question, is possible to install AHV in 3 nodes that have only 2 SSDsI know that 3 disks are need it, but i tried to use USB to install “H” and “C” and “D” in the other ones. There is some configuration or something to bypass and install in a USB “H”, because i can´t add a third disk in each node,Right now im using it in a nested VM ESXi solution, but is not the same experience… Thanks in advance,

Hello everyone. We are deploying Nutanix for the first time using foundation v5.7 with 4node XC-660 servers and Dell S5224-ON top of rack switches. Any ideas? We have a case open as well with Nutanix
Dear experts,I have successfully installed Nutanix Community Edition (CE) 2.1 on VMware Workstation, but I'm facing a networking issue.Environment Platform: VMware Workstation Nutanix Version: Community Edition 2.1 Allocated Resources: 65 GB RAM 8 vCPUs Installation completed successfully, and I can log in to Prism without any issues.ProblemAfter logging into Prism, I checked the Network Configuration, but the Virtual Switch list is empty. Because no virtual switch is available, I'm unable to create a VM since there is no network to attach. What I've CheckedInstallation completed without any reported errors. Prism is accessible through the management IP. The virtual switch is not created or displayed under the networking section.Has anyone experienced this issue with CE 2.1 running on VMware Workstation? Is there any additional configuration required after installation, or could this be related to the VMware virtual network adapter configuration?Any guidance or troubleshooting steps w

Running pc.7.5.1.6.We have a Guest Customization Profile (Guided Setup, Windows Sysprep) with Network Settings set to "Provide during deployment". When deploying a VM from a template using this profile, the Subnet Mask field in the Network Settings section pre-fills with 255.255.255.255.We looked through Prism Central for somewhere to change this default but couldn't find a setting for it.If left as-is (only filling in IP and Gateway, assuming Subnet Mask might not need touching), the VM actually comes up with a /32 subnet mask applied — not just placeholder text, it's a real configured value that gets used. This breaks connectivity since the host believes it's the only one on the subnet. Is this /32 pre-fill intentional, or should it default to something more sensible like /24 (or just be left blank/required)? Wondering if this is a known bug worth reporting via support, or if there's a reason for it we're missing.Anyone else hit this on 7.5.x?

Hi all,As part of the planned replacement of our current Nutanix cluster later this year, we are reviewing the network infrastructure requirements for the new deployment.Since a large portion of our network is already built on Ubiquiti switching, I would like to evaluate whether the Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus Aggregation Switches would be a suitable platform for the new cluster.Based on the published specifications, these switches appear to meet the required connectivity and performance criteria. Before proceeding further, I would appreciate any feedback regarding their suitability for a Nutanix environment, particularly with respect to redundancy, high availability, east-west traffic handling.Has anyone deployed or validated these switches in a similar virtualization or hyperconverged infrastructure environment? Thanks in advance for your insights.Kind regards,Erik
