i installed community edition on a no internet access network on a vsphere VM.Now i cannot bypass NEXT credentials page So,I added another nic to the VM on the internet VLAN, and I assigned IP and mask and added a route. I cannot still access internet, and the CVM itself cannot detect any of this changes. Any idea how to fix this? and how can i bypass this NEXT page if i dont have internet access allowed? thanks
After deploying 6 Lenovo ThinkAgile HX650 V3 CE nodes in a single cluster, Nutanix Prism Element shows that it has no active licenses. In the Nutanix portal website with the end user credentials, it can be seen that it has the starter and pro licenses. When uploading the cluster summary file generated by Nutanix Prism Element, it shows the error "No compatible products found for the uploaded cluster summary file". The cluster does not have access to DNS or an NTP server. I have also tried entering the cluster information as Dark Site but it continues to show the same error. I would appreciate it if you could tell me how I can overcome the error and upload the license. Thank you.
Nutanix external networking seems to be broken. I’m installing on a dell R730 with multiple networking cards and LOM ports. I can only get to the system via idrac. I can't seem to ssh to ahv or the cvm. I can't browse to http:// management_ip_addr either. I have no way into the system other than idrac.Internal networking seems fine. I just can’t go external (ex. ping gateway) My thought is that there is some sort of disconnect between the virtual networks and the physical ports. For example, in VMware you need to select the right physical port for your virtual management network. I reinstalled 4 times on bare metal and don’t have any instructions wor selecting physical ports.
I am trying to stablish ssh connection using PUTTY, cluster virtual IP, Nutanix user login and password. But I got “Access denied” Could you suggest any guidance on how to grant access to CMVs though SSH?
Hello everyone,I am currently experiencing a recurring issue with my Nutanix cluster: every day at exactly 9:35 PM, the cluster crashes and then restarts a short time afterward. Once it comes back online, the system automatically initiates “Repairing metadata for node…” tasks on all three nodes.While checking the logs, I noticed the following events:Power on VM after failover recovery Multiple service restarts of acropolis,anduril,aplos,aplosengine,catalog,clusterconfig,delphi,ergon,flow,lazan,minervacvm,uhuraacropolis, anduril, aplos, aplos_engine, catalog, cluster_config, delphi, ergon, flow, lazan, minerva_cvm, uhuraacropolis,anduril,aplos,aplosengine,catalog,clusterconfig,delphi,ergon,flow,lazan,minervacvm,uhura across all CVMs. The most recent crashes for these services occurred on January 8, 2025, between 9:31 PM and 9:34 PM.Has anyone encountered a similar behavior or have any suggestions on how to resolve this recurring crash? When I go to PrismCentral registration and enter configuration items => deploy, the following message is detected and it will not deploy.~~~~Prism Element is not compatible to enable Microservice Infrastructure:cmsp domain prism-central.cluster.local name already in use~~~~Added DNS server role to a stepping stone server (Windows Server 2022).Because the above error was detected after adding a forward referenced zone in Cluster.local,The same error message was detected when PrismCentral was deployed again with the zone removed. I was told that a DNS server is required and name resolution is not necessary.Does this mean that it does not matter if the device with the IP address configured with a DNS server is not assigned the DNS server role?Or does it mean that we need to add a DNS server role, create a forward reference zone, and add A records such as AHV?What are the possible causes and remedies for the above situation?
I have an incident with a new 3 Host cluster with NCE 6.8.1: In Dashboard show Please enter your NEXT account information to access the cluster. When I log in with my mynutanix credentials I get the following error message: Cannot validate the credentials provided The CMV IP has internet access, pinging google.com or nutanix.com resolves without problems.Could someone help me with this problem, since the Prism dashboard won't load.

Trying to migrate a Server 2008 R2 server, and when I try to do a manual migration and run the script on the server, its saying its not running a supported OS. Support is trying to help, but we really aren’t getting anywhere, and I’m running up against a hard deadline to get this server migrated.
Hello everyone, I have been trying to deploy Nutanix CE 2.0 in VMware vSphere - I am using 3 VMs and the idea is to make a lab environment to test the services that Nutanix offers. I hit on a rock with the creation of the cluster. First I noticed not enough CPUs were allocated for the CVMs, I now have 4 vCPUs for each CVM, the storage is 64 GB, 200 GB and 500 GB for each VM. My services weren’t coming UP and I got error from Medusa service about a Cassandra failure. I checked that an NTP server problem may be behind this error. I wanted to destroy the cluster in order to start again and add an NTP server to the cluster itself. Well, I am stuck now on “Destroy is in progress on the nodes: [cvm1, cvm2, cvm3 ip addresses] for more than 4 hours. I cannot either start the cluster, now that it is in “stopped” state, I cannot cancel the destruction and I cannot create any new clusters… Some services are still staying UP like Zeus, Xmount, Scavenger, but the others are DOWN.I tried various com

1. What happens if a dark site can't import CSF files and therefore can't convert licenses?2. If I don't currently have PCs installed in my cluster or have a low AOS version that prevents me from applying a new license, is converting my license for now the right way to go?3. I have a cluster configured with NX-3060-G6 NBL licenses. In this case, for the G6 equipment, the EOSL is known to be until January 31, 2020. Are these licenses not extendable or renewable?4. Conversely, if the CBL expires by January 31, will it be possible to renew or convert to 2.0 without any restrictions? There's a lot I don't know about converting licenses.

Hello,Just wanted to know if anyone else here experienced this issue where the host in my single node cluster is not schedulable. Already the following:1. Enter/exit maintenance mode2. Restart the CVM / AHV HostAlso noticed that the Prism element Hardware tab shows 0 usable CPU/RAM capacity on this AHV host. We are sizing Nutanix HCI with 10 nodes, First cluster with compute having 4 nodes and Second cluster with 6 nodes for Object Storage. We need license suggestions here, and clarity on if we use some of the storage space from second cluster for the VMs do we still need the NUS license, or on first cluster if we use the 194TB for VMs do we need to purchase NUS? Need suggestion if sizing can be optimized. There is GPU as well for 4 compute nodes, which is separately license by Nvidia.
