Hello, I am seeking your assistance with enabling replication on my cluster, which consists of 5 servers and 60 VMs. I am undecided between Metro mode and Asynchronous mode on Prism Central. Given that I have two clusters using Metro-type replication, we encounter difficulties when Metro mode is activated, as clients experience significant slowdowns on their VMs. This is why I am considering enabling Asynchronous replication on Prism Central. My question is: if I activate Asynchronous replication on Prism Central while other clusters are using Metro mode, will this have any impact? Thank you for your help.

Is there a requirement to have ESX enterprise plus licenses in an nutanix metro availability with manual failover/startup in case of issues in 1 cluster?or will vmware standard licenses do? I don’t see the need for Ent+ licenses but had different feedback in the field. thanks!
Hello Team. <issue summary>Windows server 2016 VM was restored after async DR to another cluster. If I check through Prism or CVM acli, the local vdisk looks normal in the list.However, some local vDisks are not recognized inside Windows OS.The disks are not identified in "Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions" at all.The weird thing is that other local vdisk looks normal.VG attached in DAS way looks normal vdisk.async DR was performed from AOS 5.20.5 to AOS 6.5.5.5. <Current Environment>- AOS 6.5.5.5- OS : Windows Server 2016 Standard- VirtIO : 1.2.3- vdisk bus : scsi If you restore it from the AS-IS cluster and check it, the local vdisk looks normal on the OS.In a TO-BE cluster, some local v disks are not recognized by the OS.Has anyone had a similar experience?If you have any, please tell me about the solution or cause. Hi Team,We are trying to deploy NCI cluster and env is Cisco C series M7 connected fabric interconnect, UCS domain mode deployment. Nutanix AOS/AHV- 6.5.5.7 version. 1. Looking for information on how many MAC pool required . As the document says to create a default MAC pool and unique MAC pool. is it 2 pool required.2. Normally there will be separate MAC pool for each FI /Fabric interconnect which will be used for server based on connection. For instance, server A has 2 NIC and 1Each connected to FIA and FIB. Both NIC cards will get MAC ID from deferent pool. In Foundation only one MAC pool can be used and that should be default MAC pool. do we have create 3 Mac pool default , MAC-A and MAC-B pool. If yes, were we can provide MAC-A and MAC-B pool info when deploying.3. Regarding VLAN created for NCI cluster in UCS Manager. I am using Foundations for Windows, cabled directly into switch, deploying to new Dell R630s bare metal, same subnet. I go through the wizard fine, IPMI credentials are verified, iDRAC works fine, IMPI over LAN enabled. The install fails with the above Exception. I can post more logs if desired.I have:- turned off Windows Firewall- updated host firmware- ran the Foundations program as an Administrator in Windows- verified physical connectivityThe complete error message is:Exception: Imaging <bmc_utils._remote_boot_idrac.RemoteBootIdrac8 object at 0x000001C3A99CDFA0> requires USERSPACE_NFS feature, try run foundation with root/administrator.Google did not turn up anything with this. Any suggestions?
Hi Nutanix Peeps, I am new in HCI technology and would like to seek your insights on how to configure native VLAN in the Nutanix Environment. The plan was to remove the default VLAN (Data Traffic) to all Cisco access switches therefore removing it will also require to configure new native VLAN in the trunk link between the switches and Nutanix Hosts. Hi TeamI am trying to execute some NCLI command to interact with my Cluster. I have download the nCLI artifacts from my Prism Central web UI. The system ran the installation but when the reboot started to finish setup it required a username and password but nothing seems to be working. Any help to resolve this would be helpful.

Hi TeamI am trying to automate the VM creation through Powershell Cmdlets. I can see there are two different version of Powershell Cmdlets are present https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=PS-Cmdlets-AOS-v6_6:ps-ps-cmdlets-c.htmlFrom the document, I observed that Powershell 2.0.1 supports execution of these cmdlets from Ubuntu and Mac along with Windows which is not the case in first version. The first version is only works from a Windows machine. But there is a significant difference between the Powershell Cmdlets present in V1 and V2.Can you please let me know do we have any limitation wrt Cmdlets if we use V2 or we can do all the operations that can be done by V1? If V2 have certain limitation then do we need to use the SDK or API in order to automate the task? Thanks

Prism Central IP is correct in the command and ping to this machine is also working. I am confused is it necessary to run sysprep after deploying a new VM from the template. Hi,I upgraded Calm vm from 3.7.2.1 to 3.7.2.2 but now I read from release notes of calm vm 3.8 that isn’t possible to upgrade from 3.7.2.2 to 3.8.How can I safetely remove calm vm 3.7.2.2 and reinstall the version 3.8?Thanks Regards
