when try start the pod on OpenShift failed to mount the pvc MountVolume.SetUp failed for volume "pvc-2cda6c56-7750-4c7a-b3fc-40ff619eb573" : rpc error: code = Aborted desc = An operation with the given Volume ID NutanixVolumes-64dadbc8-464e-451d-661f-5ecc63102edd already exists  any help here

I have to move VM from another infrastructure  (VMWARE) to nutanix  (also VMWARE).Is possible to mount on the source the Nutanix storage via NFS to move the VM Files? I need to have the max speed. Thanks

Hello Team,One of our customer have a requirement to use a different subnet for Nutanix Volume iSCSI IP address than the CVM IP subnet range. This is because he wants the iSCSI volume traffic not to flow via his firewall. So he intent to use IP subnet for iSCSI Volume same as the VM (iSCSI Initiator) range. Going by the documentation https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Volumes-Guide:vol-volumes-external-ip-address-c.html, it states: “This IP address should be in the same subnet as the cluster Controller VM IP eth0 network interface addresses”Is this a mandatory requirement? Thank you in advance!

We have a cluster with 3 nodes, we have configured multiple bridges for different networks, we isolated the NTNX cluster management traffic on specific VLAN and the Backplane traffic on another VLAN as well, we have a backup network with two different dedicated links on a different VLAN.This backup network which the Veritas NetBackup software is in, and as far as I know it supports Nutniax clusters backup via a plugin, the backup host in our setup is on a different VLAN on a different bridge, so it's isolated from Nutanix cluster management and cluster VIP.What is the best way to get the backup solution working with the mentioned setup, is there a way to expose the Nutanix API and allow access for that VLAN on dedicated bridge via different IP? or we have to configure network segmentation for KVolumns service? and if so, what the recommended way to route the traffic between the CVMs and the backup network bridge?Thanks

Hello folks,There is a requirement to configure Oracle RAC in a Nutanix environment.The hypervisor will be used with AHV, and license it plan to use is NCI Starter.It appears to be possible to implement this by using the Nutanix Volumes functionality to reference the Shared Disk as an iSCS target to the internal Guest OS.In the past, there was no cost for internal use with Nutanix Volumes, but now with the new license format, will an additional NUS license be required? Hello team,Always in learning Nutanix that’s totally new for me, I performed some tests today. One of those was to remove a disk to check if system will still be up. And… no :)All the CVM is crashed because it don’t find the removed disk.I have a Nutanix CE with a single node cluster. Is Nutanix storage pool not working as a RAID (1 or 5?) by default? Is there something to configure? Coming from VMWare, I make the comparison. On my ESXi I can lost one disk as I’m protected by the RAID-5 of the Raid-controller. Should I also use a RAID-5 for Nutanix? I read that disk must be in RAID-0 and Nutanix will protect it. How protect my single node cluster from a single disk failure?I certainly misunderstand or misconfigure something. Thanks for you help ! PS: The disk I removed was not one of those declared for the CVM during the installation, it’s a “Data” disk. 

Hi Team, I am new to Nutanix and I am learning the product. Like VMware supports adding external storage systems via iSCSI / FC and we can create datastore. Nutanix does not support external storage connection via iSCSI or FC, am I right? The only option is add local disks on the AHV server… Is there any roadmap when the external storage connectivity will be allowed?

Hi All, I have deployed one node cluster and it is running well.I would like to additional HDD of 500GBI added the 500 GB drive on the AHV node however how do I add it on the consoleany suggestion… thanks

I have a program that is requiring us to use a “local disk” for a storage path and throws an error if I try to use a mapped drive such as “S” … this program is published on (2) Windows Server VMs My thinking to resolve this is - Create a new ISCSI Volume in the Nutanix, Then grant access to BOTH of the Windows VMs via ISCSI so that drive shows up as a local ISCSI device on both of the servers. My Question for you is, does Nutanix support me connecting 2 machines at the same time to the same ISCSI Volume?   Thank You

Hello,We recently purchased 2 x NX-8235N-G8-CM (total of 4 nodes), which will be explicitly used as storage servers.I am having some trouble performing the initial configuration and wondering if I could get some support as I am stuck. This would be my first time setting up a Nutanix device and not sure where to begin.I did try to use the Nutanix Foundation, but no luck while trying to follow what was done here: I do have few questions regarding Foundation though.What I did:Plug in the new devices’s IPMI/data port to a dummy switch (IPMI/HOST IP will be on same subnet) Plug in my laptop with a prod IP address (i.e. 10.8.1.0.24) to switch Launch Nutanix Foundation for Windows Follow what was done in the above videos with my IP addressesNote: I am not running any DHCP nor did I set any static IP for IPMI/AHV/CVM. I read that AHV is already installed for devices sold in the US; however, not sure if the CVM is already installed though. The setup process does ask for manual entries for IPMI/
