Hi everyone,I’m trying to download the latest version of Nutanix Community Edition (CE), specifically v7.1 or newer (ideally matching AOS 7.3). However, I can only find the download link for CE v6.8.1 on the official portal.Does Nutanix still offer CE versions aligned with AOS 7.x (e.g., 7.1, 7.2, or 7.3)? If so, could someone please share the correct download link or guidance on how to access it?Thanks in advance!

Hi,I am using 3xhpe dx 320 Gen 11 want to create 3 Node cluster. After using Foundational tool to create cluster , first it doesnt discover the nodes so have added the nodes manually when i start to create cluster it throws different errors. Connected to switch with LACP and port channel active. It is fresh intallation (Hardware pre installed by nutanix).​@Jeroen Tielen

I have a test 3-node Nutanix cluster. Just starting to learn. They are NX G9s. Each node has 4x25GB ports, but during installation only 2 were configured. Is it possible, or even best practice, to islolate the storage traffic from the VM traffic? Ie, maybe configure the unused 2 ports as another vSwtich and run the distributed fabric over that? If so, even possible to do this after install? Apologies for any misunderstandings. 

I create a 3 node cluster on top of ESXi for lab. assign 3 nic in each node. After cluster build  by default 4 nic attach with switch vs0. When i remove 2 nic from the vs0, it automatically hypervisor rolling restart.  How can i remove 2 nic form vs0. I tried from cli but result same.  

I have downloaded the NutanixCli from Prism Central. Instead of using the shortcut desktop app I would like to use with VSCode. Has anyone been able to use it that way? What steps do you have to do to make it work?

I’m trying to enable File Analytics for my Files instance, but I keep getting the error: “Can’t connect to provided domain” when attempting domain join.Here’s my setup and what I’ve verified so far:Environment: AD server, Files server, and File Analytics server are all deployed within the same cluster. Files Configuration: SMB authentication is enabled under Authentication. Administrator account is configured under Manage Roles. Connectivity Checks: From the File Analytics console, I can successfully ping the AD server and perform nslookup for name resolution. Despite these checks, enabling File Analytics for Files still fails with the domain connection error. I’m running out of ideas at this point.Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Are there specific settings

I had a previous topic open on this but it’s been a while.  The previous topic concluded that the NICS weren’t compatible so I replaced them and reinstalled Nutanix CE.  It’s now installed but I don’t think it’s picking up the NICS still and I cannot get into the console to see.  The cards are Intel X550 cards.  Any ideas?

I have installed CE 6.8.1 and trying to upgrade using LCM method.LCM → Run Perform Inventory to upgrade NCC & LCM bundles.I have update AOS successfully with 6.8.1 to . 7.0.1.9. but when I am upgrading AHV I am facing issue.I am able to see: following available updates in LCM.  till el8.nutanix.20230302.103072 upgraded successfully. Hi all,I have 2 sites with a cluster in each site. The workloads are distributed between each cluster. I currently have one Prism Central managing both clusters.I have DR configured to a passive site hosted by a 3rd party in a datacenter in different region.There are resources on each cluster available, so now I want to configure DR between the clusters. At least for the critical VM’s. This should allow me to failover the critical servers quickly if only one site goes down. I’ll use the passive site if both go down.I’m assuming I will need to deploy another PC on the cluster that doesn’t currently have one. Ideally, I still want to manage both clusters from the primary PC in the co-lo facility. Is this possible? Or do I have to unregister the remote cluster from the current PC first then register it to the newly deployed PC then deal with managing each cluster from a different PC?I also read that I should be able to deploy the new PC directly from

Hi all,I have some NX-3155G-G7s which were purchased from Nutanix some time ago and the business has stopped using the Nutanix HV OS and the support contract that went with it.I am looking to upgrade the BIOS and firmware etc. on the servers and am having a hard time finding helpful information on how to go about it exactly.Is it possible to find the correct instructions on how to go through this on the platform along with the relevant binary downloads please?Sadly, the business has no appetite to renew their support contract with Nutanix so I’m in a bit of a bind.It would be super helpful if anyone has any information on this.Thanks in anticipation

I have a host I need to re-assign to other purposes. This host is part of an AOS cluster, running ESXi as a hypervisor. So basically, I need to remove the host from the ESXi cluster, then also gracefully remove it from the AOS cluster, so I can re-use the hardware elsewhere. It sems I have to first remove the host from the ESXi cluster (I can look up how to do that), but the instructions on how to then gracefully remove the node from the AOS cluster aren’t clear (to me). So we installed a Nutanix three-node cluster at our primary datacenter a couple years back. We had always been a VMWare/ESXi shop, and we needed a new cluster to replace the aging Cisco UCS we had running on ESXi.We debated when we installed it whether we should go with AHV, or if we should stick with ESXi on the new cluster. When I ran Perform Inventory it created "LCM root task has been created" and it got stuck at 0%. When I checked I saw that there was a NCC alert for idf db to db sync, which was resolved by following KB-5582 and KB-13381. But the task is still at 0%. Hello,I’ve been trying to begin my journey with APIs. After some reading and cross-checking with my feature requirements I decided to use APIv4 (as v3 doesn’t allow interacting with Templates, for example).For all I know (someone please correct me if I’m wrong) my current version of Prism Central [pc.7.3.0.6] as well as other components, like AHV [10.3.0.1] or AOS [7.3.0.5] should allow for apiv4 calls. Checking “about Nutanix” link in Prism Element gives out “Version 7.3.0.5 - STARTER License” but this starter license should allow for apiv4 - the internet says. Unfortunately all I can get at the moment is api v1,v2 and v3 and no there are no api v4 endpoints available at all.Can someone please tell me what’s going on? I’ve even started Prism upgrade from 7.3.0.5 to 7.3.0.6 to then go to 7.3.1 hoping that maybe the update will enable api v4, but the more I read about this the more I think this won’t resolve my issue.Thanks!

Does anyone have a checklist for implementing NKP in a customer's Nutanix environment?

I am a newbie to Nutanix and after successfully installing CE 2.1 on generic PCs and would like to go beyond CE and want to get into the commercial product just to get acquainted in my home lab. Bought an used NX-1175s-G7 with only the original 240GB NVME stick on the motherboard but no SSDs and HDDs and memory. Installed on hand 64GB memory and tried with some drives but the installation is failing always at this point. If someone has the exact model, I appreciate if you give me the above requested make and model part numbers. There are the last few lines of the installer. I have 3 servers as nodes for Nutanix CE. On the 1st and 3rd node the installation was successful.But when try to install on 2nd node I get an error. All server the same Dell PowerEdge R640 and i has installation through iDRAC Virtual Media.Physical disk the same on all servers:Whan i has try to install first time on 1st server i has same error, but whan i convert disk to Non-RAID problem has resolved.But on 2nd node it does not resolve problem.Please help with this error.

Hello All, I’m currently looking for a way to create a template that has installed NGT tools because I’m encountered an issue of Prism Central not detecting the NGT Tools Status of the VM (P.S this VM is deployed by a template that have already installed NGT Tools).I want to know how I can create a template which doesn’t need to do further after deployed a VM (Windows or Linux so whatever). Please share your thoughts.Thanks,

Hello,customer has 2 clusters in different datacenters and a single node “cluster” within PRISM central (also Witness instance) at 3rd location.If he is going to upgrade the single node (firmware) he must shut down all UVM, PRISM central too.How may he get the PRISM central vm to start automatically when cluster starts?kind regardsThomas
