Hello, I am looking for a way to automate the addition of a category for a DR Protection Policy.  I want the playbook to look for the categories of Production and Mission Critical for a VM.  If those two categories are present, I then want to add the category of DisasterRecoveryEnabled.  Thank you,Joe

I have un-register 2 cluster from prism central by following command.ncli multicluster remove-prism-element cluster-id=<cluster UUID>Now I want add back those 2 cluster again to the same prism central but can’t add it back.Getting following error.“The cluster is blacklisted for further registration”How can I unblock and back it back. We have a subset of VMs that a group of users needs readonly and console access.  This is not difficult with RBAC using categories.  However, when we clone these systems for testing  or new deployment, the assigned categories don’t get inherited from the source VM.  Since we do this often,  this is a management headache.Is this standard behavior?  If so, any ideas on how to do this easily? I was hoping projects might be helpful, but I can’t find much useful documentation or examples to guide me.

We have created playbook to categorize VM to align with backup configuration in Veeam, grouping by Cluster,Environment and such. I noticed that a category can have more than one value. A VM can potentially have both Testing and Production value for the builtin ‘Environment’ category.Could it be alerted somehow if a VM has two values for a category? And similarly is there a way to catch a VM that does not have any category? Regards,Jóhannes

Hi I using playbook to categorize vm’s according to cluster,os,sla and such. It’s working, but I want to see if it’s possible to assign a category based on two or more conditions. I’m only able to use the ‘branch’ to evaluate one condition. Is it possible to do AND when evaluating if a vm is assigned to a category?

Run the health check ncc health_checks system_checks pcvm_disk_usage_checkand if fails check if var/spool/maildrop is not the culprit. Ideally this logs should get cleared by itself. howver there is a limitiation in PC versions older than 2023.3.runallssh ‘df -i /’  (this will show you info about the mount points)runallssh 'sudo du --inode /var/spool/postfix/maildrop’  (this will show you the utilization in kbs)now run the below command will clear the logs, but try on your own risk as it needs to be done with nutanix supportallssh 'sudo postsuper -d ALL maildrop' thanks

Can Prism Central support like Vender provides  an app -  https://monitoring-tool.com which will internally call Prism Central API to monitor clusters?

IHAC who has configured splunk as their remote syslog server. They have also configured “Audit” module for both PE and PC. To test the logging, they are able to see events such as VMs powered off and on in splunk. But they are not able to gather any information on events such as user accounts creation / deletion, as we tried to create some local accounts in PE and PC to test. Do they need to configure anything else to capture such events?

Hello community members,On the *Intelligent Operations” dashboard in Prism Central, we can generate various reports. Is it possible to do exactly the same tasks using the API (v3 or the upcoming v4) ?I mean creating filters, generating and downloading the PDF or CSV etc. BestKévin 

I am new to this companies Nutanix system and we’re getting “Server is not reachable” from the Prisim login screen.I’m getting information overload trying to find where to start diagnosing this issue. Hoping someone can point me in a direction of what to try first. I am remote so I cannot interact with the system directly.

I am going to install oracle database server .So i created a volume group. with sperate disk for seperate mount points but inside oracle vm i need to create a LVM partition . So again i have to combine these disks to vg and then create lvm .  so here in this case i have created 2 vg one on nutanix and one one linux . does it add another overhead and cause performance issues ?

HiI have AHV version 20220304.342. I have deployed Prism Central version pc.2022.6.0.5 but when I try and register it I get an error message under tasks that tells me:Pre registration checks - failedThe reason is showing as ‘The username or password entered is incorrect’I have tried all different combinations for the user ‘admin’ and have even changed it but still the same?I also went into Local User Management and created another admin user account but still got the same result using that one too?Any advice welcome please? Many thanks

On the Prism analysis page, I want to see the disk usage chart for the VM.I created Chart by adding Disk Usage(%) to Metric, but I got No dataIt's coming. Is it a feature that's not supported?
