Okay, so I am still seeing weird behavior on my AHV server.At present I am unable to log into the console. Let’s say the username password is root:test. It’s not, but let’s say it is. It tells me it’s wrong, try again. Lather rinse repeat.I go to my PC and ssh into the same box, it works. Hi, We’re trying to run a POC initially on hardware that has a ASMB IPMI, this appears not supported for foundation deployment. We’re a bit confused about what we do as the documentation for ipmi-less installations isn’t really clear - any help would be greatly appreciated as its stopping us from doing any initial POC testing. We’ve tried multiple routes to install AHV/AOS but all seem to be falling flat at the moment.Foundation VM is unable to deploy to the IMPI targets, gives the Incompatible error. Does not auto discover targets, IPMI is a ASMB9-iKVM Attempts to manually create ISO on VBOX VM not successful, ISO is created by VM but unable to boot stating a kernel error. Tried multiple attempts at ISO and burning in different ways but no luck at all.

Hello, I have instantiated a new cluster and I can’t seem to figure out why the Network Visualization won’t work for my cluster.  LLDP is enabled on my Meraki switch. I completed a CE 2.0 install, I can access AHV and CVM from console, but not from the outside network. Do I need to modify iptables or do something specific with the bridge or vswitch? This is a single cluster on an hp dl380 gen9, I am only using 1 nic and my node is on vlan 20 with IPs 10.1.20.20 and 10.1.20.21 for AHV and CVM in my test lab. I have not set vlans on ahv or cvm. If i plug my laptop into vlan 20, I can’t ping or ssh to ahv or cvm. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Nutanix Peeps, I am new in HCI technology and would like to seek your insights on how to configure native VLAN in the Nutanix Environment. The plan was to remove the default VLAN (Data Traffic) to all Cisco access switches therefore removing it will also require to configure new native VLAN in the trunk link between the switches and Nutanix Hosts. Any help would be pretty much appreciated. Thank you so much!

i want to migrate VMs from ahv to ahv in the same cluster (let say from node A to node B) but the VMs status is powered off, in my case i dont want to powered on the VMs, i just want to migrate the VMs to another host without powered it on(live migrate). is there any workaround to do that ?Thank you all

Hi,Title was of course 2402/2430, not 2404/2430 🙃Having an issue in my home lab… The issue at handI had Nutanix CE2 running on this machine for more than a month. However, due to odd crashes and false positives with disconnect issues on the vs0 configuration (I guess), I figured I would attempt a complete reinstall, having used DP to backup all VMs to another Nutanix CE2 setup. Hi,I upgraded Calm vm from 3.7.2.1 to 3.7.2.2 but now I read from release notes of calm vm 3.8 that isn’t possible to upgrade from 3.7.2.2 to 3.8.How can I safetely remove calm vm 3.7.2.2 and reinstall the version 3.8?Thanks Regards

I need to migrate a FSVM file server cluster from my older Nutanix cluster to a new cluster. It sounds like there are several options for migrating my file shares that I have listed below. Have you done any of the options below and what would you recommend? 1) Protection domains (Entire FSVM cluster, moves IPs)2) Smart DR (Per Share, moves IPs and updates DNS)3) MOVE > (Per Share, new DNS, and manually update file share configs)  4) Something else? Any insights or experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi AllI have recently inherited an old (el7.nutanix.20201105.30281 is the version maybe?) 4-node Nutanix cluster and very soon after first looking at it and raising myself some tasks it has decided to stop working! I do not have support (turns out that expired a couple of months ago) and while I do intend to resolve that situation I just need to get the thing back online ASAP as it runs some critical servicesThe initial problem was caused by one of the nodes running out of inodes on the root disk. I cleared this down (it was just a LOT of emails in the spool) but the prism console was not available afterwards.
