HiI have AHV version 20220304.342. I have deployed Prism Central version pc.2022.6.0.5 but when I try and register it I get an error message under tasks that tells me:Pre registration checks - failedThe reason is showing as ‘The username or password entered is incorrect’I have tried all different combinations for the user ‘admin’ and have even changed it but still the same?I also went into Local User Management and created another admin user account but still got the same result using that one too?Any advice welcome please? Many thanks

On the Prism analysis page, I want to see the disk usage chart for the VM.I created Chart by adding Disk Usage(%) to Metric, but I got No dataIt's coming. Is it a feature that's not supported?

How can I get Nutanix Move? When I go to https://portal.nutanix.com/ I get this. I’m running CE edition, and would like to test out moving from test ESXi to my CE edition. 

I would like to create variables that are reusable in blueprints - things like package store URI, proxy URL, etc. I don’t think it makes sense to define these in every blueprint, as they’re identical; we want to keep that kind of thing DRY.The docs state that Variable Types defined in the Library are reusable across blueprints. But if I define MY_VAR as a new Variable Type with a value, it has no value when expanded in a blueprint script as @@{MY_VAR}@@. What is the trick to defining these vars at the Library level and using them in Blueprints? Thanks!

I would like to know what the root cause for this Warning Alert. It occurs on the day i was patching the LCM to version 2.7.1 .  The Warning alert is Maximum supported HDD/Total capacity installed on hybrid nodes. I am working on converting my scripts to Powershell 7.x. I tried to use the Nutanix cmdlets 2.0.1 provided for Prism Central. Attempting to connect to Prism Central is failing. Six months ago I played around with it and it worked then but now does not.Our main Prism Central instance is pc.2023.1.0.2. We also have a test instance which is pc.2023.4. A disk failed at one node and replaced the disk.I'm trying to restart with CVM and connect to SSHAuthentication continues to fail.Node is in maintenance mode.An SSH key was created to connect without a password, but the node is not connected through the key.Is there another way to connect to a single mode like regular Linux?Or is there a way to create a new CVM?

Hi team:We are doing POC for Nutanix Objects. So far function testing has no problems, but we have a question about backup: How to backup objects which is located Nutanix Objects? I don’t know if there are 3rd backup software supports to backup objects in Nutanix Objects. We now use IBM TSM and EMC Networker for on-premises backup for VMDK, file and DB. Thanks!

Hello!A few years ago, there was a topic raised about this issue, but I would like to confirm if there are any current issues.I am currently using version 5.20 of AOS and it was confirmed that the installation was done with RF3 two years ago.I would like to change this to RF2. I know that it is not possible to change the FT, but I only want to change the part related to Storage.It seems that the command ncli ctr edit rf=2 id=container_ID can be used for this purpose.When making the change, do Nutanix ManagementShare and SelfServiceContainer also need to be changed?Will there be any impact on the service during the change?

Hi,I need to use the API to select the primary NIC that Foundation will use to discover nodes. When I try the request :GET https://[fvm_ip]:8000/foundation/primary_nicI get the following result :{ "primary_nic": 2}That is expected. But when I send the same request using POST, which is valid according the documentation, I now get :{ "error": { "details": [ "'nic' is a required property" ], "message": "Unprocessable Entity", "session_id": null }}My understanding is that the request should be used with a parameter or a body specifying the new primary NIC. But The documentation does not state anything about it. So I tried to pass in “nic”:1 as a parameter and as a body, but still the same error.Is it a bug ? Trying to deploy a VM through ansible playbook.  Deployment work fine. But I would like to configure IP address, netmask and gateway. Also I would like to add code for joining the vm to AD domain. Looked into guest_customization. But I am not finding any documentation on how to use guest_customization. There is some, but it only for Linux systems. I see ESXi 8.0 U1a “Vendor” was recently added to the compatibility matrix for HPE DX360 Gen 10 for AOS 6.7.1 and 6.7.1.5 Does this also imply that vCenter 8 is compatible with Prism (stand alone) ?When I talked to support last year they suggested holding off on upgrading vCenter. 

We received the Warning: Detected iSCSI discovery or login through cluster external IP address just today and is trying to make sense why we are seeing this Warning. Historically we had never this and has not made any changes to our Nutanix configurations. Combing through our events we can’t seem to figure out what may have triggered this. If anyone has received this before in the past and is a one off thing I would like to hear your experience on why this was triggered on your end. Is this something we should be overly concerned about?Any advice is greatly appreciated. I’m new to this community I apologize if I’m posting this in the wrong forum. Regards, Mike

I have a AHV host who crashed suddenly and does not want to start again 🙄.Like he is in a test environment i tried to remove it from the cluster with ncli command. Host remove-start id=0005f4c2-012c-5363-0000-000000019191::6 force=trueCommand failed because RF2 not permit to remove 1 of the 3 hosts cluster.I decided to reinstall this host with Foundation with new IP’s and new host name.Then, via Prism, i expanded the cluster with this new installed host.A new host appears to be added in cluster, but his status stays as “NEW”…I was hoping that by adding a new host to the cluster, I could then remove the one that crashed 🤔Why this new host stay in status “NEW”?Thanks for your help.

I do a AHV convert from VMWare to AHV recently on my 4-node Nutanix NX-1450. Unfortunately only 2 nodes are successfully converted, one node remained failed and retain as ESXi and the other node failed to download the bundle binary. I wanted to reprovision from scratch using Foundation (Bear Metal Deployment) Tools. I have the Foundation 5.5 however, when provision it cannoy connect to IPMI (Error attached)so I an suspecting it is not compatible. Any body can help on this. If you have the earlier version of Foundation Tools maybe can help me? 

RDP to guest vm’s running Windows Server 2022 are freezing a few seconds after connecting. Running latest VirtIO drivers 1.1.7. After rebooting the guest, RDP seems to work ok for an hour or so before freezing again. Guest memory utilization 48%, CPU 3-5% so no issue there.

I want to install prism central on my cluster, I started downloading the software from my prism element.For more than 48 hours the download is still in progress and I want to abort the download process and resume the installation but I don't see any button allowing me to do this.Can you give me the process to abort the central prism download please?

We have this HCI project that span in 4 different location data center with DR site in mind.Site 1400 VM + 10 PB Disk Site 2400 VM + 5PB Disk  Site 350 VM + 5PB DiskSite 4200 VM + 5PB DiskRF3 model VM and Disk capacity is based on 5 yr projected growth.VMs is between Large to XL type.We cannot come up with best DELL XC model for this setup is XC760 can accommodate this requirements?Any suggestions

Hi Teeam,can any one help me as soon as possible.I have a four node Nutanix cluster in my environment and there is space issue (not enough free space)in the nutanix cluster for that i did some exercise given below,1.some of the vms migrated to the another cluster successfully and there is no issuue with that. so after migrating vms to another cluster and i have deleted the vms in the affected nutanix cluster …. ok still i am unable to see the free space in my clusterHere my question is ..How much time it will take to reclaim the space/seen free space after deleting the vms in nutanix cluster Recycle Bin has been enabled by default in in the cluster and it stores some data so what about Recycle bin means need to disable after deleting the vms or what about it function to reclaim the space in the nutanix cluster.Please explain any one ASAP. Thanks,Ashok. 

Or, “How does the ‘Check Login’ step actually work?”I consistently get a TLS error on any attempt to connect to the new VM from CALM. Every time. This is a blocker for me, as I can’t do much to the VMs during provisioning without this connectivity, and I can’t/shouldn’t do everything in the cloud-init step.  I am able to ssh into the new VMs successfully using the same credentials, so I know that the credential is correct, but I don’t think the credential is the issue - the error is happening before the system tries to use it.
