Solved

Due to recurring discussions with customers, here again the question about the technical background. why can't I split Nutanix nodes in a cluster across 3 locations (these are less meters apart)? ESXi can do that, other virtualization solutions too (MS HV, PVE).I'm interested in a technical explanation, that it's not supported, I know, but why?In fact can we build stretched Clusters across Locations (No geolocations)? Thanks in advance

Am trying to create dashboard portal for our Monitoring Video wall. One page showing what’s going on Nutanix without logging in to the Prism Central infrastructure dashboard. Just like VMware Aria Operation works.

Hi All,Our nutanix 1175S-G9 is a 4-port 10G BaseT, initially connected to the  two portseth0, eth2,  later, I change  to eth0 and eth1, and then NCC check will show the message eth2 down. Is there any solution ?

I accidentally deleted a few good VMs while cleaning up after migration from VMware to Nutanix, couldn’t find a straightforward way to restore them from recycle Bin just Like on a normal Computer, So the easiest way to was to re-migrate the VMs needed. If only i could just go to cluster recycle bin and do the restoration would save a lot of time!!

What is the best way to rebuild a single node cluster to a 5 node cluster with all the VMs intact with minimal downtime?

I am trying to get the WInPE drivers so I can support our virtual device hosted on a Nutanix system.  However, every link directs me to the Nutanix support page where I have to activate my ID with a licence code or serial number.  I am the consumer of the system, I have none of these values, and my server team who might have these will not give me the codes.  What can I do to get the drivers I need so I can do my job and test our OSD processes with a Nutanix VM client?

Hi, Sorry if my english is poor, i’m trying to describe my problem as short as i can.Recently, we’ve bought new G9 NX appliance, and migrate all our production on it, that great. So now, we got 18 G5 NX node.I made 2 clusters of 9 nodes, no problems. My problems starts here :- With one of my collegues we want to try to create a bridge but without plug the ethThe test we want to do was successfull, and we were making somes XRay bench by the same time.-Finally we want to suppress this bridge and it’s now possible, i got a message were “Curie Scenario failed to revoke token.I’ve tried to follow KB7071 but nothing is solve. There is some jpg of my AOS & CVM I’ve even check if i can kill a queued or running task with ergon, but not finding it.Its impossible to put host in maintenance mode or doing a LCM by now. Please help me :)

I want to setup LACP balance SLB but in the KB it only shows balance TCP? How to Enable, Disable, and Verify LACP on AHV hosts (nutanix.com)

Which command can administrator can run to find the correct VLAN ID from the CVM?manage-ovs ovs-vscl

Hello guys,I am facing Index error while Nutanix CE setup installation in VMware workstation test LAB, Please suggest solution(index Error: list index out of range)Give below resources for Nutanix VM Memory 32Processor 8HDD 65 GB

HiI am trying to install the community edition on three nodes and on each one it keeps on getting stuck on this screen I have tried multiple times and wait over 30 minutes any ideas?

I have installed CE 2.0 on 3 Supermicro servers. AHV is up, and the CVM is running. The Genesis service is running on all 3 nodes. When I issue the command to create the cluster and use a comma separated list of IPs, I receive the following error (same error regardless of which CVM I run the command from):MainThread cluster:1001 Could not discover all nodes specified. Please make sure that the SVMs from which you wish to create the cluster are not already part of another cluster. Undiscovered ips : localhostThe localhost part is throwing me off. Any ideas? I can ping all the CVMs from all the other CVMs. I have restarted nodes, restarted genesis, and used the --skip_discovery with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,Today we have Set up a Windows file failover cluster.WE have configured a volume group with one vdisk for quorum and one volume group with two vdisks for data.Windows see the two disks in the second volume group seperately. WE have attached the volume groups directly to the Windows VM.Why is the volume group seen as seperate disks?Should it not be only one? Regards,Thomas

Hi,         I am doing 4 node AHV cluster decomission. I did all the steps and finally gave cluster destroy and ensure it was destroyed completely. I want to do factory reset of all the nodes where the hypervisor /cvm configurations like hostname, IP etc will we wiped out. Let me know the procedure on this. Thanks.

Hi experts,I'm currently facing an issue with one of the nodes in my cluster. Recently, I noticed that a node was marked as "detached from the metadata store" in Prism, and one of its disks is also listed as detached. Prism shows the disk as "Ready to be added," but I'm unsure if the disk is healthy or needs replacement. When attempting to SSH into the affected CVM to verify the disk's status, I found that I'm unable to access the CVM via SSH, although I can still ping it. The other CVMs in the cluster are responding normally. I tried SSHing into the problematic CVM from another CVM in the cluster, but I received a message saying it's unable to connect. The cluster is running on an ESXi hypervisor. I also attempted to open the CVM from the Vcenter console, but nothing is displayed, the CVM doesn’t respond.Has anyone experienced a similar issue or has any advice on troubleshooting this problem? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

Is there a centralized document that discusses where logs should be for specific  processes through the cluster or is it broken down into each applications documentation?i.e. - I’m installing Prism Central and I want to watch the logging progress for the process that is running. One way I learn is to watch logs and see what the system is doing to try and understand flows but I can’t seem to figure out where exactly to look. Thanks
