Hi,Title was of course 2402/2430, not 2404/2430 🙃Having an issue in my home lab… The issue at handI had Nutanix CE2 running on this machine for more than a month. However, due to odd crashes and false positives with disconnect issues on the vs0 configuration (I guess), I figured I would attempt a complete reinstall, having used DP to backup all VMs to another Nutanix CE2 setup. I believe I made a configuration error at some point.However, re-installing with all the exact same devices and settings, I’m faced with this:InstallerVM timeout occurred, current retry 0Please take a look at installer_vm_*.log inside foundation logs to debug hypervisor installation issuesAfter which it will restart the process.I’ve found somewhere near 2 other examples of this, stopping at the same progress [2402/2430], but I can’t figure out the solution.Maybe someone can tell me how to actually find that installer_vm_*.log, as I couldn’t find it anywhere. The SetupMotherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VHDCPU: AMD Ryzen

Hi,I upgraded Calm vm from 3.7.2.1 to 3.7.2.2 but now I read from release notes of calm vm 3.8 that isn’t possible to upgrade from 3.7.2.2 to 3.8.How can I safetely remove calm vm 3.7.2.2 and reinstall the version 3.8?Thanks Regards

How to identify which NIC 1 NIC 2 etc or eth0 eth1 eth3 and eth4 on physical side. in my case, i want to configure the network active-backup and how to identify which port is eth1 or eth2 either on physical view or prism element dashboard  thank you 

I need to migrate a FSVM file server cluster from my older Nutanix cluster to a new cluster. It sounds like there are several options for migrating my file shares that I have listed below. Have you done any of the options below and what would you recommend? 1) Protection domains (Entire FSVM cluster, moves IPs)2) Smart DR (Per Share, moves IPs and updates DNS)3) MOVE > (Per Share, new DNS, and manually update file share configs)  4) Something else? Any insights or experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi AllI have recently inherited an old (el7.nutanix.20201105.30281 is the version maybe?) 4-node Nutanix cluster and very soon after first looking at it and raising myself some tasks it has decided to stop working! I do not have support (turns out that expired a couple of months ago) and while I do intend to resolve that situation I just need to get the thing back online ASAP as it runs some critical servicesThe initial problem was caused by one of the nodes running out of inodes on the root disk. I cleared this down (it was just a LOT of emails in the spool) but the prism console was not available afterwards. Hi,I used calm vm 3.7.2.2, it worked fine for a couple of days but now I receive error when deploy a blueprint and also when I tried to delete or soft delete the existing one.Nothing logged.  

I posted last year about moving PC from a non-nutanix cluster running ESX to a nutanix cluster running ESX but we didn’t do the work at the time.  Now the goalposts have moved a little, or will be and I think things will be a little bit more complicated!So to recap;currently PC (pc.2022.6.0.9) runs on a non-nutanix cluster ESX 7.xwe have 2 nutanix clusters running ESX 7.xwe will be purchasing a new cluster which we intend to run AHV onwe will then migrate all the VM’s from the two nutanix esx clusters to the new AHV clusterwe will possibly also be migrating our native Azure VM’s to Nutanix NC2 in Azure.  We want to move our current PC to the new AHV cluster once its purchased. So the question is how? I was thinking of using MOVE. AIso note we AREN'T running microservices on our PC 

Morning All, I’ve just commissioned a new cluster using AOS 6.8.0.1 in an air-gapped environment. Prism Element and Prism Central only shows storage in “physical” capacity and usage etc. I’d ideally like the logical view available also, anyone seen this before, is there an easy fix? Thanks in advance

Tried getting there from “Files” link in main demo.nutanix.com portal, or from the “Files Console” link underneath Files.  This doesn’t affect Files Analytics or Data Lens, except any links that take you to the Files Console will prompt.The admin creds provided don't work.

I have just completed the initial deployment for the Nutanix-CE on a Single Node. Upon running cluster status command i see several services are down. Hello folks,There is a requirement to configure Oracle RAC in a Nutanix environment.The hypervisor will be used with AHV, and license it plan to use is NCI Starter.It appears to be possible to implement this by using the Nutanix Volumes functionality to reference the Shared Disk as an iSCS target to the internal Guest OS.In the past, there was no cost for internal use with Nutanix Volumes, but now with the new license format, will an additional NUS license be required? I have expanded the existing block by adding two 1065-G8 nodes, each equipped with three HDDs and two SSDs. However, the new nodes, along with the HDDs and SSDs, are not being recognized, and there appears to be no power supplied to them. I am currently seeking Nutanix documentation on hardware installation but have not found relevant information yet. any idea?

Hello team,Always in learning Nutanix that’s totally new for me, I performed some tests today. One of those was to remove a disk to check if system will still be up. And… no :)All the CVM is crashed because it don’t find the removed disk.I have a Nutanix CE with a single node cluster. Is Nutanix storage pool not working as a RAID (1 or 5?) by default? Is there something to configure? Coming from VMWare, I make the comparison. On my ESXi I can lost one disk as I’m protected by the RAID-5 of the Raid-controller. Should I also use a RAID-5 for Nutanix? I read that disk must be in RAID-0 and Nutanix will protect it. How protect my single node cluster from a single disk failure?I certainly misunderstand or misconfigure something. Thanks for you help ! PS: The disk I removed was not one of those declared for the CVM during the installation, it’s a “Data” disk.

Hi again.So i did my fresh installation, and at long last the password worked.Now, i can access the https://ip-of-cvm:9440, but only using “Internet Explorer”Any other browser will say something like this:“IP” usually uses encryption to protect your information. This time when Microsoft Edge tried to connect to “IP“, the site returned unusual and incorrect credentials. This can happen when a hacker tries to impersonate “IP” or a Wi-Fi login screen has disconnected. Your information is still safe because Microsoft Edge disconnected before any data was exchanged.You can't visit “IP” right now because the site has sent encrypted credentials that Microsoft Edge can't process. Network failures and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work again later. And using “Internet Explorer” it seems like a lot of virual elements arent displayed correctly.

Hello,I am desperate, I have 2 disks and the USB stick with the ISo on my server.If I now want to install Nutranix, I get to the disk selection, but even if I assign the disks to the respective letters, only Phoenix ISO is still mounted at the endThen the install aborts and I can go back to the disk selection.If I enter H,C, or D, the system says either I need SSD's, or I must have 2 disks, which I have.Do I need ESXI on the server, not really if I use the AHV version?
