The nutanix AHV python SDKs are pinned to an old and vulnerable version of certifi which introduces cve-2024-39689 into integrations that leverages this.I previously wrote up a very detailed post on this but it was deleted with no explanation. Howdy,Do you have any details on when the next NCM-MCI exam will be available?  It is still on 6.5.  I have the NCP and would like to go for the NCM, but since it was released in 2022 I figured a new version should be out soon?Thanks

Hello.The LCM UI page does not open like the image below.Recent work statusAOS 5.20 versionNX-1075-G8Proceed with LCM Update OperationIt was confirmed as the version below LCM 2.5, and we updated it to local dark site VM with LCM 3.1-H.After the normal update, the update to the latest LCM version LCM 3.2 was completed using the Directupload function of the activated LCM.After completing the job, the LCM page was fine and the job was finished.The next day, the LCM page appeared empty on the Prism page.Other Home or other tabs are fine.I tried to take action with KB-14940 but there was no change.I need help with what I can do in this situation.For your information, the PC is not configured.

I noticed that Nutanix REST API v3 offer ability to interact with Nutanix Projects. The same features seem not to be available using the new API v4 so far. Will this come in the future? Is there a roadmap with all the features that will be coming in API v4?

We have a 6-node Nutanix cluster on VMware ESXi spread across two racks. Each rack has a ToR switch, and both ToRs are in an IRF stack. We just got our first 3 node Nutanix cluster (using AHV)  a couple months ago so we’re very new. I have been unable to use the Nutanix Portal setting within LCM to perform updates so I used the Dark Site option. Plus I have warnings about LDAPS but I am unable to use that setting. Both issue I think are cert related. I replaced the self signed certs in Prism Element & Prism Central following a couple Nutanix KB’s.Do I also need to replace certs on the individual CVM’s? The Nutanix documents & KB’s don’t explicitly mention anything about certs on the CVM’s but at the same time there have been a couple documents that say not to put certs on the CVM’s because future updates could remove them. 

HI Team, Recently I have installed Nutanix CE on Dell Power Edge R430. I am facing issue while trying to create network configs for creation of VMs. My lab network is shown below,I have interfaces from eth0 - eth7. eth4 is connected to Network 10.146.20.0/24, I would like to configure the same in Nutanix, so that the VMs that I create fall under the same subnet. I tried creating subnet and booted an Linux instance to check the reachability. I am unable to reach GW from that linux.  I reached out to my lab team, and they suggested to have eth4 alone in a bond. To do that, I tried to assign eth4 to vs0 alone but unable to do it. Could you please let me know what are the series of steps that need to be followed so that I could successfully create VMs.  Thanks,

Hello,What is the best practice to migrate a VM with 60 TB using RDM from esxi to AHV? Is it possible to map the RDM to Nutanix Cluster or to convert the RDM?

I want to reserver as mentioned below for a Linux VM running on AHV 10 and AOS 7.3. CPU: 4 vCPUs with a 10,000 MHz reservation Memory: 10 GB with a 10 GB reservation Disk: 1 x 110 GB with thick provisioning If these reservations exist, how can they be configured? I couldn’t find any information in PE/PC. It also seems that this feature was available up to AOS 6.8 but not in AOS 7.x versions.Let me know if there are any workarounds as well.

Hello, I’m new to Nutanix and setting up DR for VMs on vSphere ESXi.While failover from primary to DR site is straight-forward, I was wondering on the amount of time for failback. Normally, when failback is initiated, it will replicate changed blocks from DR site to primary site.And this may take a while depending on the changes occurred while at DR. Is it possible to do reverse replication while still at DR? This way, when failback is initiated, only the few remaining changed blocks need to be replicated - shortening the failback time.Thanks for your comments

HeyI have a 4 node lab with some version. I want to upgrade to the latest version (7.3 right now). my hardware support it. But, instead upgrading, I want clean install (for my reasons).When I using foundation, it won’t discovering my nodes (since they are used).What should I do to make them to be discovered? Thanks.

I have to replace a 3 nodes G5 Nutanix cluster running with vSphere 7 Essentials Plus Edition (limited by design at 3 nodes only) by 3 new nodes.My first idea was to expand existing cluster with new nodes then removed old nodes one by one.But like the vSphere Essential Plus edition is limited to 3 ESXi hosts only i can not add prepared new nodes to my vCenter.🙄 What is the best method in my case to migrate to the new 3 nodes ? Thanks for your advises.Nicolas

HeyIn Calm (Script that I have in old lab, AOS v6.5) My script (part in blueprint) use REST API and ip is used as localhost: Now, In self-Service not accepted localhost (security reasoning).In Self-Service Administration and Operations Guide I see some script that use @@{pc_ip}@@ but this is not real variable.Is there any alternative to get the Prism Central IP and use it in my script? since I use the same script in many PC, It not good practice to hard coded the IP..alternatively: is there a way to get the cluster list (instead use API)? Thanks

 phoenix-ce2.0-fraser-6.5.2-stable-fnd-5.3.4-x86_64.isoを用いて物理環境４ノードに対してインストールをし、特にエラーメッセージ等は無くAHVとCVMが起動した事を確認しました。各CVMから下記を確認しました。１：$genesis status　を実行し、foundationとgenesisのサービスが起動している２：各CVMへ疎通確認し、疎通できることCVM1台目から下記コマンドを実行しました。$cluster -s x.x.x.a,x.x.x.b,x.x.x.c,x.x.x.d create終わらないメッセージ（CVM IPは伏せています）5/16（金）から実行して未だに上記メッセージが出力され続けています。どうすればクラスター作成が完了しますでしょうか？（またはエラー等で中断されますでしょうか？）下記対応した点・タグVLANの環境で構築しているため、ISOインストール後下記コマンドをAHV上で実施　ovs-vsctl set port br0 tag=****・タグVLANの環境で構築しているため、ISOインストール後下記コマンドをCVM上で実施　change_cvm_vlan ****・時刻同期がずれていたため、IPMI側でNTP時刻同期を行いISOインストール後　各CVM間で時刻がずれて居ない事を確認​​​何か良い情報があれば幸いです。

We are new to Nutanix coming over from vSphere and are experiencing the same issues that is discussed but not resolved on this thread:https://next.nutanix.com/ahv-virtualization-27/packer-press-any-key-to-boot-from-cd-dvd-issue-43213We are using Packer to build a Window 2022 image.  We have customised the ISO to remove the "Press any key to boot..." prompt.  However, we are now in a situation where Packer/AHV doesn't allow us to specify a boot order so the CD is constantly booting, installing and rebooting.We can continue the Packer build if we manually dismount the CD, however, we want to be in a position where this is a hands off build and orchestrated by a pipeline like our vSphere builds are.Has anyone managed to get around this?  

I have several asynchronous protection policies configured between two Nutanix clusters each with their respective Prism Central, one primary and one DR. I am going to perform the upgrade of the clusters sequentially on different days and I don't see any reference in the documentation as to whether it is necessary for replication during the upgrade due to version difference or possible outages. I understand that it is not necessary, but I would like to know if there is any good practice as I don't see anything in the documentation. Thanks

We recently acquired four new Lenovo HX630 V3 CN servers to deploy the latest Nutanix AHV and AOS. Our plan is to set these up on four AHVs and the latest Prism Central. According to the compatibility matrix, this configuration should be supported.I downloaded the latest AHV (AHV-DVD-x86_64-10.0.1-219) from the Nutanix portal and created a bootable USB. However, I encountered an error when attempting to boot into the Nutanix installation process.I understand that I need to use Foundation, but my servers are new and don’t have DiscoveryOS or something similar that would allow me to discover them with Foundation tools. Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?

Currently I building the following versions: AHV ver,10.0.1  AOS ver,7.0.1DNS is configured on the CVM but it seems that the DNS settings are not synced on the AHV.I confirmed that the DNS settings were entered from Prism Element as well.Re-entering the DNS values ​​did not fix the issue.If anyone knows the solution, please tell me
