We attempted the following approaches to enable nested virtualization, but it still did not work.Approach 1:a. Created the VM and enabled cpu_passthrough=true before powering it on.Observation: We were able to log in to Windows.b. Enabled the Hyper-V feature inside the VM and restarted.Observation: The system failed to log in and entered Recovery mode.Approach 2:a. Created the VM and enabled hardware_virtualization=true before powering it on.Observation: We were able to log in to Windows.b. Enabled the Hyper-V feature inside the VM and restarted.Observation: We could log in, but the nested virtualization feature was disabled.Please advise on how to enable nested virtualization in CE 2.1

I am a newbie to Nutanix and after successfully installing CE 2.1 on generic PCs and would like to go beyond CE and want to get into the commercial product just to get acquainted in my home lab. Bought an used NX-1175s-G7 with only the original 240GB NVME stick on the motherboard but no SSDs and HDDs and memory. Installed on hand 64GB memory and tried with some drives but the installation is failing always at this point. If someone has the exact model, I appreciate if you give me the above requested make and model part numbers. There are the last few lines of the installer. I am following this guide: https://www.jeroentielen.nl/installing-nutanix-community-edition-ce-on-vmware-esxi-vsphere/ I am getting this error message:  Operation failed: NoHostResources: No host is schedulable: 14There is no insight in the entire system to say why the host is not schedulable.I have allocated 100GB Memory, 16 cpu cores and 2.5TB of storage To CE 2.1.  All health checks are green.VM i’m trying to run is Linux based, 2GB memory 128GB storage without any networking.I’ve started and stopped the cluster. Entered and Exited Maintenance Mode. The system is a Dell R720 with E5 2667 V2 processors running ESXI 7.0U3o I am at a loss for why this system won’t run a basic linux VM. Any ideas would be appreciated.

We try to activate our nvidia card in an ce 2.1, but we can not see the AHV option in the Download page.We I try to acces it directly with https://portal.nutanix.com/page/downloads?product=ahv there is always a popup asking for “Activation required”.As I only run the community edition I do not have any of the requested information (Serial Number or Service Tag or Software Registration ID).Is there still a way to get the drivers.

I am trying to list storage containers using prism element V2 API.I want to fetch only required attributes in the response. How can use filter_criteria, search_string and search_attribute_list effectively. Let’s say I want list containers having UUID’s (2 or more). i am not finding details on how to use these. Please share doc link if any.

This task should be executed once per deployment, but since it is a post-VM-creation task, it is executed n times for n deployed machines from the blueprint.Do you have any ideas how to make the the task execute only once after the deployment of the application, and not multiple times for every VM?Thanks in advance!

Hi all Nutanix experts, we're scheduled to migrate our infrastructure from VMware to Nutanix in two weeks. We're going to set up two Nutanix clusters (Production and DR) with full replication.We use a virtual Windows Server 2022 as our current domain controller. We also have a backup domain controller (virtual server). According to some of the Nutanix documentation, migrating the domain controller using Move could cause issues. Has any of you had a similar situation? If I don't want to set up a domain controller on a physical server, what's the solution for this issue?

Dear Folks,I am planning to proceed with the foundation imaging of our Nutanix NX-8170-G9 nodes using a standalone 1GbE switch (small 6 port) . For the initial setup, I will connect the BMC port and the AIOM port (for CVM traffic) to this switch and it will configure Active/Backup.Each node is equipped with two 10GbE LC fibre ports, currently intended for CVM and VM traffic via LACP bonding. My question is:Post-foundation, how can I transition from the temporary 1GbE Active/Backup setup to the intended LACP configuration on the 10GbE interfaces?Is it possible to perform this change via the Prism Element GUI, Or is it necessary to access the CLI through the IPMI console? Hello Nutanix Community, I have customer who is planning to upgrade AOS 6.5 to AOS 7.3 with PC 2022.9 running on Hyper-V 2022 from our Nutanix Cluster. They cannot upgrade to PC 2024.2 or higher (PC 7.3) due to Hyper-V 2022 is not supported on this latest PC versions. Customer is asking if they can upgrade AOS 7.3 only? And still manage the cluster via PC 2022.9?May I know If there is any performance, support, licensing, and operational impact If customer continues on AOS 7.3 w/ PC2022.9? I understand that PC2022.9 is already EOSL and our SRE may not able to assist if running on EOSL version.I did check AOS 7.3 to PC version compatibility unfortunately it doesn’t show PC2022.9.  Note that customer is not ready to move yet to AHV due to internal application dependencies and business directions. They are also not using the Prism Central except for managing the NCI Pro license. Looking forward for your helpful response. Thanks and regards,OJ

Hello Community!! We have a cluster that was powered off for a couple days. Since bringing the cluster back online we are now seeing a couple errors and I was not able to find much documentation as how to proceed. We are on AHV and AOS 6.10 The errrors are:<Node> flow_service_logs-acropolis : ERROR schduler.py:1579 IDF CVM entry is none for node <node id><node> flow_Service_logs-acropolis : ERROR pithos_client.py:1070 <node id> Update RPC encountered error : 4 Appreciate any help on investigating this further or clearing this. Josh

I’m setting up my DR site, will be using asynchronous/near-sync replication with Protection Policies in Prism Central (NOT Protection Domain) I don’t want to completely drown my WAN link in replication traffic during the initial VM seeding. Is there any way of throttling or controlling the replication traffic?

I have replication configured from one Nutanix object bucket to another Nutanix object bucket and it is always stuck at 3. As data is added to the source bucket I can see it replicates, but the 3 objects never seem to clear. This leads to RTO and RPO warnings daily. Is there a resolution to this?
