Hi all , Now i am deploying a new nutanix cluster with 10 all flash nodes and each node has 4 ssd disks so during my search in nutanix docs i noticed that nutanix marked up to 4 ssd disks in each node as a metadata disk so in my case it can sign at least 1 ssd disk for metadata and this disk can not be used for regular VMs Data  my question is  one of four ssd disks will be marked as a metadata disk and cannot be used for regular VMs Data ?

Hi Nutanix,I have passed all Nutanix Professional Certification exams 6.10 (NCA 6.10, NCP-MCI 6.10, NCP-CI-Azure 6.7, NCP-CI-AWS 6.7, NCP-US 6.10, NCP-DB 6.10, NCP-CN 6.10,NCP-AI 6.10, NCP-MCA 6.10, NCP-EUC 6.10) in 2025 with relatively high scores.In 2026, I plan to continue with the NCM-MCI 6.10 exam.I would like to ask whether Nutanix has any incentive or customer voucher programs for candidates who have passed all NCP-level certifications.Thank you.

Is it possible to use this appliance to test the REST API performance of a 3RD party array?We would like to bombard the array with a lot of GET PUT calls and test its performance using XRAY.

Earlier, we tried deploying Prism Central on our newly rebuilt cluster. This isn’t a new Nutanix model—it’s an older one. I wanted to get your insight regarding an error we encountered during the deployment of the instance. We uploaded the tar and metadata, but the deployment consistently stalls at 91%. Previously, deploying through Prism Central was straightforward, so I’m not sure why we can’t access the GUI now.The VM appears to deploy successfully, and I can SSH into it. All services are running fine, NTP is working, but our newly rebuilt DNS might be a major factor in this issue—I’m not entirely sure if this is causing the problem. I forgot to take a screenshot, but the failure showed an “MT timeouts during deployment” or something similar.

Hi All, Good day to you.Recently, I’ve encountered an issue of unable to image the nodes with Foundation for Windows. Only one of the nodes was completed and the rest 2 nodes failed with fatal: waiting for installer to boot up. Can someone suggest me how to solve this issue? AOS: 6.10.1.7AHV: el8.nutanix.20230302.103032 P.S all node have the same hardware specification but the successful node have different BIOS version. Thanks,

Hi everyone,I’m trying to download the latest version of Nutanix Community Edition (CE), specifically v7.1 or newer (ideally matching AOS 7.3). However, I can only find the download link for CE v6.8.1 on the official portal.Does Nutanix still offer CE versions aligned with AOS 7.x (e.g., 7.1, 7.2, or 7.3)? HI!Microsoft certificates for Secure Boot expire in June 2026Will AHV, CVM, and VM legacy boot continue to function properly after the certificate expires?Secure Boot expiration will only affect guest VMs using UEFI? 

Hi,I am using 3xhpe dx 320 Gen 11 want to create 3 Node cluster. After using Foundational tool to create cluster , first it doesnt discover the nodes so have added the nodes manually when i start to create cluster it throws different errors. Connected to switch with LACP and port channel active. It is fresh intallation (Hardware pre installed by nutanix).​@Jeroen Tielen 

Hi. I having a terrible time trying to deploy X-ray in vCenter. It just sits and says updating forever. Attached screen shot. Some questions.X-ray has 2 nics apparently, the second one being labled NODCHP, which is good as we do not have dhcp on the test network we will be doing on. As for the mgt nic/ip, does it need internet access to get anything? The nutanix ports page do not say it does, yet the documetnation states how to add a proxy. I have tried with and without a proxy and it just will just hang on that updating page for days. Can someone point me in a direction to look at? Thank you!

Hello,First post here!I previously developed an automation flow using the Nutanix V3 API that interacts with Prism Central and orchestrates the "Test Failover", "Failover" and "Clean Up" DR Actions for a specified list of Virtual Machines.For the V3 API version, I utilised both the "recovery_plans" and "recovery_plan_jobs" API endpoints.These do not appear to be present within the V4 API (not that I can find in the various V4 API documentation).Are there plans to add these and if so, are there any timescales for when these will be added?Thanks.Regards,Paul 

I create a 3 node cluster on top of ESXi for lab. assign 3 nic in each node. After cluster build  by default 4 nic attach with switch vs0. When i remove 2 nic from the vs0, it automatically hypervisor rolling restart.  How can i remove 2 nic form vs0. I tried from cli but result same.  

I have downloaded the NutanixCli from Prism Central. Instead of using the shortcut desktop app I would like to use with VSCode. Has anyone been able to use it that way? What steps do you have to do to make it work?

I’m trying to enable File Analytics for my Files instance, but I keep getting the error: “Can’t connect to provided domain” when attempting domain join.Here’s my setup and what I’ve verified so far:Environment: AD server, Files server, and File Analytics server are all deployed within the same cluster. Files Configuration: SMB authentication is enabled under Authentication. Administrator account is configured under Manage Roles. Connectivity Checks: From the File Analytics console, I can successfully ping the AD server and perform nslookup for name resolution. Despite these checks, enabling File Analytics for Files still fails with the domain connection error. I’m running out of ideas at this point.Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Are there specific settings or configurations I should double-check? Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.
