Hey All,Just wanted to share a quick update on a powerful new capability with Nutanix Data Lens (SaaS): User Behavior Analytics (UBA) based Anomaly Detection.Until now, Nutanix Files Storage anomaly detection primarily relied on static thresholds. While effective, thresholds can sometimes lead to noise, and require tuning, if certain users naturally perform high volumes of operations. With UBA, Data Lens now intelligently establishes a baseline for each individual user's normal behavior across your shares. Here are a few quick details on how it works:After configuring a deviation-based policy, it will use a 30-day warmup period to learn the baseline behavior for users based on their operation types (creates, reads, deletes, etc.) per share. Once the baseline is established, anomalies are triggered based on a meaningful deviation from that specific user's norm, rather than a hardcoded number. You can configure deviation percentage and minimum thresholds to tune sensitivity. You still have
Nutanix Data Lens is now available as an on-premises solution, complementing our existing SaaS-based offering. With this we thought it a good idea to start a new forum here on the community site. If you’re an existing File Analytics user, a Data Lens customer, or are evaluating Data Lens today, this forum is for you. In case you’re not familiar, Nutanix Data Lens provides global visibility, analytics, and security for unstructured data on Nutanix Unified Storage, and Amazon S3. It offers ransomware resilience, audit trails, permissions visibility, and data lifecycle management by identifying threats, monitoring user behavior, and optimizing storage through insights into data age and access patterns, all from a single console. It delivers proactive security by detecting anomalies with signature-based and behavioral algorithms, integrates with SIEM/messaging tools like CrowdStrike Falcon® Next-Gen SIEM, and helps manage data growth for cost savings and better governanceFor many organizat
