HiI’m trying to deploy Nutanix Files from a brand new cluster using Prism Element:  … but I got this error: The cluster has access to internet, I’ve loged in to a CVM and I’ve done pings to google without issues. So I assume connectivity to nutanix should not be a problem...  am I doing something wrong? Also why I just see the 5.2.1 as the available compatible versions? My AOS is 7.5.1.1 and compatibility matrix shows it is compatible with Files last release 5.3.0.1 Finaly, in case I need to upload the Files bundle manualy (like if it was a dark side), which should be the correct way to do it? I assume I have to download the LCM bundle from nutanix portal and upload it to the PE LCM... Is that correct?Thanks

Hi Colleagues,Recently, I’ve don AOS & AHV version upgrade for PE cluster (8 CVMs) which is hosted PC cluster with 3 PCVMs from AOS 6.10.1.7 to 7.3.1.2. PC version is 7.3.1.1.After upgrade, there is an issue of HTTP 420 code is happening and cannot proceed with VM migration cross clusters.Does anyone have the idea or experiences with this? Thanks.

I'm trying to deploy Prism Central (PC) from Prism Element (PE). Previously, I had registered a PC to the cluster and then unregistered it to redeploy a new one.However, during the new deployment, at the “Size and Scale” step, no selectable options (Small/Medium/Large) are shown — only the description text appears.Current situation:No dropdown or selectable options available No explicit error message Cluster is running normallyI'm not sure if this issue is related to the previous register/unregister of PC, or due to resource constraints, version mismatch, or a UI issue.Has anyone experienced this after unregistering PC? Is there any cleanup required on the cluster before redeploying Prism Central?

Hi,Im working on a project where we need to deploy a new Nutanix Files instance on a new AHV cluster.The customer already has an existing Nutanix Files deployment running on an older AHV cluster that will be destroyed as soon as it is migrated. Also as part of the project we will have to migrate the existing shares and data from the old Files environment to the new one (as well as from other FS not related with nutanix files).I would like to clarify two main points:1. Deployment method: Prism Central vs Prism ElementFor a new Nutanix Files deployment, is it currently recommended to deploy and manage the File Server from Prism Central / Files Manager, or is it still preferable in some cases to deploy it directly from Prism Element?My understanding is that Prism Central / Files Manager is the more modern and centralized approach, especially when managing multiple clusters or using newer Files features, but this scenario means we have only one prism central and one cluster so I would like

Hi Experts !We recently upgraded one of our Nutanix clusters to AOS 6.8.1.8 and started facing an issue with the Cerebro service shortly after.Symptoms observed:Remote replication alerts after the upgrade.Remote site configuration warning indicating that some CVM/SVM IPs were not properly configured on the peer site.Cerebro entering a crash loop?cluster status showing constantly changing/high PIDs for Cerebro.cerebro.FATAL reporting an error similar to: Check failed: citer != (pd.second)->snapshot_uuid_map().end() with a snapshot stuck in a pending action.It looks like there is a stale or orphaned snapshot operation in the WAL / metadata, likely triggered after the upgrade while replication configuration was not fully consistent.Has anyone already seen this behavior after an AOS upgrade?Did you resolve it by fixing the remote site configuration only, or did it require Nutanix Support intervention to skip/clean the offending WAL operation?Thanks :)

Hi all,I am sizing environments and really like to also add the correct licensing to the scenario and export the BOM to request this at the distribution. Unfortunately I have had it now the second time over the last months that licensing was not included correctly.This time I have a scenario with 10 VMs, 5TiB Objects and wanted NCI Edge Pro, NCM Edge Starter and 5 TiB NUS Pro with Adv. Replication. The BOM exported is listing the NCI-E Pro but in addition also Core based licensing. The 5 TiB NUS are missing also the Adv. Replication in the Excel and PDF BOM export.Anybody else with same findings or any thoughts on this?Sebastian
