Hi, im new hereI successfully installed a nested CE 2.1 and PC x-small. In doing so, I discovered that the cool features are only available with PC Small and higher. Is there an easy way to upgrade from x-Small to Small without uninstalling/re-registering everything?Kind reagrdsAndreas

I have a 3 node cluster running 7.3.1 and while updating LCM complained that it cannot update NICs but I need to do manually listing KB-10634. I downloaded the x722 0x800042eb update file, executed and failed at the last minute and after the update both NICs are disappeared. I spoke with Supermicro and they are not willing to do anything because the motherboard serial is more than 5 years old and OOW. But one of the Tech advised me to program this chip (AT45DB041E-SSHN) with the 722M4B.bin file at my own risk and discretion, which I did, but nothing changed. nvmupdate64e just cannot see/find these two NICs.So what I tried next was to copy the above chip content from the second good known server and programmed the corrupted chip, but still nothing changed. The good new is that I can still install and use the latest AOS with a PCIE add on X550 card and the server works fine.But, I still would like to get those 2 x722 onboard NICs back and I really appreciate your help regarding this and

I have purchased a PowerEdge R7615 with some of the additional things in it. I have purchased that hardware to install Nutanix Foundation. Below are the list of hardware which I have.Processor - AMD EPYC 9124 3.0GHz, 16C/32T, 64M Cache (200W) DDR5-4800 - 1 QTYMemory Capacity  - 32GB RDIMM, 5600MT/s, Dual Rank  - 2 QTYRAID/Internal Storage Controllers - PERC H755 Adapter, Low Profile - 1 QTY SSD - 800GB SSD SAS ISE, Mixed Use, up to 24Gbps 512e 2.5in with 3.5in HYB CARR, AG Drive - 1Hard Drives - 1.2TB Hard Drive SAS ISE 12Gbps 10k 512n 2.5in with 3.5in HYB CARR - 2 QTYEmbedded Systems Management - iDRAC9, Enterprise 16G - 1 QTY. I have missing hardware, and I believe that Nutanix works with additional hardware,  HBA355i Storage Controller, instead of RAID Controller and It also requires BOSS-CONTROLLER 480 GB. I will upgrade the hardware with these material. I have doubt on the SSD part, will 1 X 800 GB SSD and 2 X 1.2 TB HDD, allows me to install Nutanix Foundation,.

I would like to attempt PCIe passthrough of a QLogic 2662 Fiber HBA to my Windows Server 2025 Nutanix Virtual Machine so that the device shows up in device manager, but I am unable to find clear documentation on PCIe passthrough.

HiI've deployed a Nutanix Cluster AHV in a dark site. Im having the issue exactly described here:https://next.nutanix.com/installation-configuration-23/prism-central-stuck-at-76-vm-is-not-reachable-42437?tid=42437&fid=23 But the topic was closed without any solution so I have to search for it… In summary:After deploying the cluster I tried to deploy the Prism Central with no luck, it got stucked at 76%... AOS 7.3.1 + PC 7.3.1 The PC VM intially startas and answer by ping, however it is automaticaly restarted during the config process and it loses the net config so it gets unaccesible by lan When checking the Prism Element tasks, I see the Application Deployment task stuck atl 76 %. If I open the PC VM console to check its status I can see that it stuck on the OS boot and I can see several services such as auditd, ntpd, rsyslog, rc.localhowever it doesnt show the login prompt. If I manualy boot the VM it boots normaly (it shows the login prompt), but there is no lan configur

I am trying to install ubuntu 24.04 and Almalinux 8.10 . in Both case console show “Press F2 to EFI Boot manager”. I tried to press F2 but not success. I am set UEFI boot. Help me Please. 

Hello Nutanix community,I'm working on a cluster refresh project and need some confirmation on a compatibility issue related to API changes in AOS 7.3. The Details  Source Cluster (Old): AOS 6.5.6.1 (PE-Only, older G6 hardware, EOL soon). Target Cluster (New): AOS 7.3.1 (New hardware, registered to Prism Central 7.3.1). Migration Method: Nutanix Move (recommended tool). Goal: Migrate all VMs from the old cluster to the new one and retire the old hardware.  The Specific Concern: KB-19356 I found Nutanix KB-19356 which states that the V3 VMs PUT API is deprecated at the Prism Element (PE) level in AOS 7.3, which impacts Nutanix Move's ability to apply post-migration features like NGT, CPU Passthrough, etc., when PE is used as the target.My KB-19356 Summary:"The V3 VMs PUT API is deprecated on PE in AOS 7.3. Looks like there is no ready-to-use image available for NKP 2.16 in the Downloads. For NKP Starter users, what is the update process now if we want to move from 2.15 to 2.16?Documentation does not have any information on the concrete steps, some references are to using the NKP Image builder but even that is unclear. 

I’ve deployed Nutanix Files using Prism Central, but I can’t figure out how to properly shut down the File Server.When I deployed Files via Prism Element before, I could SSH into the CVM and run afs infra.stop to stop it, but that doesn’t seem to work here.Also, when I check the file server list from Prism Element, nothing appears—so I’m wondering if the CVM doesn’t recognize it as a File Server in this setup.I searched for information but couldn’t find any clear instructions for shutting down Files from Prism Central.If anyone knows the correct method or best practice, please share.Environment:Prism Central: 2024.3.1.2 AOS: 7.0.1.5 FSM: 5.2

I am trying to create windows 11 on AOS 6.5.1 with AHV 20230302.101026 but failing with this error.  

We are currently running NKE and are looking to move to NKP but have a doubt about the subnet requirements.NKE is currently running with multiple Kubernetes Clusters in a single Subnet. Is it supported and valid to continue in this way with NKP? Ideally, we would like to build the NKP clusters in the same subnet as NKE for the migration work rather than commission a new subnet. The subnet is suitably large, and we use Calico CNI for Networking.

When I ran Perform Inventory it created "LCM root task has been created" and it got stuck at 0%. When I checked I saw that there was a NCC alert for idf db to db sync, which was resolved by following KB-5582 and KB-13381. But the task is still at 0%.
