Hello Masters, Today I have this alert: System Non-Root Partitions Space Usage HighI read this KB https://next.nutanix.com/installation-configuration-23/cvm-non-root-partitions-space-usage-high-clear-space-safetly-33597and check my filesystem and all files inside of this directories are ok (small sizes):/home/nutanix/data/cores/ /home/nutanix/data/binary_logs/ /home/nutanix/data/ncc/installer/ /home/nutanix/data/log_collector/My problem look to be at the file  “/home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log”. It has actually this size (14 and 6 GB): $ allssh du -h ~/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log================== 192.168.150.92 =================5.7G /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log================== 192.168.150.94 =================14G /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log================== 192.168.150.96 =================238M /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.logthe file don’t show error, only INFO. It safe to delete it ?? can I delete it using “rm /home/n

Hello all,05 months ago, I faced from some difficulties to perform P2V to AHV for UeFi servers : I performed P2V using VMware Converter to migrate to an ESXi server; and after I used “move” to migrate to AHV. While booting the VM, I saw a black screen and nothing else appeared on the screen.As I said above, it happened 05 months ago; At this time, Nutanix did not support migration of Uefi servers yet.Since the release of AOS5.11 and Move 3.3, Nutanix supports the migration of Uefi servers (As explained in the release notes).So I migrated AOS to the latest version (5.11.1) and used Move 3.3.1 to perform migrations of 03 servers that use Uefi.In spite of that, the VMs displays nothing while booting...even if I wait for several minutes, I get nothing.In PRISM, I switched the boot mode to BIOS and after to Uefi, but I got the same results.In vCenter, I switched the boot mode to BIOS before performing migration. After Migration (using Move 3.3.1), the results are the same. Could you help me

I'm trying to install AOS 5.10.6 and foundation 4.4.1 Do you have any idea how I could fix this issue? Regards,

We are looking to setup a Nutanix File Server on our ESX cluster, this file server will be housing 21TB of data. I know that we get 1TB for free, how to enable the licensing for the other 20TB as i believe it is per TB.

 Hi, can someone be kind enough to explain what is Downstroking? this effects my SSD config. It happened when I had configured 1x 1.92TB SSD and changed to 2x 960GB SSD (can’t), and forced me to configure to 2x 1.92TB SSD instead. TIA. 

When I pull the VM details using powershell, the Guest OS for all of my VM is empty. I am using the correct syntax '$vm.guestOperatingSystem' to pull the information. All the other information like VMName, Container, PowerState, NetworkAdapters, etc... are coming except Guest OS and Description of VM. Even if I create a new Windows Server 2012 R2 VM, the Guest OS field shows nothing for new VM as well. I have 47 VMs currently on a Nutanix host but the Guest OS information is empty for all of them. Hi all, I am working on a DevOps platform for a client and considering recommending Calm to automate the provision of TeamCity builds if the build queue meets a condition (i.e. if 15 builds in queue then spin up 5 build agents and add them to the pool). Has anyone done this with Calm ?

Hey guys,I have uploaded some of ISO and disk image files including VirtIO to container via Prism Central and they all are marked as ACTIVE means that the upload process has completed successfully.But when I looked into the container to find the uploaded files via command line or WinSCP, all of them are being kept in container except for VirtIO iso file. Do you know how I can find it? Thanks and Regards. 

Hello,We plan to move some nutanix cluster to a new location and we already know that it will not be possible to keep the network vlan and IP setup for the installation.We found the document on how to change the CVM IP and you first advice is to keep the initial network if possible.So we should understood what are the argument pro and against regarding the IP reconfiguration process, can we have some performance issue?In some case we want to keep the data on the cluster and other don't take care of them. So what are the best choice to manage this different move.And if some of yours have already perform this kind of operation, could you share your feedback or advice on that.Thanks for your answers.Regards.David ALEXANDRE.

I have a Hyper-V VM that I want to migrate to our Nutanix AHV cluster.  This VM has a C Drive and 2 ISCSI mounted drives that are mounted within the VM through the Windows ISCSI Initiator.  Will Move migrate those 2 disks as well or do I need to plan to copy data after the migration has taken place?

As we have a strict policy in our company to be always at the latest patches for all services, we are required to upgrade to latest version of VMware "ESXi 6.7 U3" which was released last month, we are already running 6.7 U2 now. we have already upgraded our vCenter to 6.7 U3 which we do not think it has any issues with Nutanix. But to upgrade ESXi itself we do not know about its compatibility, i know about the case of patching ESXi to a higher patch level than the Nutanix certified ones "which we are regularly doing", but for ESXi 6.7 U3 we are afraid of breaking something or being incompatible, and we do not know either if ESXi U's are considered as patches or different versions according to Nutanix.. I searched over Internet and this forum about anything related to 6.7 U3 compatibility but found nothing, at least if we have a road-map from Nutanix about planned compatible version we can wait till its release. We had an issue last evening where one of our nodes decided to take a dive. (Uncorrectable memory in one of the DIMMs).Anyways, I happened to check my email this morning and was like wonderful. So I hopped on to check things out. Turns out the node is indeed unable to boot. So, opened a case. A speedy response - yay!However, I am wondering what type of alerts that are automatically sent to nos-alerts trigger a support case? One would think that a node down and the cluster in HA state would trigger a support case… so I checked the postfix logs and see that an email was sent when everything occurred last evening… which leads me to ask, “What exactly will trigger an alert on the support end if this particular issue didn’t?”Thanks for any insight. Loving Nutanix so far.

After updating era on my dev system from 1.1 to 1.1.1.1 it is continually creating systems task for era_auto_snapshot  which are all stuck in waiting. I now have over 2000 tasks since the update 10 minutes ago

Hi We currently use Files and I have created an SMB share. The share is setup to store disaster recovery information in the event a production failure. We use Data protection to replicate the share to another Nutanix cluster at another site.We want the ability to access this share in the event that our Active Directory isn’t available. I was looking for a location either in PE or PC where I could create local accounts and assign them as a user to this share but have been unable to find.Is this possible to do? Thanks

Hi,Is it possible to install X-Ray machine in a host outside of Nutanix Cluster nodes?

Just curious if there is going to be an update to the Move API documentation to explain how we can create a migration plan from ESX to AHV. Currently the only example shown is for AWS to AHV and when we try to substitute that payload with values from ESX it fails. Create plan example is here:http://{{ move-ip-address }}:8082/#/v2api/plans/createplan We’ve tried using this same template to create a plan for ESX, but it seems to choke on the network identification section with a return code of {'ApiVersion': '2.0.0', 'Code': 20512, 'Message': "Invalid Network Mapping for VM 'NX-TEST'. Hi guys, I'm somewhat new to Nutanix and I was curious if there was a powershell command that will allow you to set the project for a VM. Essentially I want to use scripts to deploy VM's and then when the VM is deployed move it into a project so we can track resources. The deployment part of this is easy enough, but nothing in powershell seems to indicate it can even do this. Is this something that can even be done? I really like the powershell integration, and I really like the SSP Prism Central and Projects. I'd really really like to be able to use both of these together. Thanks

Is there a KB or documentation providing the JSON format and any additional things that may be coded in? For example, in going through the install.nutanix.com portal to generate the JSON file it doesn't ask for NTP server of the hypervisor. In looking at the file, though, there's this line: "hypervisor_nameserver": "8.8.8.8", I'd like to have our Nutanix deployments in code as much as possible (right now we're looking to various scripts for vSphere configurations). Being able to configure as much as possible up front and possibly make this a template for future deployments.

I'm running 3 node cluster, based on 5.10 version (2019-02-11) There are some alerts for each node: [list] [*]Detected Incompatible AHV Version [*]Detected older AHV Version [/list]I've checked the Settings-Upgrade menu - there it nothing available to upgrade for AHV and AOS.

How do clean old Prism Alerts.  Within Webconsole Resolve and Acknowlege doesnt clean old alerts.  Any command would helpful.  Thanks,

We’re in the process of testing Veeam for AHV on our NTNX running AOS 5.10.  So far with Windows issues we have had very few issues and we worked them out quickly.   However with a Linux VM running Ubuntu we’re getting errors on the Nutanix where the snapshot is checking for pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts.  We’ve attempted a variety of ways to get those scripts in place, but it seems that there is no clear path.   Does anyone else have experience with Veeam for AHV and backing up Linux VMs? Does anyone have any info on setting up the pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts?  While we have some experience with this on Linux we’re certainly not experts. 

Hi, We have several Hyper-V servers. We intend to implement Nutanix to replace those Hyper-V servers. We have been given Nutanix Collector win32 v2 to run collecting the information of the Hyper-V servers to estimate what Nutanix to buy. However, I don't know how to run it. Has any one run this before ? Is there any guide document ? Thank you very much for your help.
