You have a pending licensing action

Hi,

I have updated my Nutanix (AHV) license and checking license status, i see correct license expiry date applied to my clusters.

I however still get alert from “Licese Standy Mode” details below

Possible Cause

The license file has not been applied after cluster summary file generation.

Recommendation

Apply a new license.

 

When  i try to reapply license by downloading csf file, uploading csf file i get error:

You’ve uploaded an older/inactive cluster summary file(CSF). To continue, download the latest CSF from Prism Element or Prism Central

Hi,

not sure if I correctly understand this, but do you maybe have a commercial license, not the community edition (CE)? If so, you may want to contact Nutanix support.

I have a Pro license which has been correctly applied, have contacted Nutanix support but no traction on that yet… Thanks

@Uaifo Thank you for your question. The issue that you are facing could be because of the license_key.txt that would be generated on your cluster however not applied.

I hope the KB article linked by @Sneha Patekar solves your issue, if so, please mark it as solved. But note that this is a CE specific forum, so you will more likely get a response to issues related with the commercial version in other Nutanix forums (“how it works”, “installation”, etc.).

Worked with the Nutanix support and basically we unapplied license using the Nutanix CVM command line (Linux) ncli license reset-license after which the cluster license was reset to “Starter” and reapplied my Pro license by following steps in Nutanix (download, then upload *.csf file and download then upload *.lsf file).

 

I now have my Pro license applied and now more licensing errors.
