Hi Guys,   i have some questions, first, can we enable flow on ESX hypervisor on nutanix? i have same question with calm on esxi and i get the answer we can enable calm on esx based on nutanix KB, but how about flow? can we enable/using flow on top esx hypervisor?  and just courious, anyone have table comparation about feature nutanix running on ahv, esx, hyperv?

Where on a Nutanix Files instance can I find logs regarding the creation and modification of directories within a given share?  Particularly I’m looking for logs showing the creation of a directory and then a scripted action to modify the permissions on said directory.  Is this something that is logged?  If so, where would that log reside?

Hi, NCC is reporting that I’m missing the cpupower command. Seems strange. I’m using a i7-2600k processor in each node. Can someone help me with a power shell script which can help us to build multiple VMs by using a Win10 template we have. The environment that I am trying to build the VDIs have Nutanix as the Hardware and ESX 6.5 as the Hypervisor. The script should able to build the machines with sequential number and put them under a specif folder in Hypervisor. I can get the different templates for different containers and with proper Vlan.

AOS upgrade appears to go well, but my CE three node cluster didn’t complete the first AHV upgrade. Hi AllAfter upgrading the NCC version, I get this message CVM was renamed after installation - I haven't changed it!  The recommendation is bizarre - Rename CVM back to its original name.  CVM name is noncofigurable by the end user.So if it is non configurable , what changed it and how do I get it changed back ?  Or is it just having an identity crisis?Is there a fix?

Hello, I’m trying to configure two AHV clusters (3 nodes) for replication. Both environments are running AOS 5.11.2 on HPE DX360 Gen10.   The network environment is spread between two stacks: one stack dedicated to the storage with 10Gb interfaces and one stack for the LAN with 1Gb interfaces. There is no connection between these two networks. After the deployment of the nodes and the configuration of the clusters, I start to configure the Backplane Network with the following parameter: Subnet: 172.16.250.0 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 VLAN: 202 Host node: br1 The backplane network of the first cluster works without any problem. When I do the same (with the same) for the second cluster, it fails. It says that the IPs addresses are already in use.  I would like to specify a VLAN/subnet where both clusters have their backplane IPs so I can use the backplane network for the replication between both clusters.   I hope this is clear.   Kind regards,   Fred 

Trying the veeam AHV appliance, i had a crash whilst taking a backup now am left with orphaned snapshots on a PAID ACCOUNT, and nutanix sends the ball to veeam back to nutanix, so here i am Protection Domain DP-QC-3 has 3 aged third-party backup snapshot(s) and may unnecessarily consume storage space in the cluster. i have a multitude of these and want to manually remove those snapshots, is there a process for this ?

I have a cluster running on an NX-3060-G5 with XenServer hypervisor that I want to completely rebuild on Acropolis. I’m looking for documentation on how to do this. Our original cluster was built by a Nutanix engineer onsite and I recall he had to install the foundation software on another machine, but I don’t recall all of the steps he took. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I'm will be configuring Network Segmentation on my Nutanix Cluster as per these instructions. https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/docs/details?targetId=Web-Console-Guide-Prism-v510:wc-network-segment-on-existing-cluster-wc-t.html The VLAN that I put my backplane traffic on, does it matter or not if I have a Gateway for that VLAN? I would use 172.16.10.0 as the Subnet IP and 255.255.255.0 as the Netmask. I am planning on having a Gateway of 172.16.10.1 on the firewall. Currently, the default configuration without network segmentation, the management and backplane traffic on eth0 has a gateway so as far as I can tell, everything should still work if I have a gateway for backplane traffic. Could someone please confirm that it doesn’t matter if I have a gateway on the backplane VLAN or not?

We are thinking of adding two compute only nodes to our cluster for Oracle.  What are the hardware requirements for running CO nodes?  Does the cluster the CO’s are joined to have to be all flash or do you have to “pin” the VM’s running on the CO to All Flash in the HC storage.   We currently have 4 HC nodes running a mix of SSD and HDD. 

Is it necessary to have 2 vlans when deploying nutanix or can I deploy nutanix with one vlan?

I am trying to add Hyper-V host to Move to migrate the VMs.   But after adding the host, VM inventory are not loading(Shows 0 VMs) . Hi, I am new here and this is my firts experience with Nutanix. I need to deploy 3 nodes, and I’ m going to use the native Hypervisor from Nutanix (AHV). I saw a video explainning that,  to do it, it’s necessary to download and use the Foundation Tools to configure the cluster and than, gathering access to PRISM. Unfortunally, I can’t download Foundation, due to the Nutanix blocks were registered by our customer (message: ...The email XXXXXXX is not authorized for the account associated with the serial number YYYYYYY) and we don’t know who did it. We are trying to identify who registered the blocks but, meanwhile, Is there another way to deploy it without the Foundation tool, or is there a way to unregister the blocks and register again but to different user account?   Thanks in advance,
