Anyone facing problem with Sizer today 05/19/26? When I access Sizer, I can't see my scenarios anymore. I saw in the past whe this occurs, was problem in Akamai, but I need to know when this will normalize.

I have a ticket open but there are long delays between responses and I’m wondering if anyone in the community has run into this issue.Trying to move a 2012R2 File Server and when running the manual preparation script, I get this failure on Installing VirtIO drivers.Failed to install VirtIO drivers. This would impact migrated VM's network connectivity in AHV cluster. Now, I have since just manually installed the VirtIO drivers and they install without issue.  However, I’d like to see the full preparation script finish successfully before I try a move.  I’m not sure why it’s even trying to install the drivers when they are already there, I would think they would just see them and move on.Has anyone one seen this one and gotten past it?

Hi I’m testing the Nutanix API v3 on a AOS 7.5 cluster through the prism central API. I came across the `https://ip_address:9440/api/nutanix/v3/users` endpoint that allows us to create a new user. However, I can’t see to find a way to create a user that’s not tied to any identity provider (local user).  Is there even such a thing? Or is it not supported through the API? Because I can’t see an attribute for that in the payload from the official documentation. I couldn’t find an endpoint for this functionality on other API versions, that’s why I’m using v3. Any help is much appreciated.

Is there any voucher or discount coupon available for the NCA610 certification? Tks.

Good morning all, i have the problem, that one CVM out of a 3-Node-Cluster drives me crazy… For some reason, the CVM went unresponsive regarding it´s cluster-services… CVM itself is available via SSH and I´m able to login using the Nutanix-User CVM cluster status says:   nutanix@NTNX-xxx-B-CVM:172.18.95.76:~$ cluster status | grep -v UP2026-05-08 04:50:48,386Z INFO MainThread zookeeper_session.py:226 Ignoring passed host_port_list: zk1:9876,zk2:9876,zk3:9876 because the passed host_port_list appears to have been copied from the environment variable or gflag.2026-05-08 04:50:48,387Z INFO MainThread zookeeper_session.py:296 cluster is attempting to connect to Zookeeper (unestablished session (object 0x7f6bd2b5d220)), host port list zk1:9876,zk2:9876,zk3:98762026-05-08 04:50:48,387Z INFO MainThread patterns.py:75 Creating a new instance for ZookeeperSession[('client_id', None), ('connection_timeout', None), ('host_port_list', 'zk1:9876,zk2:9876,zk3:9876'), ('use_zk_mt', None)]2026-05-08

Hi all,I am sizing environments and really like to also add the correct licensing to the scenario and export the BOM to request this at the distribution. Unfortunately I have had it now the second time over the last months that licensing was not included correctly. This time I have a scenario with 10 VMs, 5TiB Objects and wanted NCI Edge Pro, NCM Edge Starter and 5 TiB NUS Pro with Adv. Replication. The BOM exported is listing the NCI-E Pro but in addition also Core based licensing. The 5 TiB NUS are missing also the Adv. Replication in the Excel and PDF BOM export.Anybody else with same findings or any thoughts on this?Sebastian

HiI’m trying to deploy Nutanix Files from a brand new cluster using Prism Element:  … but I got this error: The cluster has access to internet, I’ve loged in to a CVM and I’ve done pings to google without issues. So I assume connectivity to nutanix should not be a problem...  am I doing something wrong? Also why I just see the 5.2.1 as the available compatible versions? My AOS is 7.5.1.1 and compatibility matrix shows it is compatible with Files last release 5.3.0.1 Finaly, in case I need to upload the Files bundle manualy (like if it was a dark side), which should be the correct way to do it? I assume I have to download the LCM bundle from nutanix portal and upload it to the PE LCM... Is that correct? Thanks

Hello everyone,I am planning a migration from VMware to Nutanix AHV.The environment still includes some legacy operating systems, such as:Windows XP / Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 (non-R2) Very old Linux distributions (kernel 2.6 era)I fully understand that:These OS versions are not supported on AHV Migration is technically difficult and not recommended This would be a best-effort / temporary solutionHowever, due to VMware licensing constraints, the customer must exit VMware and migrate these VMs anyway. My question to the community is simple:👉 In this kind of situation, what has been the most effective or realistic approach you have used to migrate legacy OS VMs from VMware to AHV?Any real-world experience or advice would be appreciated.Thank you.

Greetings.  We recently inherited a site that has an active subscription of EUC Ultimate licenses.  However, after deploying Prism Central and applying the license, Intelligent Ops was disabled and it’s saying it’s not included in EUC Ultimate license.  We’re confused as we were under the impression that EUC Ultimate included NCM Starter, which should have Intelligent Ops functionality.  Are we misunderstanding that or simply incorrectly applying the EUC Ultimate license to Prism Central? Thanks,

What happened to the Four corners test in X-Ray? What is the equivalent new test?

HiA customer has asked me to deploy nutanix secure snapshots. So to deploy that feature I have to use “approval policies” wich at the same time requests calm or self-service…This customer only has this licensing:NCI Pro +  Advanced Replication add-on (he is using metro-sync) NUS ProIm not able to find if he has enought licensing level to deploy calm or self-service. Can you please help me?thanks

Hi Folks,I have NX-8170-G10 configured with 1x 2port 10G copper, 2x 2port 25G Fibre NICs. Dear Nutanix Community,We would like to inquire about a general licensing scenario regarding temporary license usage.Currently, we have purchased a new license NCI Starter with a total of 60 cores. Before applying it to the target production cluster, we are considering applying this license temporarily to a separate cluster for initial setup or validation purposes. The scenario we would like to confirm is as follows:1. Apply the new license to a temporary cluster with approximately 60 cores.2. After validation, remove the license from the temporary cluster.3. Re-apply the same license to the intended production cluster. We would like to understand:* Whether this scenario is supported.* If there are any risks or limitations associated with this process.* Any recommended best practices for handling such a temporary license application. This inquiry is intended as a general question regarding licensing flexibility and does not involve specific device details.Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,Today I have delivered a three node Cluster to customer.Cluster was Set Up a few days ago in my Environment with a flat Switch.Bond mode for both vswitches is active-backup.Unfortunately Customer had prepared his ToR switches with LACP.All hosts and CVMs cannot communicate. What is the recommended procedure to fix ist?Change bond Mode host by host with manage_ovs  OR Let network team configure the switches (disable LACP) and configure the clusternodes via Prism, after that let Network Team enable LACPKind regards,Thomas

Hello, customer is using two 4-node clusters at different (geo)locations. There is used a async replication of vm’s via protection domains to the remote site, that works and a failover test was successful.customer wants to deploy NKP on its primary cluster, so far so fine. How can NKP Kontroller cluster and working cluster replicated to the secondary site?Protection domain too or another way? kind regards,Thomas

Hi everyone,Has anyone here worked with Nutanix in a PCI DSS environment? I have a few questions and would love to hear from people who have been through it.- How did you separate PCI workloads from other workloads in your Nutanix cluster?- Did you use Nutanix Flow for network segmentation? Did it work well for PCI?- How did you handle logging to meet PCI DSS requirements?- Any issues with patching AOS / AHV while staying compliant?- Did your auditor (QSA) already know Nutanix, or did you have to explain the platform to them?Any tips or lessons learned are welcome. Thank you!

Ideas please?

Hello all,I am trying to make a custom role in my Prism central. The thing I've been searching for is a user’s ability to launch a prism element from prism central. I'm not sure where it is in the operations when making the role. would anyone know where this is?
