i have installed Nutanix SE on a old HPE DX380 Node without problems. I can ping the CVM and AHV Host IPs and i have also ssh connect but i cant connect via Browser with the CVM IP. no matter what command I run via ssh it always comes: Error: Cannot connect to Prism Gatewayi tried to configure proxy, name servers but always the same problemWhat it’s wrong?Thanks for every hint/help

Hi Community,We are working on enhancing our automation flows in Nutanix Self-Service blueprints and would like some guidance on the best way to approach two things:Enable memory overcommit automatically for every VM deployed from a blueprint: Our goal is that VMs should always have this applied at deployment time without requiring manual adjustment later. Ensure category assignment is mandatory for deployed VMs: We would like to implement a check so that if a VM doesn’t have a category assigned during creation, the workflow requires a category before it can proceed. Is there a preferable script type or approach for implementing these checks and automations within Self-Service? Any suggestions on best practices - especially regarding script selection - would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, In our environment, we want everyone (not just members of a specific project) to be able to launch a given blueprint when needed. Right now, blueprints appear to require being tied to a project, which limits visibility and use. Is there a way to make a blueprint globally accessible to all users/groups without restricting it to one project? Or assign the blueprint to multiple projects?Also, we’d like to enforce category assignment as part of the VM creation process. Ideally, users should be required to select or fill in a category value before deploying a VM. Can this be achieved somehow?Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out a way to import projects into Prism. I got stuck when I read there is a limit for projects number based on the environment, with a maximum of 500 projects. Is there a way to have more than 500, specifically almost a 1000 and will probably be growing? Any advice here will be appreciated! 

I was testing Link Failover and it was not working as expected. I have configured ACtive-Standby, and once I am taking out the cable from NIC1 all the traffic does not goes through Standby link, after connecting nic back, the traffic was also restored. Just want to know the faiover scenario related to NIC. Note : Time seems to be correct in every CVM Once the traffi is back I am trying to access CVM with virtual IP giving below error

Hi All,I have been trying to setup a NC2 using AWS. The setup went through fine as shown below screenshot from the prism page:Problem i see now is, the VM created (Ubuntu and Win10) are not been able to connect to internet for any updates or downloads (mirror urls). Also, we are not able to do ssh on those machines.Any help is appreciated.

The nutanix AHV python SDKs are pinned to an old and vulnerable version of certifi which introduces cve-2024-39689 into integrations that leverages this.I previously wrote up a very detailed post on this but it was deleted with no explanation. Hello.The LCM UI page does not open like the image below.Recent work statusAOS 5.20 versionNX-1075-G8Proceed with LCM Update OperationIt was confirmed as the version below LCM 2.5, and we updated it to local dark site VM with LCM 3.1-H.After the normal update, the update to the latest LCM version LCM 3.2 was completed using the Directupload function of the activated LCM.After completing the job, the LCM page was fine and the job was finished.The next day, the LCM page appeared empty on the Prism page.Other Home or other tabs are fine.I tried to take action with KB-14940 but there was no change.I need help with what I can do in this situation.For your information, the PC is not configured.

I noticed that Nutanix REST API v3 offer ability to interact with Nutanix Projects. The same features seem not to be available using the new API v4 so far. Will this come in the future? Is there a roadmap with all the features that will be coming in API v4?

We have a 6-node Nutanix cluster on VMware ESXi spread across two racks. Each rack has a ToR switch, and both ToRs are in an IRF stack. We just got our first 3 node Nutanix cluster (using AHV)  a couple months ago so we’re very new. I have been unable to use the Nutanix Portal setting within LCM to perform updates so I used the Dark Site option. Plus I have warnings about LDAPS but I am unable to use that setting. Both issue I think are cert related. I replaced the self signed certs in Prism Element & Prism Central following a couple Nutanix KB’s.Do I also need to replace certs on the individual CVM’s? The Nutanix documents & KB’s don’t explicitly mention anything about certs on the CVM’s but at the same time there have been a couple documents that say not to put certs on the CVM’s because future updates could remove them. 

HI Team, Recently I have installed Nutanix CE on Dell Power Edge R430. I am facing issue while trying to create network configs for creation of VMs. My lab network is shown below,I have interfaces from eth0 - eth7. eth4 is connected to Network 10.146.20.0/24, I would like to configure the same in Nutanix, so that the VMs that I create fall under the same subnet. I tried creating subnet and booted an Linux instance to check the reachability. I am unable to reach GW from that linux.  I reached out to my lab team, and they suggested to have eth4 alone in a bond. To do that, I tried to assign eth4 to vs0 alone but unable to do it. Could you please let me know what are the series of steps that need to be followed so that I could successfully create VMs.  Thanks,

Hello,What is the best practice to migrate a VM with 60 TB using RDM from esxi to AHV? Is it possible to map the RDM to Nutanix Cluster or to convert the RDM?

I want to reserver as mentioned below for a Linux VM running on AHV 10 and AOS 7.3. CPU: 4 vCPUs with a 10,000 MHz reservation Memory: 10 GB with a 10 GB reservation Disk: 1 x 110 GB with thick provisioning If these reservations exist, how can they be configured? I couldn’t find any information in PE/PC. It also seems that this feature was available up to AOS 6.8 but not in AOS 7.x versions.Let me know if there are any workarounds as well.
