HI We use an AWS cloud instance as a remote data protection ‘site’. The production cluster has been successfully updated to  AOS 5.15.1.1 (LTS) but this needed an AHV update to keep everything compatible.. Is is possible / desirable to upgrade the AWS cloud instance AHV ? IIRC it’s not supported to do OS upgrades (MIcrosoft OS anyway) on cloud infrastructure, it’s generally a migration to a new server. Is it possible to put a new AWS remote Nutanix instance in place and connect the backup data ??? Any advice on how to keep the whole Nutanix environment up to date is appreciated.

HI, recently someone upgraded a VM in our Nutanix cluster without documenting it. I know when it happened from the Tasks view in Prism. I need to konw if there is a log of who has logged into Prism to correlate but can’t seem to find this. Any ideas? Thanks!

I”m trying to find out if Nutanix has a scheduled patching regimen similar to Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday. How are admins informed when there is an emergency patch? Do these include patches to Prism, to AOS and firmware patches? Thank you.

Hi allI use the v2 Prism Elements API to clone a VM from a Protection Domain Snapshot.It seems to work and the VM is created (cloned) correctly.However: The new VM always has the Prefix “Nutanix-Clone-”.The values i pass via vg_name_prefix and vm_name_prefix are simply ignored. In the Web UI (using the v1 API internally) it works fine.Please see the attached screenshots of the Web UI and the API call. Thanks in advance!

I’m receiving a 401 Unauthorized error when trying to access our cluster to retrieve snapstop information. I’m passing a valid VM UUID and have used credentials from one of our local user accounts which has both cluster and admin roles assigned. Hello team, We used Nutanix sizer to configure a 3 node cluster, if hybrid mode is selected the smaller suggested option for cold data is a 4 X 2Tb SAS disks set when we choose 2 x 960Gb SSD for hot data. Is it possible to get support and buy a license if we configure the node with 2 x 2Tb disks? It's a small environment and we don't need all that extra space. Every hardware component is in the supported compatibility matrix of the vendor, just not sure Nutanix can fully support a custom configuration

Hello, I intend to take the NCP 5.10 exam and for this I used the voucher available from April 22 to July 31 for partners that allows me to do it for free. I have scheduled the exam for July 30 but I would like to know if it is possible to schedule it for later, in this case August. The exam programmer allows me to set the exam in August but I am afraid of losing the free opportunity offered by the voucher since I do not know if the interval April 22 - July 31 refers to the time when you can schedule the exam or if it refers to when you can do it. How to get SATADOM firmware Version on Nutanix AHV Hosts. We are planning to upgrade Hardware Firmware and need to upgrade SATADOM firmware before that. Also, it;s not showing under LCM. We are using AOS 5.15.1 and having latest NCC, Foundation installed.

Hi, I have built up a Darksite LCM running in my own local network and have Internet access to download necessary Darksite bundles for upgrading. In my testing evironment, the server works flawlessly with Dell XC cluster and Nutanix cluster as well but with DX cluster, it cannot provide any firmware update at this time though currently at least 1 node in our cluster is running on an old SPP version (2019.03.01). For our DX environment: Node1: 2020.03.0 SPP Node2: unverified? (LCM cannot detect the SPP version) Node3: 2019.03.01 SPP Does anyone have any idea on this case?

Is there a document that guides on how to use Move migration via command line interface?  I know that there is a web GUI tool.  But, I am wondering if there is another way thru CLI.

Hi folks, I have done a successfull VM migration using Nutanix Move 3.5.2 from ESXI 6.5 to AHV 20191030.415. All migration process is validated and fine, the VM can be migrated from ESXI to AHV but it failed when I try to boot in from AHV console as this picture :
