Hi ,Recently i have completed NCP MCI technical certification, but still my digital certification not yet received my mail ID. I’ve sent mail to certification@nutanix.com no response from team.Please share the procedure to get the Same. 

I need to upgrade vcenter to 7.0 in my lab, but I can find confirmation that will work with AOS, version 5.15.1.1 LTS.Actual 6.7U3 is installed, and AOS is on ESXI 6.7U3, i can move the hosts later, when will published in the compatibility matrix (dell R640), but I have to upgrade ASAP the vcenter, thanks for the support!

I’m working on building a SQL Cluster on Nutanix using shared storage. Having issues on some of the steps in the ‘Creating a Windows Guest VM Failover Cluster’ walkthrough. I have NOT attached it to the VMs yet. I’ve enabled MPIO on each of the 2 servers I’ve enabled iSCSI Devices in the Multipaths tab   Where I’m stuck is the next portion on the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator/Target Portal IP portion. We are looking to combine our two nutanix blocks together.we currently have the NX-3360-G6 and the NX-1365-G6. if this possible to achieve, do we have have to double up on the redundant connections per node? this would mean it would be occupying 12 sfp+ connections all together. can anybody shed some light or experience on this?

Dear Team, I purchased 3 node IBM Power node running with AOS.Once i am trying to create ticket with Nutanix they said raise ticket with IBM vendor but i couldn’t understand if the Issue with AHV then why i should log ticket with IBM?IBM vendor Only responsible for hardware issue.Please suggest anyone how to register the ticket IN kuwait region if customer having IBM power Node with nutanix native AHV.

Hi team,We have a 5 node SSD+NVMe cluster with RF3 and are considering adding 2 all-SSD nodes to that cluster.Are there any drawbacks/risks/restrictions to having only 2 nodes of all-SSD type in this RF3 cluster?SSD+NVMe nodes:  G7, 6256 CPU, 1TB RAM, 4x1,92TB SSD, 4x3,84TB NVMeAll-SSD nodes: G6, 6128 CPU, 768GB RAM, , 6x3,84TB SSD

Hi,Ｉ plan expanding cluster to add 3 nodes that model are XC640 and hypervisor is ESXi 6.7 U2.Cluster’s AOS versio is 5.10.6 LTS but additional node’s 5.16STS.I cannot add nodes...Can I anything to do additional nodes?And Do you know how to recreate CVM on new nodes?

Hello All,I am new to Nutanix and AHV; however, I have a large amount of experience with Hyper-v and SCVMM. One of the things I am trying to do is automate the creation of a vm’s. My end goal is to take an “image” base drive I have uploaded to images containing an install of my windows OS.Deploy a new vm with that image, have a static IP assigned to the new vm automatically from a pool of IP’s, join my domain, and run a few powershell scripts in the VM. I would have done this all with an IP pool and a template in SCVMM and as much as I have read about templates in AHV I am not seeing anything like it. Am I missing something here?Do we have a resource on how to configure something like this?

Does AHV supports MSCS ? So, on a dev cluster with Prism Central I created a Proof-of-Concept Nutanix Objects "Store". I did some experimentation (spotted a few problems with the deployment) and then decided I wanted to remove the store. First off I tried to delete the bucket, and was told "You need to delete all versions first": grr! Went and deleted all objects, but this wasn't enough, as versioning was enabled. So, turned version lifespan down to 1 day, and waited 24 hours. Great, now I could delete the bucket - however, I can't find any option to delete the store. So, I'm stuck with the (in my mind, greedy) VMs the deployment created, as I can't even go behind it's back and do anything with the VMs, as they're "special", just like the hidden Calm project which is used to deploy the store. All in all, not very impressed on first experiences...

Hello Everybody,Hope you’re all doing well !I want to install Nutanix using Foundation.I have 3 Lenovo nodes and one Cisco 2960X switch that consists of 24 x 1 Gig RJ45 ports and 04 x 1 Gig SFP ports.Unlike Supermicro nodes, Lenovo nodes do not have Shared IPMI ports.So, for each Lenovo node, I have to connect 01 x 10 Gig port and 01 GbE IPMI Port to the same CISCO 2960X switch (10 Gig ports of the nodes connected to 1 Gig SFP ports of the switch and 1Gig IPMI ports to the 1 Gig RJ45 ports ).Please take a look of the picture below…Since 10 Gig ports of the nodes are connected to 1Gig ports of the switch, I wonder if this architecture can allow me to install nutanix and create the cluster without any issues ? Thanks in advance.

HI We use an AWS cloud instance as a remote data protection ‘site’. The production cluster has been successfully updated to  AOS 5.15.1.1 (LTS) but this needed an AHV update to keep everything compatible.. Is is possible / desirable to upgrade the AWS cloud instance AHV ? IIRC it’s not supported to do OS upgrades (MIcrosoft OS anyway) on cloud infrastructure, it’s generally a migration to a new server. Is it possible to put a new AWS remote Nutanix instance in place and connect the backup data ??? Any advice on how to keep the whole Nutanix environment up to date is appreciated.

HI, recently someone upgraded a VM in our Nutanix cluster without documenting it. I know when it happened from the Tasks view in Prism. I need to konw if there is a log of who has logged into Prism to correlate but can’t seem to find this. Any ideas? Thanks!

I”m trying to find out if Nutanix has a scheduled patching regimen similar to Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday. How are admins informed when there is an emergency patch? Do these include patches to Prism, to AOS and firmware patches? Thank you.

Hi allI use the v2 Prism Elements API to clone a VM from a Protection Domain Snapshot.It seems to work and the VM is created (cloned) correctly.However: The new VM always has the Prefix “Nutanix-Clone-”.The values i pass via vg_name_prefix and vm_name_prefix are simply ignored. In the Web UI (using the v1 API internally) it works fine.Please see the attached screenshots of the Web UI and the API call. Thanks in advance!
