Hi everyone,When create Volume Group, I’ll select the allowed source VMs to access my VG either internal VM or external client, the question is in which cases I need to configure Filesystem Whitelists? Thanks in advance.

Good day,I am currently going through the NCSE Core online learning modules but would like to know if there is anything else I need to know before taking the exam.I’m looking to get this exam done shortly but want to make sure that I am sufficiently prepared. Thank you

The last couple days I have received an error email indicating that snapshot replication to AWS was skipped because a newer snapshot is available. I'm looking at the replication status and I see:Id                        : 15008898    Protection Domain         : Exchange    Replication Operation     : Sending    Start Time                : 04/09/2021 19:49:01 MDT    Remote Site               : *RemoteSite*    Snapshot Id               : 15008893    Aborted                   : false    Paused                    : false    Bytes Completed           : 75.22 MiB (78,870,811 bytes)    Complete Percent          : 3.2552084E-4    Id                        : 14973755    Protection Domain         : ERP    Replication Operation     : Sending    Start Time                : 04/08/2021 18:00:01 MDT    Remote Site               : *remoteSite*    Snapshot Id               : 14973750    Aborted                   : false    Paused                    : false    Bytes Completed           : 1.4 GiB (1,508

Hello everyone, After some research i saw that there is no opportunities to collect Total Snapshot Usage (Exclusive Usage) per Protection Domain through the API (i’m on 5.15.3 AOS).As i have lot of VMs per PD, how can i collect this info through Nutanix Cmdlets and obtain this one per PD ?  Thanks.

I migrated 2 linux servers from Xen Citrix successfully. In the image configuration, can I delete the disk images or if I do that the VM will no longer function.

Hi I have a question in the Nutanix enviroment.I need to change control for the ssh to CVM so that just some IPs can access to avoid some intrusion access.I checked the <Nutanix security Guide> and there are some descriptopm in TCP Wrapper Integration, But after I changed the file of /etc/hosts.allow to include just the allowed IPs and CVM management subnet. But It will be changed to default after the cluster security config schedule(by default daily.) Is it possible to change the sshd allow list to achieved this goal? there are security requreiments for the enviroment. thanks.

We have two Prism Central in our environment. Is there a way to link two PrismCentral ?

I am trying to figure out how to pass variables to a calm runbook through a JSON post via the API. /api/nutanix/v3/runbooks/runbooku_uid/run{ "kind": "runbook" "spec": { "args": [ { "name": "network_name", "value": "Test123" }]}}

What is FLR? What’s the purpose of the /flr endpoint?

Hello, We have the VM with the file serber on installing on one of the node of our Nutanix. For now the size of the disk is 3.5 TB, but we wanted to extend this size up to 4.5TB. Is somebody knows if VM will work correctly with the such big size of the disk?

Want to know the maximum number of VLAN(802.1q) interfaces than can be created on each bridge of AHV. I cannot find any documentation or matrix about this. Thank you.

I ma a dark-site NX-3060-G7 cluster. I need to know who is the manufacturer of the firmware for this machine so I can update the LCM firmware.

Hi everybody,We’re doing a slight restructure in our DC and in thus need to change the default gateway used by a Nutanix cluster (3-node cluster).I’m aware of the following guide:https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Advanced_Admin-Acr_v4_6:ip__ip_reconfig_web_c.htmlBut isn’t it at all possible to change something as simple as just the Default Gateway without such an invasive procedure requiring downtime? The part of the article on how to do it manually is...Non-existent:https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Advanced_Admin-Acr_v4_6:ip__cvm_ip_address_reconfigure_t.html

What is better, 4x960GB SSDs per node or 2x1.9TB SSDs?We currently have 2x960GB SSDs and need to double the capacity. Cost aside, any benefits of one configuration over another?

Hi community, I have some Qlogic 10G/25G NIC cards in my cluster which as I understand are not “supported” however seem to be detected correctly to some extent. Manage_ovs show-interfaces displays the output below which leads me to belive that the driver is loaded. However, currently those ports are connected to a 10G switch and so the speed and the operational status are not correctly working. Is there a way to set these by hand?  manage_ovs show_interfaces    name  mode  link speedenp5s0f0 25000 False  Noneenp5s0f1 25000 False  None    eth0  1000 False  None    eth1  1000 False  None    eth2  1000 False  None    eth3  1000 False  None    eth4  1000 False  None    eth5  1000 False  None    eth6  1000 False  None    eth7  1000  True  1000 When I add those cards to a vritual bridge I get the error message below. manage_ovs --bridge_name br1 --bond_name bond1 --interfaces 25g update_uplinks2021-03-31 18:05:50,402Z WARNING manage_ovs:437 Interface enp5s0f1 does not have link state2021-03-

Hi folks,Can I convert HC node to CO node? if yes, how?

How do I check hot and cold data by virtual machine? I'm going to migrate the virtual machines of the existing nodes to the node that I'm going to buy new ones. So, I'd like to check the hot and cold data of the virtual machines, respectively.

I’m tuning RBAC to provide Self-Service users with just enough permissions for CRUD operations on VMs and Recovery points using the API and custom roles. When trying to create a VM, I see the following message with the “VM Template” radio button greyed out: There are currently no VM templates available in the projects that you are a part of. So, where is the association of VM Templates to a project? I created a couple of VM templates by creating the required images and adding them to the catalog. Is there some special permission required for this (because playing with RBAC has made this greyed out)?

Good morning All   I have a bit of an NGT issue, the Prism Central alerts me to say some VMs need a NGT upgrade, when I go to upgrade them I see the message “NGT can only be upgraded on 0/1 VMs which have the available upgrade of NGT”   Review and confirm buttons are greyed out so I cannot continue - what does the message mean and what do I do to get it to work?   Many thanks   Eric

Hello, I tried to change the Prism admin password today, but the admin account keep locked automatically. So every time I have to reset the admin account from a CVM, but it gets locked after 5 minutes.

I was wondering what best practice is for defragmenting guest OS on a Nutanix node.  I am running ESXi on the nodes.  I have looked all over but I cannot find anything that tells me definitively the best practice.
