I want to collect informations from a single hyper-V host in a cluster.But i get an error:HTTPSConnectionPool(host='192.168.10.141', port=5986): Max retries exceeded with url: /wsman (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.VerifiedHTTPSConnection object at 0x000001AD0B88C808>: Failed to establish a new connection: [WinError 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it'))Powershell 5.1 is installed, IP is correct. Has someone an idea?

I tried to use the precheck script on one of our Hyper-V servers.Everything works fine, but I get the error message ".... not a Domain Admin." even though my user is a domain admin. I think this might be related to the fact that the Domain Admins group is called "Domänen-Admins".Has anyone seen something like this before?

Hi, we are getting 100’s of copies of a simple PC report (a clone of one of the built in reports). It seems after time change on Sunday AM the reports w/ schedules seem to trigger an hour earlier than they should. So they then run over and over until the time actually triggers. For example:Daily Report scheduled for 7am, runs at 6am (over and over - 718 times last count) until 7am (it runs over a bit, eg. 7:05am which I assume is just it catching up w/ the que). I have deleted the reports, created brand new ones, setup new schedules, checked time on PC CVM (is correct). Tried to restart services/cluster stop/reboot, etc. Even tried updating PC to 2021.1.0.1 (which fixed a PDF reporting issue we had, but not this one).  Anyone else having this issue?

Are there ANY plans to expand on the PowerShell cmdlets at all, specifically for getting host info? They’re pretty bare bones. I don’t even know the last time the cmdlets were updated/expanded. It seems to me Nutanix regrets making them and hopes they will quietly die. I have relied heavily on PowerShell to keep tabs on a very large Nutanix environment running Nutanix on both AHV and ESXi. I’m talking 700+ nodes. The ESXi clusters are no problem getting the info from because I use VMware’s PowerCLI to supplement the lack of data I can get with Nutanix Cmdlets, but the AHV clusters are another story since I don’t have PowerCLI to fall back on. Can we at least get a cmdlet that will allow us to use PowerShell to initiate ncli or acli commands, like VMware does with the “Get-EsxCLI” cmdlet. That would be very helpful.

I want to configure a new AHV cluster with 10 Nodes, this would be the first time for me. I have little experience to install AHV on Bare metal, AOS, AHV installation, Network configuration etc. etc.Please share me some document so that i can able to install this. Right now i have only Nutanix Field Installation Guide.

Hi Community,Version and model - NX-1065-G6I have a faulty DIMM in one node.  Memory | Uncorrectable ECC (@DIMMC1(CPU2)) | AssertedI would like to remove it from the node and restart it. i.e. Not to replace it with a new memory module.Is this possible? Risks? How should I configure the node with the missing DIMM, or is it something that Nutanix takes care of automatically? Any other advice? Recommendations?I found this document. Hi,We are planning to move to Nutanix in our organization. One of the application that is in the scope of this project is Splunk. We are a small environment and our Splunk data intake is around 30GB/day and the setup is mainly used as a SIEM.We have received a few recommendation to isolate Splunk to a separate cluster. Is this necessary, or can we have it on the same cluster if we could guarantee the availability of resources for it? The cluster will host a few application and some infrastructure component like AD and DNS.Are there any major benefits if we isolate Splunk in a different cluster?

Hi,I created a custom network(does not have internet access) in PC and assign it to an android vm but its fluctuating. It is not connecting to that network. (Also tried by creating  diffrent subent, same issuse ).While this issue occurs only in Android Vm, Not in Linux,Windows VM.Linux and Windows VM were easily connected without any issue.See GIF for more clarification.

NCP 5.10 Exam - Issues with PSI Video Streaming What are the ways to fix a denied - PSI Video Streaming - Denied check item that is needed prior to taking the Nutanix University Exam. I have issue withe just 1 item that is not passing(Denied) the compatibility check prior to taking the NCP 5.10 exam   Some times it passes but some times it does not.And because of this was unable to start my exam today.PSI Services LLC worked remotely with me but the compatibility check did not pass. Later in the day when I ran the check, It passes then few minutes laterit fails again. I don't have an issues with Zoom/Webex and many other applicationsits just this application, And I also can not get the PSI secure browser to start to installand can not find any info at which point this software gets installed?  

Today we have an Openedge Progress Database running in a VMware cluster.Is it homologated to Nutanix AHV if we migrate?

Just a few questions re sequential I/O and the OPLOG versus the Extent Store. If the I/O is deemed sequential in nature, will this always bypass the OPLOG or only when the write operation is larger then 1MB?  Does bypassing the oplog mean that the write will be a lot slower in comparison?  It still hits the SSD so my assumption is that it’s going to be the same. Why does the process of coalescing the writes before sequentially draining them help with performance? I’m interested in why this step is necessary as opposed to just writing directly to the SSD and then replicating out.

Hi,Can you please point me to a document with _detailed_ description of networking requirements for Files for PD recovery to work, as well as _detailed _ description of how the networking is being handled during the failover?The reason I’m asking is that I’m planning PD for Files, and I need to understand the networking side of that, i.e. how Storage and Client networking are being handled during the failover to the other cluster, where the networking is different (different datacentre). Do I pre-configure portgroups to connect to in advance, as well as the IP-s to assign?, and AOS/Files handle this automatically during the failover? Or is this a “wizard”-driven workflow where I specify portgroups and IPs? Or is there a requirement for stretched VLAN-s for both Client and Storage networks? I wasn’t able to find and deatiled information on that, so am askign for your help.Thank you, Victor

Hi,I can’t access LCM in my CE cluster. It just says “LCM Framework Update is in progress. Please check back when the update process is completed.” It’s been like this for days. Updating Foundation and NCC worked fine the old way.I can’t see any active tasks in Prism or using ecli task.listAny ideas?

Hi,We run an out of hours monitoring service here that automatically contacts an engineer when a specific email address receives an alert.The problem is, I don’t want to be alerted to every event - only Critical or events that affect the running of the cluster (e.g. Disk Failure, Node Failure, CVM failure) to the out of hours, but we do want normal alerts to come through to another email address.How would I go about customizing alerts to a) go to a specific address and b) only critical events are sent?The e-mail config for alerts seems to cover all events which is great for in-hours but not for on-call. Custom alerts don’t seem to cover the events above.

Hi All,I have a HP GL380p G8 and I have 1x30GB SSD 1 x 400GB SSD 2 x 600 SASWhen i start the install it asks for the location to install the hypervisor, CVM and what are data disks.  Can I use the 30GB SSD for the hypervisor and the CVM. This will leave the 400GB SSD for performance tier and the 2 x 600GB for normal tier.

I recently used LCM to update the firmware on my 9 node cluster. One of the hosts did not come back up. I was able to get it to reboot back into the host OS, but it had no network connectivity. The interfaces were up, IP address assigned, just no traffic passing through the bridge. After fighting with it for some time, I decided to eject the node from the cluster and just re-foundation a new one.
