Hi Team,I am planing to deploy Nutanix 3 node with Hyper V. so i want to know that intial deploymentcan I use LACP on Switch Side.please guide me LACP configuration for Nutanix side?Environment:Network : IPMI Hyperviser Management Subnet - 10 G Port 1 and 2 -LACP Guest VM Subnet - 10 G Port 3 and 4 -LACP Guest VM Second Subnet - 1 G Port 1 and 2 Two 10 G Switch Two 1 G Switch

We have created a new vlan for windows 10 VM and I wanted to update existing network to new network. I was not able edit the existing network and choose the new one, it is grayed out. Do I need to delete and re-add new nic and choose the new network? For ESXi, you simply browse the network and select the one you want and save it.

Hi,Can you please help me with any recommendation and/or point me to any documentation around running Nutanix Files alongside other types of workloads (on ESXi)? I.e. server virtualisation, VDI, other Files instances, sustainability for resource contention, resource reservation, etc.While I do understand that in an extreme case of a dedicated HCI cluster where only FSVM-s are spread across the nodes, Files would surely perform well, I’m after more real-world scenarios, where Files still deliver.Thank you, Victor.

What is difference between classroom (Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Administration (ECA) [V5.15] (NUECA515)), online (Enterprise Cloud Administration) and online plus (Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Administration 5.15 Online Plus (NUECA515-OP))?I can’t check the instructor-led classroom material. I just want to know that these are same contents but different way to learn.

In the default AHV network schema, ther’s a connection between the AHV management and the virbr0. Can you explain me the purpose of that connection and the IP adresses used ?

Hi,I would like to configure anti-afinity on on the VMs. I checked this only able to configure thru command. To configure the rules, does the VMs need to be powered down?

If the clusters are related with prism central (so I should use v3), Can i use v2 to actions like: manage NIC, Attach/Detach Disks, manage snapshots from API v2?Is recovery plans is the same as snapshots here? I want to create jobs for automatic snapshots, but I do not see thios possibility in v2I am using the same account for api v2 and v3 actions, in production environment with my own IP, it will be the same host? It is specified in API Documentation, but I want to be sure if the host for both will be the same - eg. nutanixtest.com/v2… and nutanixtest.com/v3…Thanks!

I started a 1-click ESXi HyperVisor upgrade of a 7-node cluster which progressed well and had already successfully upgraded 4 of the nodes, when one of the hosts wasn’t able to enter maintenance mode because one of the VMs was spending too long consolidating a snapshot. After many hours had passed, the remaining 1-click update tasks all appeared to have aborted.  I manually resolved the issue involving the guest, and then started the 1-click update again.  It prompted for vCenter details, and then created new hypervisor update tasks to update the remainder of the ESXi hosts.These also completed successfully.All Hypervisor update Tasks appear to be completed, and all the ESXi hosts are updated.All NCC checks also pass OK.  The cluster is healthy, the Health Icon is green, and Data Resiliencey is OK.Howerver, the CVMs all still believe there is a Hypervisor upgrade in progress:nutanix@NTNX:~$ ncli host ls | egrep 'upgrade|99825' Hypervisor Version : VMware ESXi 6.7.0 build-1749

Hi, I already passed the NCA exam and I tried twice to pass the NCP-MCI 5.15 wo=ithout any success , its very frustrating, I been studying pretty hard the blue print and all the training material from the University website, but I found the test questions a little confusing most of the time, Cna anybody recommend a more practical study guide so I can FNALLY past this test? I know that this question has been asked in this forum a few years back but I wanted to see if the answer changed since the newer releases of AOS.  In my case, I’m running AOS version 5.15.4 LTS and found that our 7-node cluster was configured for RF3 - although most of our containers are RF2 (the exceptions being the “NutanixManagementShare: and “SelfServiceContainer” containers).Since most of our containers are only RF2 I’m not too concerned about extra overhead but was curious if AOS now supports the switchback from RF3 on the cluster.

I have a cluster of 6 nodes including 3 nodes 1065-G5 and 3 other nodes 1065-G6 which run a hyper-v.I wanted to update from Aos 5.10.5 to 5.17.1 through LCM but I am having issues with the processors.I therefore want to proceed node by node in maintenace mode.Can you give me the procedure for updating the aos by proceeding by this method?

We’ve migrated a handful of test VMs from our vSphere legacy architecture to Nutanix (also running ESXi)  Both on ESXi 6.5 and latest Prism/software builds, etc.  When using Nutanix Move to do the migration, we’ve noticed that the migrated VM is taking on GMT for its time when the VM boots up.  We are in Michigan so the VM is five hours ahead, but the local windows timezone Eastern. After logging in and/or rebooting, the time typically syncs up fine.  However, this proved to be a major problem when we moved a domain controller and it caused time to be off everywhere.   ncc health_checks network_checks check_ntp all comes back fine and our time sources are defined properly both in Nutanix as well as NTP oin the ESXi host.  What are we missing or is this a bug?

Hello All, I have created this great powershell script that makes VM’s in AHV. It has been a journey let me tell you, but I made it through. The one thing I would like to add to this is creating a vm with UEFI boot option. I know this needs to be done at creation and I can create it in the acli with the following: acli vm.create UEFIVM2 uefi_boot=true However; is there a way to do this with powershell? I will look at finding a way to wrap the ssh command above but it sure would be nice if it was just a parameter on the                         new-ntnxvirtualmachine cmdletIs there a way I can create the vm with UEFI with powershell? Thanks,Scott
