Hi folks, In VMware, we need to enable EVC to be able to do vMotion between diff processors, what about AHV? what should be done or is it working smoothly?

HiI have 4 Nodes cluster with the detailed network belowVLAN1000 : IPMI Usage (192.168.255.x/24)VLAN20 : GuestVM & Internal Cluster Network (192.168.2.x/24)I was using eth3 and eth4 in bond br0-up in bridge br0 (vs0) And then i’m adding a new vlan (VLAN30 : 192.168.3.x/24) for separating GuestVM network from Internal ClusterI am using eth0 and eth1 in another bond (bond br1-up in bridge br1) connected to my switchport mode access VLAN30. The problem is, when i created VM using that network (vs1), my guest vm cant ping anywhere even the gateway of its subnet. But when i test my laptop that connected to the switchport mode access VLAN30, my laptop can ping the Gateway.Here i give the detail of my topology and uplinks configurationTopologyUplinks of each hostsvs1 configuration Perhaps someone can enlight me maybe i missed something here when i’m trying to configure this? Thank you.

For instance; Dell OpenManage (DOM) or Supermicro Server Manager (SSM). I don’t readily know if either would support the others solution (like DOM supporting IPMIs or SSM supporting iDracs) Or, would Prism Central (and Prism Element) be sufficient for hardware monitoring and alerting?We currently have and are using DOM but not for the SuperMicro hardware so I’m wondering if I’m potentially missing out on a better solution or not.

Hi!I am wondering, if there is a quick way to restore from a failed ESXi upgrade.Imaging you have fired up a ONE-Klick-Upgrade of the ESXi image, and (as see with ESXi7.0U1GA) the hypervisor is not boot up again.At ESXi level i can backup config and restore config after a plane install. But what about CVM?Setting up the whole node with foundation is a nightmare, if the node is already installed in an customer environment, and can’t be discovered.The best way would be, that the foundation within a cluster could deploy a CVM to a plain ESXi and rebuild the cluster-node from the information stored in the cluster...

HI Team under Prism we’ve created a few VM’s (windows), one of VM is our File Server, current configuration is IDE disk 1TB, (60GB OS, 900GB shared folders). probably is better to create one virtual disk 60GB on OS and the second virtual disk as storage (1TB) or more.question is how to shrink current IDE disk from 1TB → 60GB, and if IDE should be change on SCSI disk, what Nutanix recommended?instruction to shrink disk IDE->SCSIthanks Dariusz

From the Nutanix Bible: “when a Curator full scan runs, it will find eligible extent groups which are available to become encoded. Eligible extent groups must be "write-cold" meaning they haven't been written to for awhile”.I have 2 questions:if I have some data just written in the oplog, how long takes to copy those datas in the extent store, assuming that there is not any read of it?Once the data are in the extent store, how long it takes before the erasure coding is applied to the datas? 

Hello all,I am trying to do some updates in a dark site. I have configured the webserver and downloaded all the updates on the local server(like in the documentation). But from my understanding of the documentation, you need to do the following steps:Put the necessary files in the web server Replace the compatibility checks for the specific upgrade module Run inventory checks. Upgrade moduleI find it quite hard and time-consuming to do this for each component. Are there any better/faster ways to upgrade a dark site?For example, download all the upgrades and perform only one inventory check?

I tried to use the precheck script on one of our Hyper-V servers.Everything works fine, but I get the error message ".... not a Domain Admin." even though my user is a domain admin. I think this might be related to the fact that the Domain Admins group is called "Domänen-Admins".Has anyone seen something like this before?

Hi, we are getting 100’s of copies of a simple PC report (a clone of one of the built in reports). It seems after time change on Sunday AM the reports w/ schedules seem to trigger an hour earlier than they should. So they then run over and over until the time actually triggers. For example:Daily Report scheduled for 7am, runs at 6am (over and over - 718 times last count) until 7am (it runs over a bit, eg. 7:05am which I assume is just it catching up w/ the que). I have deleted the reports, created brand new ones, setup new schedules, checked time on PC CVM (is correct). Tried to restart services/cluster stop/reboot, etc. Even tried updating PC to 2021.1.0.1 (which fixed a PDF reporting issue we had, but not this one).  Anyone else having this issue?

Are there ANY plans to expand on the PowerShell cmdlets at all, specifically for getting host info? They’re pretty bare bones. I don’t even know the last time the cmdlets were updated/expanded. It seems to me Nutanix regrets making them and hopes they will quietly die. I have relied heavily on PowerShell to keep tabs on a very large Nutanix environment running Nutanix on both AHV and ESXi. I’m talking 700+ nodes. The ESXi clusters are no problem getting the info from because I use VMware’s PowerCLI to supplement the lack of data I can get with Nutanix Cmdlets, but the AHV clusters are another story since I don’t have PowerCLI to fall back on. Can we at least get a cmdlet that will allow us to use PowerShell to initiate ncli or acli commands, like VMware does with the “Get-EsxCLI” cmdlet. That would be very helpful.

I want to configure a new AHV cluster with 10 Nodes, this would be the first time for me. I have little experience to install AHV on Bare metal, AOS, AHV installation, Network configuration etc. etc.Please share me some document so that i can able to install this. Hi Community,Version and model - NX-1065-G6I have a faulty DIMM in one node.  Memory | Uncorrectable ECC (@DIMMC1(CPU2)) | AssertedI would like to remove it from the node and restart it. i.e. Not to replace it with a new memory module.Is this possible? Risks? How should I configure the node with the missing DIMM, or is it something that Nutanix takes care of automatically? Any other advice? Recommendations?I found this document. Hi,We are planning to move to Nutanix in our organization. One of the application that is in the scope of this project is Splunk. We are a small environment and our Splunk data intake is around 30GB/day and the setup is mainly used as a SIEM.We have received a few recommendation to isolate Splunk to a separate cluster. Is this necessary, or can we have it on the same cluster if we could guarantee the availability of resources for it? The cluster will host a few application and some infrastructure component like AD and DNS.Are there any major benefits if we isolate Splunk in a different cluster?

Hi,I created a custom network(does not have internet access) in PC and assign it to an android vm but its fluctuating. It is not connecting to that network. (Also tried by creating  diffrent subent, same issuse ).While this issue occurs only in Android Vm, Not in Linux,Windows VM.Linux and Windows VM were easily connected without any issue.See GIF for more clarification.

NCP 5.10 Exam - Issues with PSI Video Streaming What are the ways to fix a denied - PSI Video Streaming - Denied check item that is needed prior to taking the Nutanix University Exam. I have issue withe just 1 item that is not passing(Denied) the compatibility check prior to taking the NCP 5.10 exam   Some times it passes but some times it does not.And because of this was unable to start my exam today.PSI Services LLC worked remotely with me but the compatibility check did not pass. Later in the day when I ran the check, It passes then few minutes laterit fails again. I don't have an issues with Zoom/Webex and many other applicationsits just this application, And I also can not get the PSI secure browser to start to installand can not find any info at which point this software gets installed?
