We’ve been recently exploring upgrading some code that interfaces with our Nutanix prism element from the v1 API to v3 and we are having issues retrieving the CVM from the v2 or v3 of the API.Looking at the response from the: /vms/ call on the v1 API we receive 10 total entries which include our CVM:v1 vms API resultv1 vms CVM resultYet when we make the equivalent API call on versions 2 or 3 we are only receiving 9 entries back and the result set does not contain the CVM:v2 vms API resultv3 vms API resultAfter searching through the API documentation nothing immediately stands out as an appropriate endpoint to get the CVM.  My question then is how do we retrieve the CVM when using the v3 or v2 API?

I have a 20+node cluster and 2 nodes had multiple hard drives go out between them ( 1 SSD and 6 SATA). They are all showing stuck. I do not see any replication happening when using this command: curator_cli get_under_replication_info summary=true.All nodes show up good when using this command:nodetool -h 0 ring | grep Normal Would it be a good idea to kill the tasks with this command:cvm$ progress_monitor_cli --entity_id="<Entity_ID>" --entity_type=<Package_Name> --operation=<Operation -delete 

Once we run out of the space while deploying new VM, why we need to Deselect Enable HA (it must be set within the limitations or Admissioin Control must restrict to deploy beyone the threshold), where the VM's going to reboot on other hosts (which will be a production impact)

Interested to test Nutanix Move on my CE installation in my lab. But I didn't found how to download it without registration on portal , that require real Nutanix serial number. How may I download Nutanix move? Please provide needed link.

Hi I’m new to nutanix with ESXi. I recently deployed a 4 nodes nutanix with esxi. I’ve created containers and add the nodes to the vCenter. I have not add the vCenter to the Prism. I check at prism and there’s a warning saying the hosts are not connected to vCenter. Anyone encounter this issue before?

Just a quick question about sizing SSD capacity to HDD capacity in a node (in a new homogenous cluster). When specifying drive space in a node, what is the percentage SSD to HDD per node at a minimum. Is there a best practice guide that someone can point me towards? I’m not asking about the number of HDDs vs the number of SSDs.The question is around capacity and not number or drives. e.g. I configure a node with 4TB of SSD (2x1.92TB) and 60TB of HDD (10 x 6TB) and Nutanix Sizer says this is fine. This is roughly 6.25% SSD But what should I have as a minimum SSD capacity of of a hybrid node is 6% Okay, or should it be more like 10% or 20% (or more)?

We get some questions from customer. Our customer have several Nutanix units with several models including:NX-1365-G4 NX-1365-G5 NX-8235-G4 NX-6235-G4 NX-8135-G4The question is whether HDD can be replaced with SSD? What is the procedure and what about the data on the HDD? Thanks

This might be an obvious question but I’m very new to Nutanix. When reading the deployment guide for Nutanix Files Analytics, it doesn’t explicitly say to enable Files on the cluster. I imagine this process will be two steps, the first making sure Nutanix Files is deployed prior to deploying File Analytics?

Is Prism Pro  necessary to use Nutanix Flow or can I  use Prism ?

We ran into a problem with a Nutanix File Server using SSR. (We never enabled it)We ran out of space for our profiles, and when we started deleting old ones the Snapshot grew, basically meaning we didn't clear any space at all.Some of the profiles that got deleted (robocopy script gone wrong) are actually needed. So we are going to restore those on a need basis. But, we need to remove the old ones still that are from users that are gone from the company. Is there a way to permanently delete them off the snapshot somehow?Please ask for clarifications if none of this makes sense. My Nutanix isn't strong.

We are in the Process of expanding our 4 Node Cluster to 6 Nodes. The Installation of the Hosts was successful using the Foundation VM. However, the servers have Nvidia cards installed, so we need to install the driver as well. When the Cluster is expanded with the 2 extra nodes, my understanding of the command “install_host_package” is, that it will install the drivers on all hosts, that have Nvidia cards. Even those, that already have the driver. To do so it will migrate the VMs and put the Hosts into maintenance. This is not an option for us, since the reason we are expanding the cluster is that the current cluster already is overloaded. I am looking for a way to install the drivers without interfering with the up and running environment. For example, is there a way to install the drivers before expanding the cluster?

HI all, I'm preparing a change on the cluster (6 node cluster running AHV). I need to re-ip cvm's and ahv's and add them to a specific vlan (now they are not in a vlan). Before I do this in production I decided to do this on the test lab. (old baby, 4 node G5). I've followed this guide: https://next.nutanix.com/installation-configuration-23/physical-relocation-of-nutanix-clusters-38403 but got stuck step 7 after booting the cvm's. The ouput of svmips shows the old cvm ip's but they are all booted with the new ones. (and accessible via ssh on the new ip's)The output of hostips shows the old ahv ip's byt the are all booted with the new ones. (and accassible via ssh on the new ip's). I must also say that the external_ip_reconfig script hangs at a specific time and now the command “cluster start” gives an error the the cluster is still in reconfigure mode. Anyone here who has the golden tip to get the command svmips and hostips to show the correct ip's?
