Hi

I recently deployed a pair of nutanix clusters with AOS 7.5 and the same version of Prism Central.

This customer uses veeam 13 and he have experienced some decrease in performance due to some issues between the AHV 7.5 and Veeam 13.

I’ve seen on this link from the veeam forum that the new PC 7.5.0.1 release is compatible with Veeam 13 and it may fix the performance issues.

https://community.veeam.com/blogs-and-podcasts-57/veeam-plugin-for-nutanix-advisory-on-nutanix-aos-7-5-12229

So now its time to upgrade Prism Central from 7.5 to 7.5.0.1 but when I perform an inventory on LCM trhough prism element or prism central I see no updates available (notice this is not a dark site).

Am I missing something??

thanks

You’re not missing anything. This is expected behavior.

Prism Central 7.5.0.1 is a patch release and it is not distributed through LCM as a standard upgrade. That’s why you don’t see it during inventory, even on a connected (non–dark site) environment.

To move from 7.5 to 7.5.0.1, the update needs to be applied manually. Nutanix typically provides these patch releases through the Support Portal, and they are installed using the Prism Central upgrade workflow with the provided patch bundle.

I recommend opening a Nutanix support case. They can confirm whether 7.5.0.1 is appropriate for your environment and provide the correct patch package and guidance. This is especially important since the upgrade is being considered to address a Veeam interoperability and performance issue.

Also note that Prism Central updates alone won’t change AHV behavior. If the performance issue is tied to AHV 7.5 itself, Nutanix support can help confirm whether additional fixes or AOS-side patches are required alongside the PC update.

Hope this helps clarify things.

Ok, but just for curiosity…. how long does it usualy takes since the release date to the date when the update is provided on LCM?
