The demo playbook works fine.https://www.nutanix.dev/2022/08/05/getting-started-with-the-nutanix-ansible-module/But I can’t find in the module documentation how to deploy VM  from a VM template just like we do with https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/community/vmware/vmware_guest_module.html ?Thx

Hello, I understand that if the node fails, the ha function is activated and attempts to recover. If one node fails in a Data Resilience Status Critical state due to a lack of storage space, will the cluster collapse? What happens.

Morning all!I have a 5 node cluster (5.20/ESXi7.0U3).  its about 4-5 years old.  Just got approval to upgrade and ordered a new 5 node cluster.Question:  Is it best to expand current cluster and remove a node at a time, or set up net new and migrate?Looking for suggestions and experience.Thanks in advance!TJ

HiAs Microsoft advise / Windows Server 2022 isn’t Legacy BIOS compatible anymore, i have to set up a brand new template using UEFI.However, if i tick “EFI” and Secure Boot from VM configuration or not, I can’t boot on my ISO at all. It still go to EFI Shell or in the UEFI Menu.I also tried to update VirtIO drivers directly into my Windows image (on install.wim and boot.wim on all indexes) but i can’t go so far in the installation part. Does anyone was able to use EFI settings with Windows Server 2022 ? If yes, what was your settings  ? 

Hello  Data replication, which was well done until yesterday, has stopped and is not progressing. Only one of the five scheduled schedules will be suspended. Note that the three entities that correspond to the schedule are excluded from the schedule for a while. After increasing the cpu and memory, I included it again. Is there any part or command I need to check? This is a dark site, so remote assistance is not available. Help me.

Hello,I would like to change the password expiration for a local user I have created in the prism element.I’ve tried to change it via the command:nutanix@cvm$ sudo chage -M <MAX-DAYS> admin I’ve managed to do that to the admin user, but when I change “admin” with my local user, It says that the user does not exist in etc/passwd. Is their any way of changing the password expiration for a local user that it is not “admin”.(The user is a cluster admin).

There are still many places where the old version is being used.Even if you try to install it with the previous version (AOS 5.10 or lower version) of the foundation on the G6 device to test the upgrade, it cannot be installed.Is it because all the firmware is up to date? It was the version that was originally installed. AOS 5.10 versions are not installed now?In foundation the log is "Device 2 :The Length of Name is not correct" The phrase continues to print. Please reply from those with experience.

My 3 node cluster consiting of 1065-G5 nodes is coming EOL this year.  I will be replacing the hardware with a NX-3360N-G8 cluster.  What is the recommended workflow for replacing the hardware?  One thing to note is the current cluster is licensed with Prism Pro and the new one will be licensed with Starter as I’m not using all the features in Prism Pro.Is the replacement as easy as expanding the cluster one node at a time, migrating the workloads and then removing the old cluster?  Will there be any hiccups with difference in licensing?

Hey guysI am reinstalling three Lenovo HX5521 nodes and I got stuck on the below errorFoundation IP not set. Try running the “set_foundation_ip_address” script on the desktopI'm running the foundation vm on the same subnet of the IPMI interfaces connected directly to an unmanaged switch, without VLANs or any other configuration. connectivity is perfect. I already reviewed all the settings and tried to reimage foundation using ESXi and AHV. Both result in the same error.Im running;Foundation_VM-5.2.2 AOS euphrates-5.20.3 LTS VMware-ESXi-7.0.1 or AHV-20201105.2244I've been trying to solve this problem for three days now, but so far I haven't found any clues. I am able to create a Move plan using the API and Ansible for migrating a VM from vSphere to Nutanix. However, I am unable to specify the guest credentials for the guest operations (like removing VMware Tools from the replicated vm during the migration) in the actual rest call (see code below) as is possible using the GUI. I cannot find any way in the API documentation on how to get the credentials into the request. We have our Nutanix 5 node cluster installed with VMware vSphere 7.0U3. RF=2 so I should be bale to withstand a 1 node failure. I would like to test the HA capability of VMware/Nutanix by taking a node offline abruptly and ensure everything works as expected before placing production workloads on it.I was thinking of placing a test VM on a node and then pulling the power cables and ensuring that VM is powered up on a remaining host.Does anyone have any better or preferred way to test HA?

I would like to ask a question: When we deploy object storage, the IPAM network segment should match the network segment of the cluster, such as the CVM. Is the host IP address in the same network segment?

For installing a Ubuntu Server Cloud image is it still required to customize it to add the serial port as described in a 2-year old article in this forum for installing Ubuntu Server Cloud.  Also do Ubuntu Server 22.04 OVA images work or must use .img? See: Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellyfish) [20230107]

Hi,I have two Nutanix clusters on different sites (one on each site) a few miles apart with 10GB low latency networking in place.I have setup a two node failover SQL Server cluster for HA on a single site, but I would like to add DR to the solution.I know Availability groups (and other options) are a good solution for this, but we can’t implement those at present and so I am looking for the ‘correct’ way to replicate the two node HA that we have (With it’s shared storage) across to the second site so that our front-end application will continue to function in the event of a site failure.Any tips or pointers would be very much appreciated!Thanks
