Hi.We are having no end of trouble with our backup software (druva) it basically keeps trying to talk on port 443 not 9440. Is there a way on a Prism element to be able to do some sort of rewrite so any traffic coming into the server incorrectly on port 443 can get rewritten to go to 9440 instead?

from cli whats the command to see which Nutatnix files VM owns a share? i’ve done this before and i cant remember what the command was we’ve had issues with copiers not being able to scan when we use the host name but it works fine with the IP

I am currently using Nutanix Calm API v3. After creating a crash-consistent VM recovery point using the POST endpoint /api/nutanix/v3/mh_vms/{vm_uuid}/snapshot and verifying that it exists on Prism Central, I attempted to revert the VM to this recovery point using the POST endpoint /api/nutanix/v3/mh_vms/{vm_uuid}/revert using the recovery point uuid in req body. The response has 200 status code but the task reference returned has task_uuid value of ‘something’. I also cannot see any alerts on PC indicating that the VM revert task has been attempted. May I know if anyone has experienced this issue before and how I might rectify this issue? Im not sure how to proceed since the API request appears to be successful. In particular, I would like to understand the circumstances under which Calm API returns tasks with uuid value of ‘something’. Thanks!

How to get Nutanix AHV VM bios UUID

I have attempted to create a VM recovery point on Prism Central and revert it from the recovery point. However, I am getting an info-level message that the recovery point is degraded and that the recovery Point for VM failed to capture associated policies and categories because the network name is not available for the VM.The VM revert task also does not seem to have been executed as there is no event confirming success. The VM is created from a blueprint that is part of a project with a configured VPC, and I have already verified that there are no issues in connection between PC and PE. May I know possible reasons for why this is happinening and how I might resolve this? I have consulted the link https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/kbs/details?targetId=kA00e000000CyDeCAK but it seems to be targeted at VMs running on ESXi, our VMs run on AOS/AHV. Thanks!

I have some questions about RF. Support we have a 5 node RF:2 cluster with ESXi virutalization tech. We want to let 2 VMs are only running on 2 nodes(Use affinity rule).My questions: For my understanding, there will be one local copy on these 2 nodes. And because of the design, VMs could contact local CVMs to access local copy. So the performance is good. But if this node is down, the remote copy may be in another 3 nodes. Will the performance become worse because we lost the access the path to access local copy?Thank you very much!

As Nutanix recommended connectivity is 10G but due to some ports availability issue we initially configured Nutanix cluster with 1G but now we are planning to change our Nutanix environment uplink to 10G, any advise will there be any impact or can you share the procedure to change uplinks to 10G. 

Greetings,In the Prism Element web console under the Hardware menu, there are drives on one of our nodes that are not showing up under the Diagram, but are showing under the Disk screen from the Table menu (see below).   As you can see, all disks are all online and confirmed via the CLI as well.  Our Nutanix versions are below.  I’ve restarted the Prism service for this node and still showed the same result.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

Is there an ETA for when NGT will add Rocky Linux support? This Reddit thread from August 2021 is the only reference I could find online suggesting that Rocky NGT support was being worked on. The NGT compatibility matrix lists Rocky as one of the OS vendors, but there are no approved OS yet.   Alma Linux (the other RHEL clone project) is already listed in the compatibility matrix, so I assume the delay in adding Rocky is not a technical one. Here’s what happens if I try to install NGT on a Rocky VM:rootin nutanixngt/installer/linux via 🐍 v3.6.8                                                              ➜ ./setup_python.sh -hPlatform type is: x86_64Unsupported distribution : rocky linuxERROR: Failed to install Nutanix Guest Tools. HiWe have a cluster running on AHV and have recently found that its not possible to host guest VMs running Hyper-V within them, as a layer 2 hypervisor.The scenario is we have a few Windows 2016 VMs running on ESXi at the moment and each VM has the Hyper-V role installed in Windows 2016, providing containers for Docker.We want to move the VMs to our Nutanix cluster but running Hyper-V within a VM is not a supported type of nested virtualisation.Support say there are only 2 types of nested virtualisation supported:  Credential Guard and WSL2.Docker is able to use WSL2 for containers as an alternative to Hyper-V but our problem is we need to stick to Windows because our apps are coded for Windows and our Dev team are not keen on re-writing everything!I’m looking for an unofficial workaround, is there a way to force AHV to allow in-guest layer 2 hypervisors to run?   Its possible on ESXi, it feels like there should be an option in the host’s BIOS to enable compatibility.Any ideas would be

I would like to ask for some help on identifying why I receive below error prior to installing Nutanix Community Edition on a HPE Gen9 Server. We want to install Nutanix Community v2.0 for some LAB testing on a single 1U server.Steps we have taken for the install.1. I have created a bootable disk on a USB with version: phoenix-ce2.0-fraser-6.5.2-stable-fnd-5.3.4-x86_642. After boot all looks OK and we are configuring the disks as below: Attached is "Disk_config.PNG" - This is what we have as a Disk. Only C is SSD. The 16GB is the Install Media.3. I accept the EULA and scroll to the bottom4. Here is where the issue appears. We receive an ERROR Please supply 'Serial Number'. I have checked in NEXT and online but no luck..5. When I hit Enter it goes back to EULA.I was able to install the same way when I do it on ESXI, but on bare metal it looks like we are failing some king of S/N check..

I’m testing Nutanix on an old server (1065-G5 generation). The connection between Prism and vCenter is registered, but not established.  I’m using AOS 5.20.4, ESX 7.0.3, NCC 4.5.0.2. The port 80 is opened and redirected to HTTPS. What could be the cause?
