I need to monitor Nutanix replication and one of the metrics is not having unprotected vms.Is there any way to list these VMs with nCLI or another command?

Sorry if I am asking a silly question. I would like to ask if I configured protection policy from Prism Central. I assume even PC is failed the replication should perform as is just that it would be appreciated if anyone could share some thoughts or documentation to support that.

I have started to code this but thought maybe someone might have already completed this. My issue is I have a windows server in AHV with 10 disk drives. When I get a call from my windows team to expand a drive they will give me the drive letter. However I cannot use that to map back to Nutanix AHV. So outside of coding a tool that will map these 2 systems is there a way to correlate what drive is what? I do not want to have to log into a VM every time I get this request if possible.

How to power on the CVM from AHV. It is showing power off  prism and power on option is greyed out.

Is there any kind of integration between Calm and VMware NSX-T? I would like to understand if there is the possibility to “completely automate” deployment of VMs (integration with vsphere) and network services.

We have a customer running AOS 5.10 with the newest version of LCM. For some reason, the AOS upgrades are not showed in the “updates” tab on the LCM software. The only thing that i do was run inventory (not runned since years). I understand there is an upgrade order… but i want to make sure if anything needs to be done to LCM shows this AOS upgrades.

I have a question about the new version NCC 4.X and AOS 5.20.X.When I upgraded the cluster from to AOS 5.20.2.1 from AOS 5.15. and NCC upgarde to 4.3.0.2. I found the the ping_hosts.INFO file in /home/nutanix/data/logs/sysstats has disappeared and I cannot check the latency between CVM every minute. There is only the ping_gateway.INFO file to check the latency between CVM and gateway. But there is also ncc alert that the inter_CVM_latency is high. So where can I check the detail latency information between CVM in the new verison?

I have a Nutanix AHV nodes and for the lab purpose i need to install F5 virtual appliance on this environment but i couldn’t get any guidence regarding the process of installing F5 virtual appliance on AHV.

Good day dearsI have 2 nutanix blocks, each 3 nodes , I have the following questions:I have vSphere license and I want to install it on the nodes, I only have prism element ( don`t have prism center) , should this work or I have to buy vCenter? While connecting the nodes to the same switch besides the firewall, should the switch be on access mode in order to Discover the nodes while using foundation, or I can segment the nodes through VLANS?

In the recent version of Prism Central, I am no longer able to configure per-VM affinity rules.  I now have to create global affinity policies based on categories.  I can see how this is helpful, but it also add a lot of complexity for basic affinity situations like this:I have two VMs dns1 and dns2 and a four host cluster.  The two dns servers should never live on the same host.  Super easy to do the old way.  But how do you do it this way?  Would I create a category called `DNS` with `primary` and `secondary` as values?  Then create one policy for primary that has host1 and host2 and create another for secondary with host3 and host4?What about a three-vm cluster?  How would you ensure they balance onto separate hosts?

Hi@AnishWalia20 ,As per previous query, there was no update for clone permission,But now , on current version of PC 2021.9.0.2 , clone permission is there for ad user, but my query here is to clone  other user’s vm or admin  created vm. This task i am executing via REST API V3 as per previous query.There is project A(having multiple users) with allow collaboration option, in which ,As a user-A,I am able to clone a vm created by user-B ,But cloned vm owner property is same as User-B.I want to change owner property also while cloning vm via api.After cloning, vm should be owned by user-A.Please let mr know if there is some method to do so.

I received this answer a few days ago[Just plug your VM on a VLAN where there is a router connected to the internet. Then either use DHCP if there is some, or configure an IP address and set your router as gateway. Dear nutanix, I made the exam with PSI online and it was the second time i do the same exam NCSE core and i got exactly the same score 2672 which was the total but the individual results were much higher atherefore I asked the protector to check and he didnt saying ask the tech support. could anyone help with this I am sure the category results were higher as well as the email sent was inclded only the percentage * all were higher than before but the results was like first time* any soltion please

Hello fellow Nutanix fans,We have a three-node cluster in a DR location. This DR cluster has less capacity than the primary site which has resulted in us exceeding the resilient capacity of the DR cluster.To remedy this situation, we decided to replace four 8TB HDDs with four 12TB HDDs in each node. Today we removed one drive from a node in Prism UI and waited approximately four hours before the system reported it was safe to remove the drive. During this time, Prism reported that data was lowering on the drive. The cluster showed about 700MB/s of throughput during this rebuild, which seems pretty really good for a cluster of this size. We removed the 8TB HDD and inserted the 12TB HDD. The rebuild did not initiate until we ran NCC. By default, NCC runs every 24 hours so, eventually the rebuild would have started but, we wanted to see it get started.We watched the rebuild run for a while after it got underway. The system is writing around 80MB/s to the replacement drive. Hey Guys, first time working with VMware installed on Nutanix.  I am getting ready to install 7.0.2u, but I need some clarification first.I am unable to find the correct Customized Dell Binaries for 7.0.2u from VMware. Even reached out to support and they are no help.  Every other version I can get the binaries for. Anyway I am just wondering is it required for me to use the 1 click upgrade in Nutanix to update my ESXi hosts or can I use update manager in vCenter?

Hi all!I’m writing a runbook with tasks that needs to use different endpoints from different Nutanix Projects. This seems to be impossible, so I want to check in with the community to see if I’m doing something wrong. :)I can create an endpoint without “assigning” it to a specific project, but this doesn’t matter since I have to define a project when creating a runbook. This means that I can only use endpoints that are assigned to the project the runbook is using.An endpoint can only be assigned to one project so assigning an endpoint to multiple projects is not an option.One possible (as well as very clunky and cumbersome) workaround would be to create identical endpoints for every project that needs access to it, but all endpoints must be uniquely named which makes this even more of a nightmare.Is what I want to do at all possible?Thanks.

I know this can be done with the NX hardware using the IPMITOOL utility pre-installed, but we’re starting to use HPE hardware and I wondered if anyone knew how to change the iLo administrator login password via cmdlet?  We’ve scripted this for NX line and looking to do the same with HPE’s as a part of our deployment scripting.
