Right now we about to push ESXi 5.5 u3b so we can move on up to AOS 4.7.3.2. Since Nutanix doesn't support pushing out patches, we planned to do that with VUM which is fine. At least saving time from having to bring down each node manually for upgrading to u3b. On top of patching, we're also installing NFS VAAI VIB. In our lab, we do it via command line, but has anyone found a zip, or package that VUM can support pushing out that way we can just package our baseline with updates and the VIB file? We can't find anywhere that has a zip file or anything we can leverage thus far. Since we have two data centers a good number of nodes in the cluster at each, We'd love to save time if at all possible, so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where do you put the ESXi ISO files so they show up in Foundation hypervisor list? Also, is this considered a bare metal install? Also, if using Foundation, where is a good guide for installing using ESXi as the Hypervisor (Field guide not much help). Thanks

Hi guys, Need some advice We are running a realy old version of ESXi 5,5 on our Nutanix cluster Nutanix support recommended the 1 click hypervsior upgrade and to get the json file The build number we want to go to is 4345813.. there is a json file for it on the website However on the Vmware website the latest offline bundle they have is build 3248547 which is from Decemeber last year Anyone know how I can get the offline bundle for 4345813? Nutanix support didn't know how to do it

Hi, I am new to Nutanix so would appreciate a bit of advice on importing a cluster into System Center Virtual Machine Manager. I have an existing Nutanix Hyper-V cluster which I want to manage via SCVMM. Has anyone got any advice in importing this into SCVMM and anything I should be aware of? Also, has anyone converted Standard switches to logical switches once the cluster has been imported or is that not a good idea? Thanks!

Dear Community, I have an issue. I'm installing a Windows 2008 standard (not R2 nor SP1) on a AHV cluster and then I need the virtIO drivers. It works fine for the iSCSI passthrough driver and the baloon. But the Networking adapter is failed. It says drivers are not signed and cannot be verified, I bypass the warning and then it says there is an error, driver corrupt blablabla. I have tried the latest Nutanix virtIO without any luck - whatever OS version, they all failed. any magic idea ? Thanks ;)

I have this same error on 3 nodes - I have checked networking / Time and connectivity and it all seems ok. Running ncc health checks on different services gives me a range of things to check. Not sure where to start with this. The Hosts are Hyper-V.

We recently had multiple Nutanix Blocks installed and I have started configuring them for Active Directory Authentication; however, logging on using AD Accounts is super slow and takes several minutes to logon. I have configured the Authentication to IP Addresses, FQDN's and DOMAIN but all are still unacceptably slow. ldap://192.168.1.1:389 ldap://server.domain.org:389 ldap://domain.org:389 For the Prism Role mapping, I have configured AD Groups and Single Users and the logon is still super slow. There was a post about change recursive authentication to be off; however, there was no command string associated with NCLI. Anyone experiencing this issue? Would like to know the best practice for configuration AD Authentication. Thanks for any assistance... David

I need to change the IPMI IP Address on 2 Nodes of a 4 Node Dell XC Block. I know how to change the IP from the iDRAC Console; however, how do I get it to update the Nutanix Node? I read through the Admin Manual; however, I could not find anything related to changing the IPMI IP Address. Thanks,David

I have a demo Nutanix NX-1020 with three nodes sitting on a bench in a lab environment. Each node is connected to a private 1G 8 port unmanaged switch (Netgear ProSAFE). Six ports are used for metadata traffic using a 10.0.0.xxx subnet. One port is connected to a wall port to access my companies network. I plug my laptop into the eighth port switch. 10.0.0.20-22 - CVM IPs 10.0.0.30-32 - AHV IPs 10.0.0.50 - Cluster IP I have one VM created with dual NICs. The internal NIC has 10.0.0.101 and the external NIC has 172.21.35.23 with the Subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the gateway of 172.21.35.1, but I cannot get access to the company network. Hello Nutanix I am currently in progress of deployment of Acropolis File Services (AFS) Everything has been going well until the "Can't contact LDAP Server" error occured I have given it a check by viewing some configuration on NVM and found out that although on Prism, they have been assigned with 2 IPs but actually running with only 1 IP when checked via console by ifconfig command (eth0 only) Let me make it clearer via the "topology" below: CVMs connecting to NVMs by Subnet A IPs Clients, AD and DNS servers should be connected to NVMs by Subnet B IPs Recently, those NVMs are running with only 1 Subnet A IP although on Prism, I saw they have already assign with both Subnets?! My block is running with AOS 4.7.2. I have also given some seaches around and seen that both Internal and External networks could be the same as described in this video?! Hello Nutanix Currently, my demo cluster has had problem in removing host from cluster The host that I wanted to remove has an SSD showing status: "Marked for removal but not detachable" and it has been kept by that status for a long time with nothing changed despite that the host was shown up as successfully removed the host So, after that I have tried reinstalling this host but that status still showing up and I cannot do anything with the new reinstalled host as well as expanding the cluster with it By the way, I noted that before reinstalling this host, this host was running as a cluster member

Can I move any VM from AHV 4.7 to ESX 5.5. is it possible?
