I am trying to execute a remote PS script in a windows server using the playbooks. Hi I deploy a 3 nodes cluster with ESXi 7.0 as the hypervisor successfully on AOS 5.15.3.But when I run the diagnostic.py to check the  cluster performance. It always failed to boot the diagnostic VM. I tried 3 times and all is same. from the log, seems the CVM cannot reache the diagnostic VM when check the boot status.I login to vCenter and check that there is no IP address for this VM in the summary page. And I can login the diagnostic VM from the VM console, I can check the ip address which is 192.168.5.253, but I cannot ping 192.168.5.254 and 192.168.5.1. also cannot ping 192.168.5.253 from CVM.From this information, I think the CVM cannot reache the diagnostic VM and timeout, so the diagnostic.py will fail after timeout. Is there any idear for this test? I can run thie script successfully in ESXi 6.7.

I have 20 clusters under management of our Prism Central and would like to know the versions of NCC installed in each. Is there a way to singularly collect this info across all PE clusters? Perhaps in nCLI even?

So guys I’ve got a flexlm license server running Windows Server 2019 that I am trying to use Move to migrate into my AHV cluster.  I tried migrating it once and it blew up the license server since I guess it builds a unique machine ID using a disk and perhaps CPU ID. Any idea on how to clone this in Move so when it comes across FlexLM and other license daemons are none the wiser?

Hi,I am implementing a Nutanix Cluster with Lenovo HX5520, when I register the Prism in vCenter the process appears as completed but I cannot create virtual machines by Prism Element and when running the NCC I return communication errors with the vCenter is not stabilized. I did the communication test of the CVMs with the vCenter on ports 80 and 443 and the connection worked successfully.  when checking by cli I see that the connection is ok, but it does not provide me with the settings of vcenter follows the difference from another implementation any idea what it might be?

I am moving virtual machines with Move 3.6.2 from Hyper-V to an AHV CE cluster. Everything goes well, but after the cutover the AHV VM is stuck at the ‘Press F2 for EFI boot manager’ screen and cpu usage around 52%. Pressing FN+F2, F2, CTRL+F2, ALT+F2 or other combinations have no effect. Please advise. Hyper-V host is Win2019, VM is 2019 with boot from bootmgfw.efi and secure boot disabled. Also tried with Edge, Chrome and IE, same result, stuck at ‘Press F2 for EFI boot manager’ screen.

We are currently evaluating Nutanix and also HYCU for backup. So far HYCU looks really good running on my CE lab server but there is one issue that they cannot answer to. For file restores on older recovery points (past the "Fast Restore" point), HYCU must copy the entire VM from the storage target and mount it to even start the search for a file. While for small VM's this my not be a big deal, larger VM's would cause a wait time based on your network connection to the storage target. For anyone using HYCU is this a concern to you? I'm very interested in hearing real world feed back here. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,I want to know what nutanix version can do replication or leap recovery plan with volume group (iscsi)? I currently use the CE version for testing ,my Nutanix CE and PC version are NUTANIX 20190916.276.I'm testing the iSCSI space of volume group mounted on Windows Server,then execute the plan of leap failure. However, after my windows server fails to DR, there is no iSCSI space on the windows server, and I do not see that the volume group is sync to DR.Is there a problem with my configuration, or is the CE version not supported at present?Has anyone ever done this test?Thanks.

These days I’m managing, for one of customer, the migration of its virtual infrastructure to a Nutanix AHV farm from an old ESXi. It has some old VMs, with Windows XP as guest OS, that have to be migrated in Nutanix. Those VMs have installed custom software that cannot be installed in newer versions of Windows because they have been written in old VB6, so my question are:Can they be migrated over AHV? If yes, can I manage the migration with Nutanix Move or there is another way?

HiI have installed 3 Nodes successfully nested on ESXi 6. the cluster and all nodes services are up. Was able to connect to prism and changed the default admin password. unable to login with new password.... prism keeps on showing "server error" If anyone was able to resolved this... pls help

Hello all, i have nutanix 3460 g7 4 nodes and also have disk and tape drives for backup and archival. to make it short is there any way that i can connect the disks and tape drives to the nodes so that i can make automatc backup and archival?

Hi All,Just after some advice.  I’ve run the default ‘Four Corners Microbenchmark’ against 2 x identical All Flash clusters and I get very different results and not sure why.The average random read IOPS differ by around 60k, and the random write IOPS around 10k. I know running the test on both clusters will not provide an exact match, but these results appear very different.  Please note these are both 2-node clusters, both are identical in specification so not sure if this matters.I also get the same on 2 x identical 6-node Hybrid arrays, random read IOPS differ by 200k and random write IOPS by 40k!The same X-Ray appliance was used on all clusters, using the default settings in the test itself.Just after a possible explanation to these queries, if somebody could be so helpful.Thanks very much.

Just curious how other users running AHV plan their ad disaster recovery?  AHV does not support VM-Generation ID so it looks like the most straight forward method not including additional software would be to use the builtin server backup to backup and restore at least the server with the fsmo role.  I wonder what happens in a protection domain scenario especially if there are multiple servers.  Seems like there could be usn rollbacks issues.  Any input on how others are doing it would be appreciated since the documentation seems to be scarce for AHV.

Replication was skipped as a newer snapshot was available.---I executed cli on CVM, replication statuses are “Sending” .---$ncli pd list-replication-status Replication Operation     : Sending And I did “Test Connection” on Prism was “OK”. What do you think this reason? Sincerely,

Can I do that Hypervisor ISO file there ?・What difference are metadata(json)  each ? ・Use Hypervisor ISO file of Evaluation version, is it OK?・ISO's language adapt any languages? or English only? Sincerely,
