PC vm hostname change

1- do you mean the name of the prism central that shows in the cluster (cluster name )or actually the name it shows in the list of the VM on top of the hypervisors?
-for hostname you have the command :change_cvm_hostname
for changing the display name (the way VM is listed):change_cvm_display_name (the CVM name should always start with NTNX- and end with -CVM)

2-for moving VM  disk in an AHV cluster  I think the following article should apply(How to move VMs between containers within an AHV cluster) , unless for PC could be different which I doubt

if this is your production environment I suggest you open a case with support as changing on production system could impact something which we do not have visibility to it :)

We are trying to change the hostname of the prism central. i.e the name that list outs when we run hostname command on the Prism Central.

that should be done by change_CVM_hostname but again, if it is production environment always involve support :)

Involve support on this matter. Prism Central uses a lot of volume groups and not only disks.
