Move can be downloaded from the markerplace in prism central. (yes this means, installing prism central, enable marketplace, download move)

Not possible on nutanix CE. For CE internet connection is mandatory. 

Hi ​@DenizArmagan  I have performed a lot of migration from esxi to ahv and I'm pleased to assure you that  we have never faced issues.

And it's almost without a downtime.

Prepare your source and destination clusters.

Prepare your vms.

And you should be good to go, however you can have a look on the Migration limitations  Nutanix Move Migration Limitation

You shouldn't be concenrened if you have a regular servers Linux windows database web rdp etc

Sometimes with older versions of OS you can face some Compatibility issue but always there's a solution.

Please note that there are multiple ways to migrate :

You can use a 3rd party backup solutions to exports or restore the vms on your destination cluster.

There's also a Vhdx microsft tool to virtualize the vm hard drive and import it to Nutanix images!

We have just finished our VMWare Migration into Nutanix and overall it was seamless. We were able to move close to 400 VMs in the space of 2 weeks.

The only things that happened that we did not forsee was:

1. For RedHat 9 VMs, sometimes they can fail to find the boot drive. This is due to virtIO drivers missing from the machine, so I recommend checking if you have redhat machines that they have the VirtIO Drivers installed before migration. (For some reason the move tool did not flag the driver was missing as part of the prechecks)
2. We had two servers that have huge rates of data change, despite the delta sync being every 30 minutes, those workloads still took 12 hours to do the file data copy. If I am in that position again, those VMs with high rate of data change would be done on the weekends
3. In addition to taking a long time for the final data copy, one thing worth knowing is that after you migrate the VM, MOVE needs to clean up the final snapshot it took, since those snapshots were so large, it took a long time for move to cleanup those snapshots and while that is happening, you can’t roll back, we found that out the hardway
