Subnet Mask defaults to /32 (255.255.255.255) in "Deploy VM from Template" — intentional or bug?

Running pc.7.5.1.6.

We have a Guest Customization Profile (Guided Setup, Windows Sysprep) with Network Settings set to "Provide during deployment". When deploying a VM from a template using this profile, the Subnet Mask field in the Network Settings section pre-fills with 255.255.255.255.

We looked through Prism Central for somewhere to change this default but couldn't find a setting for it.

If left as-is (only filling in IP and Gateway, assuming Subnet Mask might not need touching), the VM actually comes up with a /32 subnet mask applied — not just placeholder text, it's a real configured value that gets used. This breaks connectivity since the host believes it's the only one on the subnet.

Is this /32 pre-fill intentional, or should it default to something more sensible like /24 (or just be left blank/required)? Wondering if this is a known bug worth reporting via support, or if there's a reason for it we're missing.

Anyone else hit this on 7.5.x?
