Trying to migrate a Server 2008 R2 server, and when I try to do a manual migration and run the script on the server, its saying its not running a supported OS. Support is trying to help, but we really aren’t getting anywhere, and I’m running up against a hard deadline to get this server migrated.
Hello everyone, I have been trying to deploy Nutanix CE 2.0 in VMware vSphere - I am using 3 VMs and the idea is to make a lab environment to test the services that Nutanix offers. I hit on a rock with the creation of the cluster. First I noticed not enough CPUs were allocated for the CVMs, I now have 4 vCPUs for each CVM, the storage is 64 GB, 200 GB and 500 GB for each VM. My services weren’t coming UP and I got error from Medusa service about a Cassandra failure. I checked that an NTP server problem may be behind this error. I wanted to destroy the cluster in order to start again and add an NTP server to the cluster itself. Well, I am stuck now on “Destroy is in progress on the nodes: [cvm1, cvm2, cvm3 ip addresses] for more than 4 hours. I cannot either start the cluster, now that it is in “stopped” state, I cannot cancel the destruction and I cannot create any new clusters… Some services are still staying UP like Zeus, Xmount, Scavenger, but the others are DOWN. I tried various co
Is it possible using the API to restore a backup from Hycu? We are looking set up a job that can restore a database backup to another SQL instance using the API and a backup in Hycu
1. What happens if a dark site can't import CSF files and therefore can't convert licenses? 2. If I don't currently have PCs installed in my cluster or have a low AOS version that prevents me from applying a new license, is converting my license for now the right way to go? 3. I have a cluster configured with NX-3060-G6 NBL licenses. In this case, for the G6 equipment, the EOSL is known to be until January 31, 2020. Are these licenses not extendable or renewable? 4. Conversely, if the CBL expires by January 31, will it be possible to renew or convert to 2.0 without any restrictions? There's a lot I don't know about converting licenses.
What is the relationship between ntnx0 and the Backplane LAN? I’m running CE with 1 node, but plan to add a second at some point. When I attempt to configure the Backplan LAN I get the error: Error while creating Backplane LAN: Failed in cluster setup validation with error Minimum 3 nodes required in cluster Do I need 3 nodes to investigate how the Backplane LAN works? Really looking for how to isolate ntnx0 in a VLAN on br0 separate from AHV and CVM management network (VLAN).
Hello, I've already created a cluster using the command cluster -s x.x.x.x create and I'd like to add a second node to this cluster. I've also seen that some people have an “expand cluster” tab in the hardware section of prism element, but I don't have it. If anyone has encountered or knows this problem, I'm interested in the solution I'm available if you have any further questions or need supplements, thank you in advance for your help.
Hello,Just wanted to know if anyone else here experienced this issue where the host in my single node cluster is not schedulable. Here is the output from acli host.get nutanix@NTNX-CVM:~$ acli host.get REDACTED 172.xxx.x.xx { cpu_usage_ppm: 0 host_overhead_bytes: 0 logical_timestamp: 1 max_mem_ha_reserved_bytes: 0 mem_assigned_bytes: 0 mem_usage_bytes: 0 memory_size_bytes: 0 node_state: "AcropolisNormal" num_cpus: 0 pool_size_bytes: 0 schedulable: False uuid: "REDACTED" } Initial issue I had was that I cannot power-on the VM due to this error: NoHostResources: No host is schedulable: 14 And after checking this host scheduling thing is what I thought of the culprit on why I cannot power-on my UVM. Already the following: 1. Enter/exit maintenance mode2. Restart the CVM / AHV Host Also noticed that the Prism element Hardware tab shows 0 usable CPU/RAM capacity on this AHV host. I use the version 6.8.1 and it is installed as a VM in an ESXi host.
Hello, How can I check the recycle bin in Nutanix v5? I’m facing a space issue with the default container. When I delete a VM, the available space in the container doesn’t seem to change. Regarding the snapshot files, I have snapshots that I can’t delete located in the path /default-container-/.snapshot.
