No that is not possible. What is possible is changing the bios uuid.  (acli vm.update <vm_name> bios_uuid=#######

Can you expain why you want to change the vm uuid? Is it for data protection purposes? Or for backup purposes?

This is only when AHV is used. As far as I know it can be done in ESXi.
