Hi Folks,I have NX-8170-G10 configured with 1x 2port 10G copper, 2x 2port 25G Fibre NICs. I need to make the following configurations.1x 2 port Copper : Active-Backup e.g. br0-up1x 2 port Fibre : Active-Active (balanced-tcp) in LACP 1 e.g. br0-up11x 2 port Fibre : Active-Active (balanced-tcp) in LACP 2 e.g. br0-up2I have the followig questions.Do I need seperate Bridge for each uplink I used the following commands on AHV for creating the uplink, but I am getting warnings on Prism Element ovs-vsctl add-bond br0 br0-up2 eth4 eth5 ovs-vsctl set port br0-up2 other_config:lacp-fallback-ab=true ovs-vsctl set port br0-up2 other_config:lacp-time=fast ovs-vsctl set port br0-up2 bond_mode=balance-tcp ovs-vsctl set port br0-up2 lacp=active and the same commands for br0-up1
Hi everyone!Recently, a client challenged me to integrate their Nutanix clusters into their existing Prometheus and Grafana stack. While I’ve found solid integrations for Nutanix Objects and Kubernetes environments, the path to extracting granular metrics from Prism Element (PE) and Prism Central (PC) seems less straightforward for standard infrastructure.I’ve been reviewing the classic community post “MONITORING Part 3/4 Metrics and Prometheus and Grafana”, but since it’s now 5 years old, I suspect APIs and available exporters have evolved significantly.I’d love to hear from the community: Is anyone currently running this setup in modern production environments? Are you relying on third-party exporters (like Cloudflare’s) or leveraging API v3/v4 directly? In your opinion, have the latest Prism Central native APIs made Prometheus redundant for infrastructure-level monitoring? Any insights, updated documentation, or "lessons learned" you could share would be invaluable in helping me
I am installing the latest Nutanix CE from USB onto an HP DL380 G9 with 160GB Ram & 3 new 1TB SATA drives.CE Loads and runs incompletely. instsvcdrv.service: Control Process exited, status=155. Please point me to what the actual issue is. TIA.
Hi everyone,Has anyone here worked with Nutanix in a PCI DSS environment? I have a few questions and would love to hear from people who have been through it.- How did you separate PCI workloads from other workloads in your Nutanix cluster?- Did you use Nutanix Flow for network segmentation? Did it work well for PCI?- How did you handle logging to meet PCI DSS requirements?- Any issues with patching AOS / AHV while staying compliant?- Did your auditor (QSA) already know Nutanix, or did you have to explain the platform to them?Any tips or lessons learned are welcome. Thank you!
Curious if anyone else is seeing the eventlog getting spammed constantly with Event ID 1035 after NGTools is installed on Guest VM machines.Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application
Is there any docker image for Nutanix Enterprice AI? so that I can run on my linux machine? Tutorials show that there some iso file that i need to install on bare metal. But is there any container sort of thing that I can run on top linux machine? instead of installing nutanix Os itself

I have changed the ip addresses of AVH machine now I want to change the CVM ips as well (in the same ip range of the AVH) but I am not able to do so. Not able to access the CVM Can anyone guide ?
I'm trying to use foundation to install Nutanix on a R730, but it doesn't properly map to the R730 when it starts the prechecks in Phoenix. It maps to a Lenovo device. I've check the hardware and software compatibility guides, and have the correct versions.
Hello, I'm trying to install Nutanix CE on my workstation. I keep getting “error 1155 could not create tmpvol.bin” and “Failed to create tmpvol”. I've already tried it on two different PCs and with different HDDs and SSDs. I tried it with UEFI and with legacy Bios. What could be the cause of this error? Thx.
Trying to deploy the latest CE image (phoenix.x86_64-fnd_5.6.1_patch-aos_6.8.1_ga) on a VMware Workstation 25 machine, the VM is being deployed with the recommended hardware (8 cores, 32Gb, 3 drives (64, 200 and 500). The machine I’m deploying on is a minipc with i9 16 cores, 64Gb Ram and plenty of free NVMe space so its not a resource issue. I see some other similar posts asking the same question but they looked to be using machines that didnt have sufficient ram to support the VM running with 32GB. I’ve tried turning the compatibility down to workstation 17.x but that’s made no difference.I’m getting the following error, I’ve looked through the log file but there doesnt appear to be anything obvious that is causing the issue. Thanks in advanceJohn
need to setup on-prem VM setup with our Hardware which is the best one.

In our Nutanix environment we have windows cluster with nodes having os 2016 using volume group for sql and file server. Now we are planning for windows os upgrade from 2016 to 2022.We are planning to create new cluster with windows 2022 nodes and mount the same volume to this new cluster. If it is feasible or not. Any one help on this
Hello Community, we have to set up a cluster with CISCO 220C M8 Rackservers. In Nutanix Documentation I saw two methods:UCS Manager (Foundation VM) ISM Standalone (Foundation Central)But customer does not have got any of these management solutions. In Foundation VM I can see two options:Cisco (install via UCS Manager) Cisco (install without UCS Manager)Does the second option mean that I can do a foundation standalone like other servers (HPE, DELL, ...)? Thanks in advance, kid regards, Thomas
Hello All,I am looking for documentation latest field deployment guide for Cisco Nutanix deployment using intersight. Is there way to eliminate vcenter server in any of the latest PC which is used for deployment of cisco nutanix cluster. Thanks in advanceThejesh
Is it mandatory to deploy Prism Central for a new Nutanix 3 nodes Deployment? is there any feature or function cannot be done on Prism Element E.g. License renewal etc
Hello Team,Need assistance.I have installed AHV cluster of a 2 nodes on the Dell-PowerEdge R640 hardware. The AHV and cluster were installed successfully and all the services are up and running. (able to access the UI And login too)When the clusters are installed I tried to install the Prism element on top of the AHV cluster but that fails.when tried to troubleshoot found out that the host is utilizing maximum memory (almost 126gb out of 128 gb)Due to this unable to install the prism element.Below are the details of the packages - ( all are in whitelist)AHV v.10.3.0.2, 10.3.1.1AOS Version - 7.3.0.6, 7.3.1.1Prism Version pc.7.3.0.6

Hi everyone,I’m trying to download the latest version of Nutanix Community Edition (CE), specifically v7.1 or newer (ideally matching AOS 7.3). However, I can only find the download link for CE v6.8.1 on the official portal.Does Nutanix still offer CE versions aligned with AOS 7.x (e.g., 7.1, 7.2, or 7.3)? If so, could someone please share the correct download link or guidance on how to access it?Thanks in advance!

I have a test 3-node Nutanix cluster. Just starting to learn. They are NX G9s. Each node has 4x25GB ports, but during installation only 2 were configured. Is it possible, or even best practice, to islolate the storage traffic from the VM traffic? Ie, maybe configure the unused 2 ports as another vSwtich and run the distributed fabric over that? If so, even possible to do this after install? Apologies for any misunderstandings.
I create a 3 node cluster on top of ESXi for lab. assign 3 nic in each node. After cluster build by default 4 nic attach with switch vs0. When i remove 2 nic from the vs0, it automatically hypervisor rolling restart. How can i remove 2 nic form vs0. I tried from cli but result same.
