Can default vswitch vs0 be renamed on a new AHV 7.5 cluster? The only VMs on the cluster are the controller VMs.

Hi, jeremy_waldrop

I was told that changes are possible during external training.

However, the AHV networking best practices state that "you should not change the name of the virtual switch vs0."

https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=AHV-Admin-Guide-v11_0:ahv-acr-nw-best-practices-c.html

I'll try to verify this in a CE environment when I have time.

Thanks,

LMohammed

Hi @jeremy_waldrop
You can create a new switch with your preferred name, then link the interfaces that you want, after that migrate from vs0 to your new created virtual switch.

However, in my point of view keep the vs0 dedicated to cvm traffic and create another vs for production traffic.
