Howdy,I wanted to verify what was required for my renewals.I got the below certifications:NCA: NCA: Nutanix Certified Associate 5.20 (08/31/2022)NCA: NCA: Nutanix Certified Associate 6.5 (09/06/2022) NCP: NCP-MCI - Nutanix Certified Professional 6.5 (11/15/2022) Am I correct in understanding that the 6.5 certifications will expire 2 years after the completion date (so 9/6/2024 and 11/15/2024)?  If so, that means that I basically need to retake the same two exams? Thanks!

I have got today my NCA Certification and received one e-mail with some info. There are some actions the email ask to follow like:In the meantime, you can Be on the lookout for an email from Credly’s Acclaim system to accept your digital badge Claim your reward points on Nutanix Connection https://www.nutanix.com/nutanix-connection – Nutanix Customers can redeem points for great Nutanix prizes Visit the NCP/NCAP Certification store at http://store.nutanix.com for shirts, mugs, and more I have already received the email from Credly with my digital badge and it is okWhen I try to connect to the Nutanix Connection, I receive the message:  Unfortunately, you do not have access to this hub. I am new on this and I have a doubt. Do the Nutanix Connection is only for Customers? I am a part of one Organization that is a Nutanix Partner and not a Nutanix Customer. Can someone, please, make this clear to me? Thank you

Hi Nutanix Peeps, I am new in HCI technology and would like to seek your insights on how to configure native VLAN in the Nutanix Environment. The plan was to remove the default VLAN (Data Traffic) to all Cisco access switches therefore removing it will also require to configure new native VLAN in the trunk link between the switches and Nutanix Hosts. Any help would be pretty much appreciated. Thank you so much!

What is the link to download Nutanix Exam certificates. Earlier there was a link on https://partners.nutanix.com/ which doesn’t work now. Credly.com doesn’t contain pdf certificate. Please suggest.

i want to migrate VMs from ahv to ahv in the same cluster (let say from node A to node B) but the VMs status is powered off, in my case i dont want to powered on the VMs, i just want to migrate the VMs to another host without powered it on(live migrate). is there any workaround to do that ?Thank you all

Hi,Does Nutanix AHV allows to deploy VMDK (VMware) or VHDx (Hyper-V) file format VMs in nutanix cluster without converting it to a nutanix supported format?

Hi,Title was of course 2402/2430, not 2404/2430 🙃Having an issue in my home lab… The issue at handI had Nutanix CE2 running on this machine for more than a month. However, due to odd crashes and false positives with disconnect issues on the vs0 configuration (I guess), I figured I would attempt a complete reinstall, having used DP to backup all VMs to another Nutanix CE2 setup. I believe I made a configuration error at some point. However, re-installing with all the exact same devices and settings, I’m faced with this:InstallerVM timeout occurred, current retry 0Please take a look at installer_vm_*.log inside foundation logs to debug hypervisor installation issuesAfter which it will restart the process.I’ve found somewhere near 2 other examples of this, stopping at the same progress [2402/2430], but I can’t figure out the solution.Maybe someone can tell me how to actually find that installer_vm_*.log, as I couldn’t find it anywhere. The SetupMotherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VHDCPU: AMD Ryzen

How to identify which NIC 1 NIC 2 etc or eth0 eth1 eth3 and eth4 on physical side. in my case, i want to configure the network active-backup and how to identify which port is eth1 or eth2 either on physical view or prism element dashboard  thank you

I need to migrate a FSVM file server cluster from my older Nutanix cluster to a new cluster. It sounds like there are several options for migrating my file shares that I have listed below. Have you done any of the options below and what would you recommend? 1) Protection domains (Entire FSVM cluster, moves IPs)2) Smart DR (Per Share, moves IPs and updates DNS)3) MOVE > (Per Share, new DNS, and manually update file share configs)  4) Something else? Any insights or experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

Good Day,I am writing to express my deep frustration with the service I have received regarding my exam rebooking request. More than 24 hours ago, I initiated a request to reschedule my exam, but to date, it remains unresolved. This delay has significantly disrupted my preparation for the exam, and I am extremely disappointed with the handling of this situation.According to your policy, rebooking must be done at least 24 hours before the exam, which I complied with. However, it seems that your team has been using delay tactics to ensure that the rebooking window expires. This practice is not only unprofessional but also unfair to customers who rely on timely support. The email correspondence below shows a clear record of my timely request and the subsequent delays caused by your team. PSI Online has redirected me to university@nutanix.com, and vice versa, leading to a frustrating cycle with no resolution. It appears that there is a lack of coordination and understanding within your team

Hi AllI have recently inherited an old (el7.nutanix.20201105.30281 is the version maybe?) 4-node Nutanix cluster and very soon after first looking at it and raising myself some tasks it has decided to stop working! I do not have support (turns out that expired a couple of months ago) and while I do intend to resolve that situation I just need to get the thing back online ASAP as it runs some critical servicesThe initial problem was caused by one of the nodes running out of inodes on the root disk. I cleared this down (it was just a LOT of emails in the spool) but the prism console was not available afterwards. Had a quick look online and restarted genesis (allssh 'genesis restart') off the back of that but it did not helpThe problem seems to be with zookeeper, in zookeeper.out I just see a lot of this2024-06-24 15:51:33,093Z:26630(0x7f4343398700):ZOO_INFO@zookeeper_interest@1926: Connecting to server 10.6.232.32:98762024-06-24 15:51:33,093Z:26630(0x7f4343398700):ZOO_INFO@zookeeper_inte

Hello, Is there a guide on how to increase CVMs CPU resources (cores) after deployment to accommodate additional enabled features or increased load? Thanks!

Dears:We will do “Test Failover” in Prism for a recovery plan. My question is: How to know "Test Failover" brings which recover point for Disaster Recovery (formerly Leap)? The latest available recovery point? The first available recovery point?

Hi all, greetings from me🙋🏻We scheduling to upgrade the AHV and AOS to the latest version, but i have some questions as below :1. could direct upload (dark site) method upgrade the bundle files at the same time or it should perform one by one bundle files upgrade, in this case is AHV and AOS bundle files ?2. if we upgrade it sequentially, what happen after one of the software is upgraded ? will it trigger an alert ? because what i know is the AHV and AOS version need to be same (compatible). regardless, after that we will still upgrade the version to a compatible version.i already read this documents, In the document, it is not explained that we can upgrade AOS and AHV at the same time using direct upload method; it only explains each component separatelyhttps://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Life-Cycle-Manager-Dark-Site-Guide-v2_4:Fetching%20LCM%20Software%20Update%20Bundles%20with%20Direct%20UploadThank you, I hope to receive the best answers from all of you who

Hi,I used calm vm 3.7.2.2, it worked fine for a couple of days but now I receive error when deploy a blueprint and also when I tried to delete or soft delete the existing one.Nothing logged.

I posted last year about moving PC from a non-nutanix cluster running ESX to a nutanix cluster running ESX but we didn’t do the work at the time.  Now the goalposts have moved a little, or will be and I think things will be a little bit more complicated! So to recap;currently PC (pc.2022.6.0.9) runs on a non-nutanix cluster ESX 7.xwe have 2 nutanix clusters running ESX 7.xwe will be purchasing a new cluster which we intend to run AHV onwe will then migrate all the VM’s from the two nutanix esx clusters to the new AHV clusterwe will possibly also be migrating our native Azure VM’s to Nutanix NC2 in Azure.  We want to move our current PC to the new AHV cluster once its purchased. So the question is how? I was thinking of using MOVE. AIso note we AREN'T running microservices on our PC

Morning All, I’ve just commissioned a new cluster using AOS 6.8.0.1 in an air-gapped environment. Prism Element and Prism Central only shows storage in “physical” capacity and usage etc. I’d ideally like the logical view available also, anyone seen this before, is there an easy fix? Thanks in advance

Tried getting there from “Files” link in main demo.nutanix.com portal, or from the “Files Console” link underneath Files.  This doesn’t affect Files Analytics or Data Lens, except any links that take you to the Files Console will prompt. The admin creds provided don't work.

I have just completed the initial deployment for the Nutanix-CE on a Single Node. Upon running cluster status command i see several services are down. Attached is a log, can anyone point me in the right direction.  nutanix@NTNX-6c98f74b-A-CVM:10.0.250.91:~$ cluster -s 10.0.250.91 --redundancy_factor=1 create2024-05-30 03:12:58,346Z INFO MainThread cluster:2943 Executing action create on SVMs 10.0.250.912024-05-30 03:13:01,416Z INFO MainThread cluster:1007 Discovered node:ip: 10.0.250.91        rackable_unit_serial: 6c98f74b        node_position: A        node_uuid: 56b8d0d2-5fb8-4f69-9630-3b2c8a3938b22024-05-30 03:13:01,416Z INFO MainThread cluster:1025 Cluster is on arch x86_642024-05-30 03:13:01,417Z INFO MainThread genesis_utils.py:8077 Maximum node limit corresponding to the hypervisors on the cluster (set([u'kvm'])) : 322024-05-30 03:13:01,424Z INFO MainThread genesis_rack_utils.py:50 Rack not configured on node (svm_ip: 10.0.250.91)2024-05-30 03:13:01,425Z INFO MainThread cluster

Hi Everyone, Does anyone have output of below two OS commands of RHEL 9 machine in Nutanix prism central. lsscsi --scsi_id sfdisk -d /dev/sda I don’t have any RHEL 9 test VM in my prism just wanted to know the output to play around some project. Quick help is appreciated.

Hello folks,There is a requirement to configure Oracle RAC in a Nutanix environment. The hypervisor will be used with AHV, and license it plan to use is NCI Starter. It appears to be possible to implement this by using the Nutanix Volumes functionality to reference the Shared Disk as an iSCS target to the internal Guest OS.In the past, there was no cost for internal use with Nutanix Volumes, but now with the new license format, will an additional NUS license be required? Or is a separate NUS license not required for internal use?https://www.nutanix.com/products/cloud-platform/software-optionsFrom this link, it looks like that's not necessary.. Thank you

I have expanded the existing block by adding two 1065-G8 nodes, each equipped with three HDDs and two SSDs. However, the new nodes, along with the HDDs and SSDs, are not being recognized, and there appears to be no power supplied to them. I am currently seeking Nutanix documentation on hardware installation but have not found relevant information yet. any idea?

Hi Everyone,In case of scenario like had a Source VM (name:TestVM) and cloned a new VM from the source VM and named cloned VM (name: TestVM) same as Source VM (name:TestVM). Now will i be able to poweron both the VM’s at once ?
