EUC Ultimate Missing Intelligent Ops

Greetings.  We recently inherited a site that has an active subscription of EUC Ultimate licenses.  However, after deploying Prism Central and applying the license, Intelligent Ops was disabled and it’s saying it’s not included in EUC Ultimate license.  We’re confused as we were under the impression that EUC Ultimate included NCM Starter, which should have Intelligent Ops functionality.  Are we misunderstanding that or simply incorrectly applying the EUC Ultimate license to Prism Central?

Thanks,

Spoke with the account team EUC Ultimate is just the infrastructure portions, similar to NCI.  EUC does not have an equivalent NCP bundle that includes both Infrastructure and Cloud Management so you must acquire NCM licenses separately.  They apparently have a “NCM for EUC” SKU that you then pair with your EUC Ultimate license and bind to the specific cluster(s) the EUC license is applied to.

I would recommend reaching out to there account manager. If they don’t have an account manager, then reaching out to the sales team.

Looking at the licensing page: https://www.nutanix.com/products/cloud-platform/software-options#vdi

(I am assuming the EUC is referring to the VDI), That everything in VDI Ultimate includes everything from NCI Ultimate.

You best bet here is to engage directly with Nutanix.
Maybe it’s an old license type that needs to be converted over.

I’d be keen to hear the outcome

Hey osburnm,

This is a great question!

Any time reporting is needed through Intelligent Operations in Prism Central, at least some flavor of the minimum NCM licensing is required to unlock the feature.

Below is a link to the Nutanix feature set entitlement break down.  As the options are fairly extensive, we recommend you connect with your Nutanix account team, (as you did), who should have detailed knowledge of your deployment and use case to help point you in the right direction.

Hope this makes sense.  🤓
