I would like to know what the root cause for this Warning Alert. It occurs on the day i was patching the LCM to version 2.7.1 . The Warning alert is Maximum supported HDD/Total capacity installed on hybrid nodes. Configured memory does not support the total capacity installed on NVMe nodes. I have ran the ncc health_checks system_checks dense_node_configuration_checks and result is:Detail information for dense_node_configuration_checks Node <Cluster Virtual IP>Warn:Node 97186 with 32GiB memory cannot support the HDD capacity of 70.96TiB. Hello! We are trying to export a VM as OVA file, but when the process rearch near 90% completed the “NO LEFT SPACE ON DEVICE” error appears. What could be wrong here? Regards.
Dears:I know currently, there are one setting for remote site called “Compress on Wire”. But I cannot find any related setting in PD-based DR.Here I want to ask: Could PC Disaster Recovery (formerly Leap) support replication compression?Thank you very much!
We had a question regarding Cisco ACI feature called “IP Dataplane Learning”, whether we should disable it or leave it enabled
I have a pro licensed cluster, need to apply license to prism central , how to apply license to prism central
We have applied liences on the cluster but about nutanix page showing unlicensed, but in prism central and lecense page it is showing pro, how to fix about nutanix unlicensed
Hello. I have questions about node failure in AHV. (I assumed that all resources for rebuilding are enough.)3 Node cluster with RF=2 1 node was failed. And after that rebuild task was finished. In this situation, Does cluster status or data consistency fine if 1 more node failed ? (It is mean that only 1 node is available) 9 Node cluster with RF=2 1 node was failed. If rebuilding task finished ever node failure, Does cluster status or data consistency fine if multiple node failed ? ( I mean that - Node01 was failed. Rebuilding finished. - Node02 was failed. Rebuilding finished. → cluster status or data consistency fine ? ( two node failed. 7 node available) - Node03 was failed. Rebuilding finished → cluster status or data consistency fine ? ( three node failed. 6 node available) - Node04 was failed. Rebuilding finished → cluster status or data consistency fine ? ( four node failed. 5 node available) - Node05 was failed. Rebuilding finished → cluster status or data consis
After successful install, I try to create a single-node cluster using the ‘cluster -s cvm_ip --redundancy_factor=1 create’ from the guide here: Community Edition CE 2.0 - Creating a Cluster (nutanix.com) I have an ssh session on my CVM and I am met with ‘warning mainthread genesis_utils.py 1580 failed to reach a node where genesis is up ensure genesis is running on all cvms’ . I then try ‘cluster start’ but it says ‘Cluster is currently unconfigured. Please create the cluster’. This has happened for me on different hardware as well. Any thoughts on this issue?
Hi all,What’s the latest on vTPM backup? We have Windows 10 development VMs hosted in Nutanix and backed up by HYCU. However, Windows 10 support is ending and as I understand it, Windows 11 cannot be backed up from Nutanix due to the inability to backup a vTPM.Is there any way of hosting a vTPM-required OS on Nutanix and having a backup of it? It doesn’t seem like an unreasonable requirement? Thanks,Ian.
Dears, we are planning to expand a cluster consists of 3 Nodes, the new node supposed to come with DiscoveryOS the Existing AHV and CVM are using tagged VLAN, could you please advice if using expand option from the prism element will be able to discover the new node and re-image it ? should any preparation be done on the node before the expanding AOS version is 6.5.4, foundation is 5.4, IPV6 is enabled on the switch. from Prism webUI guide i can see “If the Controller VMs in the cluster reside in a VLAN configured network, the discovery process still finds any factory-prepared nodes regardless of their current VLAN status (configured or not configured).” → in our case it’s coming with DiscoveryOS.
Trying to deploy a VM through ansible playbook. Deployment work fine. But I would like to configure IP address, netmask and gateway. Also I would like to add code for joining the vm to AD domain. Looked into guest_customization. But I am not finding any documentation on how to use guest_customization. There is some, but it only for Linux systems. Any tips/references will be appreciated. Thanks Yezdi
Hi,I have configured a 3 node nutanix cluster with an active active lacp configuration. We have 2 more ports on the node which we wanted to use for dmz. However the prism element gui configuration fails continuously. I tried removing the 2 ports from the br0 bridge and add to br1 bridge. Doing so is only supported in one node, on the other nodes it is not reflected. Kindly suggest the right method or commands to configure since none of them seem to work. Also whether is there a separate vs switch configuration is needed for the scenario? Ps: I don't have flow or prism central. And since it is in deployment state, license activation is also not done
Hi, I am currently doing a study to see how best to utilise the nutanix collector xls file, would anybody be willing to share a dummy version of this file for me? Also, has anybody tried using an AWS bare metal server to run nutanix on before? I appreciate all your support. Thanks,Yusuf
Food for thought - If Nutanix wanted to grab more market share and with Broadcom taking over VMWARE, would VMWARE customers be interested in AHV as a hypervisor in a non hyperconverged environment? I know it goes against the grain of what Nutanix wants to offer (Hyperconverged) but for some smaller customers with only a few nodes it is a very productive solution with the big hit on disk in a 3 node cluster.
Can I install Windows on NUTANIX Prism test drive? I want to evaluate the performance of various operating system VMs on Prism for our company, but I have tried many times and cannot successfully upload the ISO file to Prism.
the druva backup tool will do a backup of ahv vms into their cloud storage. but they dont yet convert them into an ec2 instance for a DR solution. trying to find a way get a DR type result.

RDP to guest vm’s running Windows Server 2022 are freezing a few seconds after connecting. Running latest VirtIO drivers 1.1.7. After rebooting the guest, RDP seems to work ok for an hour or so before freezing again. Guest memory utilization 48%, CPU 3-5% so no issue there.

I’m wanting (for testing backups) to convert a disk on a VG from thin provisioned to thick. I’m not sure how to do this with ncli/acli, API or UI. Is this going to require qemu image commands?
