Hello,

on a new Project we need to import a large VMDK - around 14T of data. Is there a way to import the vmdk directly without usage of the image service.

My expaction was to add the Media which contianed the VMDK to a seperate Host and import using a CLI - is this possible?

Best regards

This public article should help, it describes a couple different ways of getting the data onto the cluster besides the image service.

I would suggest looking at how that data is structured and see if there’s any value to breaking it up into multiple disks/VMDKs before migration just to simplify the move.

Hi,

thanks for this KB Article - But the way to go is always over the image service. Is there a way to directly create the disk for a VM??
