Hello , Do we need Witness VM for AHV Sync replication ?  How system monitors and initiate automatic failover happen ?

Hello, I have 3 VMs on the Backup site and I now want to migrate them to the Prod site, knowing that we have Async DR for Data Protection. How can I migrate these three VMs through replication?

Please let me know what I am missing, I have tried installing inside vmWare ESXI 8.0 or bare metal Dell powerEdge 110 II server, both attempts are failing, multiple tried, I am using USB bootable drive, and following installer:https://download.nutanix.com/ce/2023.03.01/phoenix-ce2.0-fraser-6.5.2-stable-fnd-5.3.4-x86_64.iso Many Thanks! 

Dears:We will do “Test Failover” in Prism for a recovery plan. My question is: How to know "Test Failover" brings which recover point for Disaster Recovery (formerly Leap)?The latest available recovery point? The first available recovery point?

I posted last year about moving PC from a non-nutanix cluster running ESX to a nutanix cluster running ESX but we didn’t do the work at the time.  Now the goalposts have moved a little, or will be and I think things will be a little bit more complicated!So to recap;currently PC (pc.2022.6.0.9) runs on a non-nutanix cluster ESX 7.xwe have 2 nutanix clusters running ESX 7.xwe will be purchasing a new cluster which we intend to run AHV onwe will then migrate all the VM’s from the two nutanix esx clusters to the new AHV clusterwe will possibly also be migrating our native Azure VM’s to Nutanix NC2 in Azure.  We want to move our current PC to the new AHV cluster once its purchased. So the question is how? I was thinking of using MOVE. AIso note we AREN'T running microservices on our PC

Hi All,I am new to Nutanix Environment. I have been tasked to troubleshoot a customer Nutanix environment. In the Nutanix cluster storage utilization is at a critical stage, and Customer VMs are behaving strangely.  VMs are gradually becoming unresponsive and we are greeted with 2048 screen stating VM boot disk are not found although the cluster storage shows 2 TiB available (I know its extremely low, things might not work). The most important part is we have already deleted almost around 15TiB of storage but we are not seeing an increment in the available storage resource. (its stuck at 2TiB). The customer environment is out of support subscription, and they are not able to renew due to their internal financial issue. Cluster version: 5.10.5 LTS Pro LicenseStorage: 2TiB free of 55TiBNumber of Nodes:  4RF=2Data Resiliency Status: Critical I will be very grateful for any help and suggestions.

Hi,Nutanix friends,I’m considering to choice many disks hardware using NCI Edge license.In actually I need 800TB effective capacity.However in my recognation,using NCI Edge licence is not over 5nodes each cluster.Which hardware shoud I choice?Perhaps,NX-8055-G9 is the most disks installed,180TB hdd per node.

Hi everyone, I have an NX-3460-G6 that was turned off yesterday by accidentally unplugging the power cables. I tried to turn it back on, but the power supplies (PSU) have green LEDs flashing (the other LED is off). Now from the documentation I see that it could be one of two causes: 1) "When AC is present only: 12VSB on (PS off) of PS in sleep state (the LED should flash at i Hz). 2) Power supply firmware updating mode (the LED should flash at 2 Hz).

Hi all,I’ve enabled AD authentication on Prism element and Prism Central. All is working, but I saw a little artefact.When I connect with my AD user, the name written in the right top of the screen is the concatenation of two AD fields : Display Name and Last Name. So, It shows my first name and twice my last name (display name field is already the conactenation of first name and last names fields).Is this the same thing for you ? I didn’t see any settings option for AD fields mapping (as for OpenLDAP)thanks !

Hi Team,           I need clarifications on  the below two points. If there is a requirement to create storage container capacity usable space as 1TB, which means is to  create 2TB as the advertised capacity in Rf2 based container? If I create 100GB disk in RF2 container, the unique data  is only 50 GB ? What are the on-prem requirements to build NC2 on azure ?

Hey everyone, I have an ova which is designed for VMWare. The OVA is 2.7 GB in size and is Oracle Linux 9.3.When trying to deploy the OVA in Nutanix PC, it fails and doesn’t work. I’ve been researching and it seems that the vmdks inside the OVA need to be injected with the Virtio drivers that are compatible with AHV.  I want to mention that I have used Nutanix Move to migrate a Virtual Machine from VMWare to Nutanix. The problem is that I need to redistribute these images and Nutanix Move creates images that are 120GB combined (which is the disk sizes but not the vmdk sizes, obviously).  Any help will be much appreciated.

I’m currently backing up to AWS with AWS set up as Async DR site.  However, the price that AWS is charging has dramatically gone up.  Are there any alternatives to AWS?  I don’t need to run any VMs on the remote site, just a remote site to store my snap shots and the ability to restore easily. Thanks!

Hello,on a new Project we need to import a large VMDK - around 14T of data. Is there a way to import the vmdk directly without usage of the image service.My expaction was to add the Media which contianed the VMDK to a seperate Host and import using a CLI - is this possible? Best regards

Is this a possible option? I currently have a single node (MS-01) running nutanix CE and would like to add storage to expand Files.  Is it possible to bring in additional hardware in nutanix CE for a storage only node?
