Can anybody confirm if the Extent Store size shown in the Nutanix Sizer tool will be equal to the Container Maximum Capacity that can be used by the VMs for data storage? I am designing a 3-node cluster with following Disks 3 * 960 GB SSD 6 * 4 TB HDD Nutanix Sizer shows Extent Store (Assuming RF2) = 9.63 TiB for HDD and 0.64 TiB for SSD The total shown is 10.27. Will this value be the Maximum Capacity available for the Container to be made out of storage pool? As I have observed the Container Maximum Capacity is exactly half of what the Storage Pool Capacity is shown. What will be the Storage Pool Capacity shown for the above mentioned specs and is this value visible in Nutanix Sizer tool/Storage Capacity Calculator?

Hi folks, I want to ask about the details regarding the network connectvity failure and cluster behaviour in such cases. I am mentioning two such scenarios but other scenarios may also be possible. Scenario 1. If one host in the cluster gets completely disconnected from other nodes at network level but host is up and running what will be the cluster behavior and what will happen to the vms running on that particuar host Scenario 2. If all hosts in the cluster get disconnected from each other at network level but hosts and cvms are up and running, what will happen to the vms running on each host.

Hello, with latest AOS (5.10 or newer) it's possible to run multiple hypervisor in same cluster ? For example one cluster with 5 nodes with esxi and 3 nodes with AHV ? Thanks Manuel

Hi all, we are performing a POC and we have a cluster that originallly had about 30 Tib of available space made of SSD+ HDD. Then, to show the customer the performance improvement moving to All Flash we made an inline conversion addind SSD and removing all the HDD and now we have a total available space is about 11 TiB. The storage container has compression enable and the real used capacity is 4,5 Tib. The problem is that most of the VM are thick provisioned and the actual use space is reported at 12 Tib hence above the available capacity. This triggers RED alarms on the Prism console saying that he Data Resiliency is not available. So I have 2 questions: 1) since the actual used capacity is 4,5 Tib what happens in case of a disk failure? 2) how can we manage to eliminate these alarms? Question number 2) is particularly relevant since if we succeed in the POC and the customer could purchase Nutanix all flash systems , they will like to use th

I have been trying to remove an existing nfs whitelisted machine through Rest API explorer. API: cluster/nfs_whitelist/{name:.+} I have tried giving the path parameter with different combination of IP/sunbnet mask but all were failed with error message: Specified NFS Whitelist does not exist. Here, machine IP is whitelisted as I can see it in Filesystem whitelists but I am not able to figure out the exact representation of path parameter. If anyone knows, then please tell me. We are designing a Nutainx cluster utilizing a NX-1065-G5 four host block licensed with Prism Pro and Acropolis Ultimate. This will be the production site managing approximately 12 workloads. For the recover site we are looking at building a 3 host Dell cluster. The hypervisor throughout the environment will be AHV. There will be a Cisco metro network solution between these two sites. My question is, what are our options for replication between the two sites? The KB lists solutions for ESXi and Hyper-V, but does not mention AHV configurations. Is this because this is a native solution built into the Prism solution? Thank you for any enlightenment.

Hello, I have questions on SSD pool and ILM mechanism I still did not found answers for after cross reading dozens of web sites and forums. Probably the response is obvious but I feel like I am missing something here and would like to have certainties on these points. So, let's suppose I have a 4 hybrid (1065) node cluster and I am running out of SSD. Q1) Can I technically add an All Flash node in the same cluster container ?
