We are facing performance issues with Nutanix volumes configured with Oracle RAC physical nodes. The latency is very high (25-30 ms).  Anyone has any suggestions on this.

I’m trying to move a VM (Ubuntu 18.04), when the cutover is done and i make a console connection the VM, at first the screen is blank, but after a few enters, i start getting the following signs on the console:Anyone has any ideas how to avoid this? I’ve tried installing NGT prior to moving the VM - no luck. On the initial GNU GRUB screen where I choose which OS to boot, everything is fine.

I have a question regarding private networks.  I have an NFS share that resides in the 192.168.20.x network, however my Nutanix public (Internet access) network is in the 10.10.2.x.  I need to create a network where my VM can talk to the NFS server.  I’ve reviewed some YouTube videos but they’re not very helpful.  Any better documentation out there?

Been having oplog errors for nearly 5 months now. I have read through the article: NCC Health Check: oplog_episode_count_check and I have been able to get the vdisk_id. Can a Nutanix Storage node contain more secondary VM copies than what would fit into the existing capacity on the cluster nodes disk? and if yes, how does one bring the storage node down for maintenance?

I am using the newest version of X-ray (3.10.0) to connect to a vCenter (6.5U1d) to have some performance tests for my cluster. At the step 4 (Validation) of creating the target cluster, it failed to validate the cluster.Error: Target cannot be verified.After looking into the log, in the HTTP Response body, it contains the 500 Internal Server Error. Still cannot get what it means as everything seems fine and the connection from X-ray VM to cluster still has no problem at all.

May I know is there any command to change the vlan of the virtual network resides on vswitch br1?

I’m relatively new to Powershell and have been looking for the cmdlet get the Role Mapping information from a cluster. I’ve no issues connecting using Powershell I just cant find the correct cmdlet which will allow me to get the Role Mappings. My apologies if I haven’t placed this is the correct group.

When migrating Windows VMs from AWS into a Nutanix cluster and while using automatic Windows VM preparation, it is important to verify permissions configurations in two places within AWS. Specifically, the permissions for the AWS account that is provided when adding an AWS source into Move and the permissions of the IAM profile associated with the VM instance to be migrated. There are times, when we need to move a vm disk to a different container on the same AHV Cluster.For e.g. : We may want to move this VM Disk on a container with De-Dupliction Disabled. I have read the documents and manuals of APC PowerChute Network but it is a scenario that doesn’t apply to mean. Apparently, someone sold to the customer a Vertiv Liebert GXT4 UPS. Liebert’s engineers concluded that the product couldn’t provide a graceful shutdown of the Nutanix cluster, while it could shutdown the ESXi on top.Is there anyone out there who had succeeded in performing a graceful shutdown without APC?

We have Nutanix SX-1065-G5 with 3 nodes, every node have 4*16GB, and we need to add 64GB to every node. Is it possible to add 4*16GB for every node ?RAM : C-MEM-16GB-DDR4-2400

vCenter 7.0U1c and vSphere Clustering Service VMs on local or shared storage.After test upgrading vCenter from 6.5U3 to 7.0U1c (which worked just fine w 0 issues), every vmware cluster with DRS and/or HA enabled gets 3 new vCLS (very tiny VMs w 2GB storage/.13GB RAM).When NCC is ran it registers 3 WARNs that there are VMs running on the SATADOM’s. I would assume that, even what (little) they do (today), would this wear out Satadom’s or M.2’s?Would this be a concern for G4/G5’s (w Satadoms) and not G6/G7’s (M.2’s)?”While vCLS can be moved to shared storage, wouldn’t they be moved back to local storage during an NX cluster stop?(Like to point out this was done in a LAB environment, not in Production… no bits nor bytes were harmed during the upgrade progress.)
