Hi, which 10G SFP+ LR (single mode) modules are supported in Nutanix NX-8035-G5 and NX-6035C-G5 nodes with C-NIC-10G-2-SI 10G network interface cards? Do the SFP+ need special branding, as e.g. for use with Cisco switches? Thanks, Erik

Where do you put the ESXi ISO files so they show up in Foundation hypervisor list? Also, is this considered a bare metal install? Also, if using Foundation, where is a good guide for installing using ESXi as the Hypervisor (Field guide not much help). Thanks

I have 3 nodes of Lenovo HX and running on ESXi. As we need to use Acropolis, we decided to do one click conversion and the process failed by first node unable to boot up with anything and boot up with phoenix# boot. Decided to do a reimage of the cluster so use foundation 3.5 with AHV and 2 nodes manage to install but the same failed node failed to install and stuck at 17%. Upgraded firmware and tried manual installation using AHV and later ESXi together with phoenix disc and the same node still failed while running phoenix. Attached the screenshot of the error. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

I have 3 DELL XC630-10 nodes in one cluster. Nutanix web console shows one CVM to host connectivity is failed. the other two is ok. I login this CVM, can't ping ESXi host internal Switch IP(192.168.5.1), but can ssh login ESXi host via 192.168.5.1 Admin console show "Stargate on Controller VM 192.168.143.35 is down for ###### seconds " alert. use cluster status command , all service within in CVM is up，include CVM 192.168.143.35, Would you help me to resolve it . thanks!

Hello guys, I have a question regarding schedule auto-reboot of nutanix hyper-v nodes. Understand there is a cau preupdate powershell script to auto reboot the node 1 by 1 and ensure CVM is up and running before executing reboot action on the next node. Is there a similar script we can use so that we can schedule auto reboot the Hyper-V nodes 1 by 1 without having the risk of all the nodes / CVM or cluster down at the same time? Thanks. Hi guys, Need some advice We are running a realy old version of ESXi 5,5 on our Nutanix cluster Nutanix support recommended the 1 click hypervsior upgrade and to get the json file The build number we want to go to is 4345813.. there is a json file for it on the website However on the Vmware website the latest offline bundle they have is build 3248547 which is from Decemeber last year Anyone know how I can get the offline bundle for 4345813? Nutanix support didn't know how to do it

Hi, We have a currently running nutanix cluster on dells and are looking to move the cvms to a new subnet. The new subnet has esxi management for each host, but on a different vmk, is it possible to point the cvms to the new vmk to get around the 'CVM subnet is currently different than the Hypervisor subnet.' issue? Hello everybody, is there any advise how to shut down the whole NX Block? I got my first NX1465 and run foundation and build the cluster with AHV.After the first configuration steps i will power the whole block off to bring the NX into our datacenter. Hi, I am new to Nutanix so would appreciate a bit of advice on importing a cluster into System Center Virtual Machine Manager. I have an existing Nutanix Hyper-V cluster which I want to manage via SCVMM. Has anyone got any advice in importing this into SCVMM and anything I should be aware of? Also, has anyone converted Standard switches to logical switches once the cluster has been imported or is that not a good idea? Thanks!

I have this same error on 3 nodes - I have checked networking / Time and connectivity and it all seems ok. Running ncc health checks on different services gives me a range of things to check. Not sure where to start with this. The Hosts are Hyper-V.

Hello Guys, I got a new environment to take care of and need some help here. Setup is based on Nutanix 3 Nodes with Hyper-V cluster. There is requirement to use Veeam BR as backup solution. All veeam components has to be virtualized i.e., Backup server, Proxy Server, Repository and Tape Server if required. Backup destination is a Tape library which can be connected via FC. Documents that I read "veeam on Nutanix with Hyper-V" mentions about hybrid scenario, where Physical repository server can be used to connect tape library. In my case there is no physical server available. What can be possible ways to get this done? 1. Is it mandatory to use a physical server to connect to tape? 2. Can an HBA installed in NTNX Node be used by a VM on Hyper-V (pass-through)? 3. Can I designate Hyper-V parent OS as Veeam Proxy and Tape server and use HBA directly from parent-OS? Hi All, We are about to secure our first Nutanix Deal (in our region) - our existing customer have a vsphere environment with 35 Virtual Machines (Exchange / AD / SQL / Oracle DB) - they are willing to go AHV. After setting up the first block - what would be the best way to migrate all virtual machines from existing vspehre cluster? Existing vSphere cluster is using VMFS data stores off their existing SAN. will be grateful for your suggestions / insights / best approach towards this. Kind regards

Hi all - we have HUGE problems in Denmark with setting the correct Daylight savings in AHV A clock / time settings apprently not just an option in AHV.. We found that we neede to set this in Windows guests to get the clock correct - otherwise it was 2 hours wrong reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlTimeZoneInformation" /v RealTimeIsUniversal /d 1 /t REG_DWORD /f Now when we have shifted to winter time CET instead of CEST and we shutdown the VM's the clock is 1 hour wrong!! What is the 100% correct way to handle time on AHV? I have never had issues on VMware, HyperV or Xen with this basic stuff.. 😞 If anyone could lead me to a KB or something about this issue?

We recently had multiple Nutanix Blocks installed and I have started configuring them for Active Directory Authentication; however, logging on using AD Accounts is super slow and takes several minutes to logon. I have configured the Authentication to IP Addresses, FQDN's and DOMAIN but all are still unacceptably slow. ldap://192.168.1.1:389 ldap://server.domain.org:389 ldap://domain.org:389 For the Prism Role mapping, I have configured AD Groups and Single Users and the logon is still super slow. There was a post about change recursive authentication to be off; however, there was no command string associated with NCLI. Anyone experiencing this issue? Would like to know the best practice for configuration AD Authentication. Thanks for any assistance... David

I need to change the IPMI IP Address on 2 Nodes of a 4 Node Dell XC Block. I know how to change the IP from the iDRAC Console; however, how do I get it to update the Nutanix Node? I read through the Admin Manual; however, I could not find anything related to changing the IPMI IP Address. Thanks,David

I have a demo Nutanix NX-1020 with three nodes sitting on a bench in a lab environment. Each node is connected to a private 1G 8 port unmanaged switch (Netgear ProSAFE). Six ports are used for metadata traffic using a 10.0.0.xxx subnet. One port is connected to a wall port to access my companies network. I plug my laptop into the eighth port switch. 10.0.0.20-22 - CVM IPs 10.0.0.30-32 - AHV IPs 10.0.0.50 - Cluster IP I have one VM created with dual NICs. The internal NIC has 10.0.0.101 and the external NIC has 172.21.35.23 with the Subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the gateway of 172.21.35.1, but I cannot get access to the company network.
