Recently i have Expanded the cluster with two node and i have created two vms in the same network range but two vms are not reachable in the Nutanix cluster please help me anyone.

AD user is having trouble accessing the VM console on Prism Central. They can log on normally to Prism Central. After clicking the VM, only a blank page with the name of the VM appears instead of the console. There is no "FAIL" status after the health check that I ran. Additionally, I verified that RBAC allows users to access the VM console.After PC was updated to version pc.2022.6.0.3 with LMC 2.5.x, PE software was upgraded on AOS 6.5.2.5, and AHV 20220304.342, and this problem appeared. Is there a chance that this problem can be resolved?

I have just installed the module Nutanix for Ansible. The demo playbook works fine.https://www.nutanix.dev/2022/08/05/getting-started-with-the-nutanix-ansible-module/But I can’t find in the module documentation how to deploy VM  from a VM template just like we do with https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/community/vmware/vmware_guest_module.html ?Thx

Hello I'm currently working on a Windows Server 2022 image these days, and something got weird on the 3 below scenarios1) From PC - deploying a new VM from image by specifiying guest customization with only username and password Sysprep seems to works but logs are quite short 2) From PC - using a unattend.xml in the guest customization settings that only change username/password Same result as you can see below 3) Manually from inside the VM, launching sysprep.exe /generalize /reboot /oobe Logs are very long (file is like 145ko vs 5ko for 1) and 2) and a lot more stuff seems to be done rather than 1) and 2) , as you can see below My questions are :Does the guest customization from PC is really working ? what should be the best way to sysprep a VM from PC ?  Thanks a lot for your help :)

Hello comunity, i need info if these cmdlets are updated or there is new cmdlets for booting configuration?i am preparing boot configuration for deploying VM with UEFI and SATA combination but those cmdlets are not working for me. Hello everybody, We have a customer who informs us about a problem on his AOS/AHV platform:We have encountered in our testing phase several Nvidia problems on the Linux stations:-    Name of the VDI does not show up in the license server;    Unrecognized driver causing the GPU not to be used. Nvidia advised to upgrade to version 13.7.But the version supported by nutanix for the client version is 13.3, the one already in place (https://portal.nutanix.com/page/downloads?product=ahv) The current versions of the client : AOS: 6.5.1.6AHV: 20220304.24Nvidia grid : 470.129.04nvidia software : 13.3 Can we upgrade from nvidia to version 13.7?Is it supported by nutanix? Thanks for your help Bernard

Hello,Is there a way to deploy Linux Server on Nutanix AHV with RedHat Satellite? I can’t add compute resource in Infrastructure/Compute Resources in Satellite GUI I opened a case on RedHat side and they told me :“The RFE (Request for feature enhancement) has been raised with respect to Bugzilla #2010211, however, the Red Hat Satellite Engineering team has confirmed that this RFE will not be implemented.”Does anyone succeeded to deploy VM On Nutanix with Satellite ?I’m not talking about virt-who, this part is working. 

HiAs Microsoft advise / Windows Server 2022 isn’t Legacy BIOS compatible anymore, i have to set up a brand new template using UEFI.However, if i tick “EFI” and Secure Boot from VM configuration or not, I can’t boot on my ISO at all. It still go to EFI Shell or in the UEFI Menu.I also tried to update VirtIO drivers directly into my Windows image (on install.wim and boot.wim on all indexes) but i can’t go so far in the installation part. Does anyone was able to use EFI settings with Windows Server 2022 ? If yes, what was your settings  ?

We have 2 Nutanix prism tenants and would like to share the VM resources to keep the logs such as the SNMP logs and Syslog together, Our local services suggest having 2 public IPs to connect it with the VPN tunnel.  Is it possible to configure the virtual network for this solution without the Public IP?I’m not sure it is the best practice to connect 2 local tenants with the VPN tunnel so the packet will route through the public network.

if We have 400 virtual machines and we dont know that who use that virtual machines and we want to know IDLE SERVERS, means the servers no one use. 

Hello guys, I am aware of the application discovery and monitoring feature that comes with prism pro to get the metrics for apps running inside vms. But currently it offers support for only vcenter and mssql server. Is there any other way from nutanix or any third party software that can be leveraged to achieve this?  

is any possiblity to install AHV on Virtual Desktop ? l want to install on VMware Workstation, VirtualBox etc.

Greetings all,Testing out an upgrades I have faced some problems upgrading cluster from 5.20 straight to 6.5.2 AOS version using dark site web server. Even though the Upgrade Path shows that such upgrade is supported, and I was able to upgrade all the other components including the AOS itself using Prism LCM. The only problem is that after Performing Inventory and even after the upgrade complete it does not show AHV version changed or the upgrade available and the AHV version stays the same. I have tried to perform Direct Upload too and even though I could see the uploaded AHV version I still was unable to upgrade it. Upgrade to 6.5.1.8 version went successful, however. So  I had to try it with 6.5.2.5 and the result stays the same as with 6.5.2First I tried to upgrade fromAOS 5.20.1.1 AHV 20201105.2096 → AOS 6.5.2 AHV 20220304.342then after reimaging the cluster toAOS 5.20.2.1 AHV 20201105.2244 →  AOS 6.5.2 AHV 20220304.342.Both upgrades showed same results, then after reimaging the c

Hello guys, I managed to create a new VM running Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64 with the help of the Fedora Redhat VirtIO drivers. Everything works fine so far. Question now ... has anbody managed to get the current Nutanix Guest Tools to run inside? I downloaded SHA-2 Microsoft Patches KB4474419 and KB4493730 for Windows Server 2008 x64, installed them and rebooted but the installation of Nutanix Guest Tools still fails. Any ideas? Thanks

I have need to stand up an ESXi nested VM for running a Singlewire Informacast VM that refuses to run on AHV natively. Following some blogs/guides, I’ve manually created a NIC with the e1000 model and it seems to work fine under ESXi 6.7 but the ESXi 7.0 installer won’t recognize the NIC. From what I’ve seen online, the e1000 driver might not be supported on ESXi 7.0 anymore.In any case, I wanted to see if anyone else has had any luck getting ESXi 7.0 working as a nested VM on AHV. Hello,We have a scenario where we need to grant access to console VM's to some users without this users have access to prism. Do you know if exist some way that bypass authentication to launch console VM? Maybe a API call that I can pass this authentication in a code, for example? I know that in url vm, I can inform the uuid of VM's the access works, but I need grant access without directly logon on prism Thanks 

For installing a Ubuntu Server Cloud image is it still required to customize it to add the serial port as described in a 2-year old article in this forum for installing Ubuntu Server Cloud.  Also do Ubuntu Server 22.04 OVA images work or must use .img? See: Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellyfish) [20230107]

There is an option to have the Storage widget turn yellow when the cluster reached a warning threshold of resilient capacity. This feature does not appear to trigger an alert in Prism Elements. Are there any options to make this trigger an alert or are there options to alert on the resilient capacity of the cluster? Managing the capacity based on anything else creates more management overhead when each cluster has to have the capacity calculated individually and the thresholds set/reset with cluster changes. Since this widget is already doing the calculation it seems redundant to have to edit the storage pool alerts on every cluster. This is an example of the Storage Widget with the warning triggered. But the storage pool has not triggered an alert based on these numbers because it doesn’t take into consideration the resilient capacity.
