Hi all,

 

after migrating SQL Server(2K12) from ESXi to AHV, all schedule jobs whithin SQL server are taking much longer.

 

any idea what could lead to this behavior?

Hi,

When u have performance issues after migration there might be too many things to check.

  1. Check if the SQL VM is configured using BP.

  1. Check if you have any stale components need to be cleanup after migration.
  2. You can use Prism statistics to monitor performance of VM while the jobs are running and identify where is bottleneck.
  3. Some times increasing CVM RAM can also help as it will increase the unified cache (check with support first)
  4. and you can always open case with support to identify the bottleneck in performance.
