Hello Everyone,We have a cluster that failed. It’s running on an old NX-G5 box, and has been out of support for a while now. When trying to start the cluster, we’ll get varying messages. Sometimes it’ll say the cluster hasn’t finished being configured. Other times it’ll be about genesis or zookeeper. Genesis is currently running on all the CVMs, zookeeper is only running on one of them. I’m able to ping everything from everywhere, and all of the zookeeper and network config files look correct. Any ideas on what to check from here would be greatly appreciated.Another thought was that if we couldn’t get the cluster up and running, is it possible to somehow recover the VM disks and import them into another AHV cluster? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have a virtual machine that created a snapshot. After logging into the CVM, I can find the disk files corresponding to the snapshot in the snapshot directory. However, the size of the snapshot file is equal to the size of the master disk, which is a complete replication, not generating a new file to store the increment. I added a file to the virtual machine and found that the modification was to the master disk, while the last modification date of the snapshot file did not change.The underlying layer of AHV uses kvm, which can create an external snapshot through virsh.Does AHV support creating external incremental snapshots

Hi,I have deployed a single node Nutanix CE, the deployment is done, and I am able to reach the AHV IP address but the CVM IP address is unreachable. However the CVM is reachable from the AHV when ssh. Unable to resolve the issue.

Does the Nutanix SDK include an interface for downloading disk content?Does the SDK have an interface for obtaining incremental data based on snapshots? Just like the Esxi SDK of vmware, disk data can be downloaded through SDK, and after taking a snapshot, incremental and differential data can be obtained by comparing the snapshot with the previous snapshot or master disk

Hi I’ve created certificates on a local CA for my two prism servers and prism-central. However it looks like the certificate update only applies to Prism Central. I’m using cvm-london and cvm-midlands as alternate names on the cert but the prism pushes out its own certificate. Is this expected?

I recently tried to deploy prism central 2023.3 by uploading the binary and metadata, but I couldn't deploy it because the customer didn't have dns and ntp, and also didn't need the microservices. There is a way to deploy it without it?

Hello every one Can you supporting me in my Case we have now 3 nodes NX and we need add new node NX-8135N.When I foundation vm the installation failed and I get this log error  

We got a couple of servers with 2 x Dual Port 100GB Ethernet Adapters and 1 x Dual Port 10/25GB Ethernet Adapter, I need some clarity if AHV supports uplink speeds of 100GB. From the documentation I’ve been reading on the support portal, it mentions that AHV cluster networking only supports 10, 25 and 40GB (https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/solutions/details?targetId=BP-2105-Linux-on-AHV:nutanix-ahv-cluster-networking.html). Does this mean that those speeds are only for AHV / AOS and a separate bridge can be created with the 100GB uplinks for the virtual machine traffic?

Dear community,We are facing a weird issue regarding vTPM and already opened a support case without much luck.Our cluster is fully updated and we are even using PC 2023.x build.If we create a new Windows 11 22H2 virtual machine, the “Get-TPM” cmdlet works fine and BitLocker can be enabled.If we do the same but with Windows 10 22H2, the cmdlet fails, which means we can’t use the additional security features like BitLocker or even upgrade to Windows 11.Have you ever seen something similar?Many thanks!Bruno Martins

When we add sysprep for windows vm to booot and configure windows as defined in xml file.how we can set to use only specific drive letter for sysprep cidata drive to execute and complete the sysprep script.

Hello,I'm working on building a Debian 12 image for Nutanix, but I found it difficult to start the automatic Debian installation process (DebianInstaller). Unlike other virtualizers that I have worked with so far, Nutanix does not have the "boot_command" parameter to start the self-installation process.Is there any documentation or tutorial on how to proceed in this case?Thanks for any guidance.

Hello,I have seen other posts similar to this subject, yet could not find a way to get the OVA files to be downloaded to a NAS solution  ?Since from the GUI for the admin the maximum idle timeout is 1 hour, and I have about 5 TB total , can we get them with via filezilla / winscp (any one knows the path of the OVA files) , hopping will not disconnect after some time 😂, a none admin user will not see the OVA tab.I hope this is not the only wayhttps://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Prism-Central-Guide-vpc:mul-vm-export-as-ova-pc-t.html Please ignore disk transformation via Nutanix or other backup software(s).Thanks

Hi, I’m stuck while upgrading software on LCM.AOS(6.5.3.7) and others(Foundation,NCC ..etc)upgrades were successful, but the only thing I cant see on LCM is AHV hypervisor. I unzipped several versions(higher than 20201105.2267), and I even directly uploaded on LCM, but nothing shows up at Software Firmware Update tab.  Attached is capture of Inventory How Can I solve this problem? Are these versions compatible? 

Hi,I have a 3 node nutanix cluster, when initial deployment with foundation portable due to low space in my disk, the deployment failed. When trying to redeploy we are unable to deploy. We are unable to reset the node to its factory form. Is there any way to initiate a deployment?

Hi, anybody help me on below query, We have a three node AHV Nutanix cluster which is running on 1 Gig TOR Switch, now we are replacing the 10 Gig TOR switch instead of 1 Gig TOR Switch. is there any impact for the cluster..?what are the steps need to take to  perform  this activity…? Thanks,Ashok.
