有識者の皆様 標題の件についてご教示お願いします。クラスタからノードを削除して別のクラスタに追加 or 新規クラスタ構築をする場合に、Foundationによる初期化は必須でしょうか？それとも初期化をせずにそのまま利用できるものでしょうか？（バージョンは統一されている前提）ラボでノード削除～ノード追加を実施しようとした際に、削除したノードをそのまま追加するとウィザードでエラーになって進めませんでした。手順が悪いのか、仕様なのかを知りたい意図です。（AOS 6.5）

Hello,Newbie here. We are just moving off of VMware to Nutanix and have an issue. We use HPE OneView to manage bare metal servers that we have at various locations and is running in VMware but HPE tells us it’s not supported on the Nutanix hypervisor. We can’t be the only shop that has a OneView appliance and are moving to Nutanix from VMware. So I am reaching out to the community here in the hope that someone has been down this path and can point the best way forward to still use OneView.

Due to recurring discussions with customers, here again the question about the technical background. why can't I split Nutanix nodes in a cluster across 3 locations (these are less meters apart)? ESXi can do that, other virtualization solutions too (MS HV, PVE).I'm interested in a technical explanation, that it's not supported, I know, but why?In fact can we build stretched Clusters across Locations (No geolocations)? Hello Community, I'm exploring options for executing an Unplanned Failover in a Prism Central-based Disaster Recovery setup and would appreciate some insights. Our environment consists of two sites, each configured with its own Prism Central instance in an AZ-to-AZ architecture. Is it possible to successfully perform an Unplanned Failover without a Witness in this setup? If anyone has experience or best practices to share for handling failovers under these conditions, I’d be grateful for your advice! Thanks in advance!
You may notice that when converting Mine V2 licenses to NUS Starter licenses in portfolio 2.0, the conversion rate appears to be 50% of the original amount of Mine V2 licenses. Example:50 TiBs of Mine V2 licenses convert to 25 TiBs of NUS licenses. This difference is due to the way Mine V2 licenses and NUS licenses are calculated:Mine V2: Represent raw TiBs of capacity. NUS licenses: Represent usable TiBs of capacity.When converting from Mine V2 licenses to NUS licenses, the conversion rate is 2:1 because NUS account for usable storage capacity, which is about half of the raw storage. As part of the cluster destroy or decommissioning process, we are supposed to unlicense the cluster first to release the licenses back to the Account Inventory. If you forgot to do it, now there is a guardrail which will not let you to destroy the cluster. You will get an error like below:ERROR cluster:1360 We have detected that you are destroying a cluster that is in a licensed state. Please refer to https://portal.nutanix.com/kb/3716 to reclaim the licenses from this cluster before proceeding with 'cluster destroy'.Sometime the cluster can be in a unstable or undefined state where the customer will not be able to access the Prism Gui to reclaim the licenses. In that case the solution provided by KB 3716 may not work.The workaround for that can be:SSH into the cluster Start the cluster Once the cluster comes back up, run the "ncli license reset-license" command It will show whether the license was reset successfully After that, stop the cluster again and try the "cluster destroy" comm
Hello,I can’t get a Win11 ISO to boot on CE 2.1 using vTPM and Secure Boot. It will boot without the secure boot enabled, but it won’t pass the checks the installer runs for compatibility. I tried with and without the e1000 NIC workaround for UEFI.

Hello, anyone can help me ? i have problem on my nutanix ce, i cannot login to my prism, it just processing like in my pics.
I was able to successfully overcome the lack of the proper igc modules for my Intel 2.5 gbps nics on my protectli homeserver (like a NUC but not). The blog here helped, and I simply downloaded the igc module from Satoshi’s site. But now the problem is I restart the installer with “./ce_installer && screen -r”, but it fails with the following error that makes it sound like it is upgrading versus installing for the first time. Following is picture of the error: Is there way to signal this is as a first time installation? Should I wipe all the disks in my system before doing the install? (The disks are currently part of a Ubuntu KVM install that I assumed could be be blown away by the Nutanix installation.)Thanks in advance for any tips.

Hi All,My customer has a scenario where they initially set up Nutanix in a hardware management lan, which is controlled by a firewall. Now they have a need to connect the backup server on the other end of the firewall, without opening the firewall, can we set the external IP to be bound to the network permitted by the firewall, so that the backup server can connect to the external IP? I don't know if there will be any problems.
有識者の皆様 Oplogに関しての質問です。OplogはWrite Bufferとしての役割と理解しております。しかしながら、All Flash（すべてのSSDが同サイズ、同耐久、同速度、同インターフェース）の場合、OplogにWriteをしたとしても、性能面・耐久面ではメリットがなく、直接Extent StoreにWriteした方が良いように思います。すべて同一のSSDで構成されるクラスタの場合、Oplogはどのような役割になりますか？もしくは、同一SSDのみのクラスタでOplogは意味がない、ということであればキャッシュSSDとキャパシティSSDの2層にした方が効率が良いでしょうか？
