Hi. Is ESXi v8 supported yet?

Hi,I have a 3 node nutanix cluster, when initial deployment with foundation portable due to low space in my disk, the deployment failed. When trying to redeploy we are unable to deploy. We are unable to reset the node to its factory form. Is there any way to initiate a deployment?

Prism Central in Azure provides the control plane for Flow Virtual Networking. Hi, anybody help me on below query, We have a three node AHV Nutanix cluster which is running on 1 Gig TOR Switch, now we are replacing the 10 Gig TOR switch instead of 1 Gig TOR Switch. is there any impact for the cluster..?what are the steps need to take to  perform  this activity…? Thanks,Ashok.

Flow Virtual Networking Gateway VM High Availability When you initially deploy your first cluster, you can create two to four FGW VMs vs only one prior. The resiliency change is a big deal but getting traffic in and out of the cluster became a lot easier for Azure/Nutanix admins. The addition of the Azure Route servers along with the deployment of BGP VMS means that User Defined routes don’t need to be created. Anytime manual operations can be removed from a design, it means a win for the customer.Prior to AOS 6.7, if you deployed only one gateway VM, the NC2 portal redeployed a new FGW VM with an identical configuration when it detected that the original VM was down. Because this process invoked various Azure APIs, it took about 5 minutes before the new FGW VM was ready to forward traffic, which affected the north-south traffic flow.

AOS 6.7 has added more options for securing your cluster in AWS. We will take a look at the existing options and dive into the new feaure in AOS 6.7.You can use AWS security groups and network access control lists to secure your cluster relative to other AWS or on-premises resources. Nutanix automatically creates three security groups to limit traffic to the cluster:Internal management: Allows all internal traffic between all CVMs and all AHV hosts (EC2 bare-metal hosts). Hi All,We are using a backup tool on some Nutanix clusters and after some testing, it turns out backup does not work very well. So I consider alternatives and explore the full backup capacities with the protection domains. Is it possible to do granular backup (restore file), can we run pre/post scripts?Also Can we backup non-Nutanix clusters (VMware) with PD?Thanks in advance for your answersRegards,

Hello Community,I want to configure replication and failover plans between 2 separate Nutanix clusters, both running ESXi hypervisor.I do have Vmware SRM licenses and I am aware of these 2 possibilities :1. Replicate VMs using Nutanix Protection Domains (either with Async DR or with Metro Availability) and configure Failover scenarios with SRM via Nutanix SRA2. Replicate VMs using VMware vSphere Replication Appliance and configure Failover scenario with SRMMy question is which of the possibility would you recommend ? which is better in terms of performance and flexibility ?Thanks.

Hello Everyone  I have been building Ansible Playbooks to automate Nutanix VM builds and I have the need to create and attach a volume group to some of the VM’s.  The Nutanix NCP module from Ansible Galaxy has been pretty much the only module I could locate that really handles the vm creation well.  What I have found is that depending on where you go there are conflicts in whether or not version 3 or version 2 of the API is supported.While using the API explorer on Prism Central it is shown as volume_groups and appears exposed.  When reviewing docs and next.nutanix, various API information it appears it should work but doesn’t and I can’t seem to locate any good examples.Anyone here willing to share code or direction on what they have working for volume group creation and management.  I am currently on working with 2 clusters with Prism Central deployed.  I am hopeful I can find a functional example of ansible or api calls that manage volumes and thank an

I have followed the steps from the below linksMigrating Sles 12 VM's From AHV To ESXi Export a VM from Nutanix AHV to VMware ESXiBut when turning on the VM it does not boot gets stuck at the bios screen.

I got an issue where the cluster is DOWN and I unable to access the CVM and AHV via SSH. I have requested for credential to access IPMI, but they do not found any valid credential to access IPMI, even with a default password. There 4 nodes in 1 block, which I only have an access to 1 node [CVM and AHV]. I also unable to access the Prism. Is there any possible way to UP the cluster? Besides, I unable to create case to support.

We have 2 Cluster - Primary cluster we are sending backup cluster for certain VM. If We restore snapshot on same cluster - > guest os can easly assign drive letter But whichever is near by snapshot which available at Backup Cluster if try to restore on Backup clusterDrive letter are not getting assign, which impacting DB Services as DB lying in unassigned drives

If restore from protection domain snapshot at remote site, SID will change the windows 2016 server or do we need to run the sysprep to change the sid?

Hi.We are having no end of trouble with our backup software (druva) it basically keeps trying to talk on port 443 not 9440. Is there a way on a Prism element to be able to do some sort of rewrite so any traffic coming into the server incorrectly on port 443 can get rewritten to go to 9440 instead?
