Dear community,We are facing a weird issue regarding vTPM and already opened a support case without much luck. Our cluster is fully updated and we are even using PC 2023.x build. If we create a new Windows 11 22H2 virtual machine, the “Get-TPM” cmdlet works fine and BitLocker can be enabled. If we do the same but with Windows 10 22H2, the cmdlet fails, which means we can’t use the additional security features like BitLocker or even upgrade to Windows 11.Have you ever seen something similar? Many thanks!Bruno Martins
When we add sysprep for windows vm to booot and configure windows as defined in xml file.how we can set to use only specific drive letter for sysprep cidata drive to execute and complete the sysprep script.
EXT4 file system errors are detected: Filesystem errors found on CVM x.x.x.x. on the below device(s): Device: md2, Partition: home, Max Mount Count: -1Will the restart be a helpful step.
I am newbie for nutanix, please provide me the relevant information or links to gather the same information.I create a VM for windows 2022 and that can be done via Nutanix API. But once the VM is power on then 2022 desktop experience, i need to select things in order to proceed with installation. I want to automate this process.Create a VM Power ON the VM Complete windows server 2022 installationBasically, I want to install the windows 2022 without manual intervention. So, that with the single click or script full installation happens without waiting for my inputs. if it can be done via API or someone created script related to ansible or terraform to the same just let me know.
Hello technical leaders,Yesterday, I recieved the letter about KB-14514. It is HP firmware issue. There is,---------------HPE DX380/DX360 G10 Plus: Filesystem Errors and I/O errors on a hypervisor boot volume・Identification:The node is HPE DX380 G10 Plus FSC or HPE DX380 G10 Plus. It may have different number of drives such as 12, 24, etc. Has HBA controller HPE-NS204i-x-Gen10-Boot-Controller. HPE-NS204i-p-Gen10+ Boot-Controller with part number P12965-B21 or HPE-NS20i-r-Gen10+ Boot-Controller with part number P26463-B21.The host in most instances will be unreachable via SSH and not allow console logins.Filesystem inode errors and potentially other filesystem errors will be displayed on the IPMI console. Please note you may not see this on ESXi.The boot drives in the RAID report S.M.A.R.T status as PASSED/OK HPE iLO console for the host may show I/O errors as per the screenshot.---------------We have HPE DX380 G10 Plus and use HPE-NS204i-x-Gen10-Boot-Controller.I have a question. Hello,I'm working on building a Debian 12 image for Nutanix, but I found it difficult to start the automatic Debian installation process (DebianInstaller). Unlike other virtualizers that I have worked with so far, Nutanix does not have the "boot_command" parameter to start the self-installation process. Is there any documentation or tutorial on how to proceed in this case? Thanks for any guidance.
Hello,I have seen other posts similar to this subject, yet could not find a way to get the OVA files to be downloaded to a NAS solution ?Since from the GUI for the admin the maximum idle timeout is 1 hour, and I have about 5 TB total , can we get them with via filezilla / winscp (any one knows the path of the OVA files) , hopping will not disconnect after some time 😂, a none admin user will not see the OVA tab.I hope this is not the only wayhttps://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Prism-Central-Guide-vpc:mul-vm-export-as-ova-pc-t.html Please ignore disk transformation via Nutanix or other backup software(s).Thanks
Hi, I’m stuck while upgrading software on LCM.AOS(6.5.3.7) and others(Foundation,NCC ..etc)upgrades were successful, but the only thing I cant see on LCM is AHV hypervisor. I unzipped several versions(higher than 20201105.2267), and I even directly uploaded on LCM, but nothing shows up at Software Firmware Update tab. Attached is capture of Inventory How Can I solve this problem? Are these versions compatible?
Dears:I checked the “Nutanix Disaster Recovery Guide” and found from AOS 6.6, CG replication was supported on async replication, but not on nearsync or sync replication. Any ideas about CG when support near sync replication? The reason why I will have this question is we want to use CG nearsync replication to protect SQL server cluster. (Our RPO is about 10-15 mins), so I am worried about during planned failover or unplanned failover, the SQL server cluster could not start normally. Thank you very much!
Dears: Currently, we have 3 node cluster in PRD site. Now we plan to build the DR ability to build a multiple node cluster in DR site. We have one PC instance in PRD site now. My question is: In order to use protection policy to replicate PRD data to DR site(We plan to use nearSync), do we need to create a new PC instance in DR site?It seems one PC could manage multiple PEs, so one PC instance is enough. But what’s the function for DR site PC? Is it a mechanism to sync data from PRD PC to DR PC?
Hello team,The Mine™ with Veeam Guide only mensions the NX platform. The question is whether we can use Lenovo/Dell/HPE platform to install Mine with Veeam?
Hi. Is ESXi v8 supported yet?
Hi,I have a 3 node nutanix cluster, when initial deployment with foundation portable due to low space in my disk, the deployment failed. When trying to redeploy we are unable to deploy. We are unable to reset the node to its factory form. Is there any way to initiate a deployment?

Prism Central in Azure provides the control plane for Flow Virtual Networking. The subnet for Prism Central is delegated to Microsoft.BareMetal/AzureHostedService, so you can use native Azure networking to distribute IP addresses for Prism Central.Once you deploy Prism Central, the Flow Virtual Networking Gateway (FGW) VM deploys into the same VNet that Prism Central uses. The FGW allows communication between the guest VMs using the VPCs and the native Azure services. Using the FGW, guest VMs have parity with native Azure VMs for elements such as:User-defined routes: You can create custom or user-defined (static) routes in Azure to override Azure’s default system routes or to add routes to a subnet’s route table. In Azure, you create a route table, then associate the route table to zero or more virtual network subnets. Load balancer deployment: You can balance services offered by guest VMs with the Azure-native load balancer. Network security groups: You can write stateful firewall pol

We have pro license do we need add on license for Nutanix DR(leap)
can we keep multiple VDI master image vms in same consistency group or do we need to keep them one master image for consistency group?
Hi, anybody help me on below query, We have a three node AHV Nutanix cluster which is running on 1 Gig TOR Switch, now we are replacing the 10 Gig TOR switch instead of 1 Gig TOR Switch. is there any impact for the cluster..?what are the steps need to take to perform this activity…? Thanks,Ashok.
do we need to open port 9440 between sites for successful protection based replication.do we need 9440, 2020,2009 or any other ports required to open
Flow Virtual Networking Gateway VM High Availability When you initially deploy your first cluster, you can create two to four FGW VMs vs only one prior. The resiliency change is a big deal but getting traffic in and out of the cluster became a lot easier for Azure/Nutanix admins. The addition of the Azure Route servers along with the deployment of BGP VMS means that User Defined routes don’t need to be created. Anytime manual operations can be removed from a design, it means a win for the customer.Prior to AOS 6.7, if you deployed only one gateway VM, the NC2 portal redeployed a new FGW VM with an identical configuration when it detected that the original VM was down. Because this process invoked various Azure APIs, it took about 5 minutes before the new FGW VM was ready to forward traffic, which affected the north-south traffic flow.To reduce this downtime, NC2 on Azure uses an active-active configuration. This setup provides a flexible scale-out configuration when you need more traff
AOS 6.7 has added more options for securing your cluster in AWS. We will take a look at the existing options and dive into the new feaure in AOS 6.7.You can use AWS security groups and network access control lists to secure your cluster relative to other AWS or on-premises resources. Nutanix automatically creates three security groups to limit traffic to the cluster:Internal management: Allows all internal traffic between all CVMs and all AHV hosts (EC2 bare-metal hosts). Don’t edit this group without approval from Nutanix Support. User management: Allows users to access Prism Element and some other services running on the CVM. UVM: Allows UVMs to talk to each other. By default, all UVMs on all subnets can talk to each other, but you can edit the policy to lock down more traffic. You could alternatively use Flow Network Security to prevent east-west traffic. With AWS security groups, you can limit access to the AWS CVMs, AHV host, and UVMs only from your on-premises management network
Dear Experts I would like to know the below How can we download the HYCU Virtual Appliance.? Are we suppose to get the HYCU Customer Portal Credentials , when we procure the HYCU licenses. Please advice.
I would like to know if there is a way to define a kind of "VM class" in a Nutanix cluster, similar to what I can do with VMware's resource pool. The objective is to limit excessive CPU and IOPS usage. My goal is to have CPU classes like 'bronze, silver, gold' and the same for storage. If you have any information, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks in advance
Hi All,We are using a backup tool on some Nutanix clusters and after some testing, it turns out backup does not work very well. So I consider alternatives and explore the full backup capacities with the protection domains. Is it possible to do granular backup (restore file), can we run pre/post scripts? Also Can we backup non-Nutanix clusters (VMware) with PD?Thanks in advance for your answersRegards,
